Nice bike, great demo. Took me back to the 70’s where I spent most of my time riding bikes on one wheel. Now at 60 I ride year round, mostly on two wheels, unless I make a mistake. Cheers from Canada!
@@alloutbikes it would be . I have looked for them on eBay here in the uk and like a lot of bikes from are youth they are now fortunes . I remember they had the the 3 speed hub gears that the little chain always broke on and left you stuck in top gear . Certainly kept young me fit 🤣 Love everything your putting out now and nice that we are getting regular videos . Always look forward to watching 👍
Nice wheelies and great video. It shows how much assemble work is involved to properly set up a ride. It appears that you can true a rim with your eyes closed ! You are a master pro. Im almost done with the white/red 85 powerlite,, found a mid 80s red /chrome kmc chain , period correct, baby! Ok cheers
BACK IN THE LATE 70'S EARLY 80'S I HAD A PEUGEOT 103 SP PORTED, POLISHED AND BALANCED MOTOR WITH 55MPH 1 PERSON AND 45MPH WITH 2. IT WAS ALL BLACK WITH EVERYTHING THAT WAS CHROMED LIKE WHEELS, HANDLEBARS, FENDERS AND ACCESSORY'S WAS GOLD ANODIZED. IT LOOKED SO GREAT IN COLOR AS THIS BIKE YOU HAVE ASSEMBLED. IN THAT TIME I HAD PUT OVER 30K MILES ON IT IN SO CAL.
Great video, wish your bike shop wasn't four states away from me. Hard to find a shop here in Michigan that takes the care you do in setting up a bike!
I ALWAYS ENJOY YOUR MECHANICAL PERFECTION SKILLS, IF IT IS NOT RIGHT, IT IS WRONG. I WOULD LOVE TO SEE A VIDEO AND STORY OF YOUR DAD AND THE WAY YOU GREW UP UNDER HIS "SCHOOLING".
May I offer my opinion…I’ve enjoyed watching your videos. However I would like to watch you working at normal speed. Part of the joy is listening to you talk about what you love doing. Maybe edit out phone calls and customers coming in but I want to watch you work. Unboxing the bikes is also part of the experience I want to see it in normal speed. Explain the wheel spoking process, talk about your tools, what kind of grease or lube you like using and why? Do you use torque wrenches? How do you shorten a chain? What is a low quality part vs high quality. Honestly, I enjoyed the first few minutes and the last few minutes hearing you talk about all the details of the bike. I’m not necessarily watching to learn about bikes I enjoy watching you. Thanks 🙂
Thank you for your input. I will try something along those lines. I am very picky on building bikes. I take about 2 hours per bike which is a long video. I may do a detailed video on something without speeding up. Thank you Ryan. I need good feedback.👍
I prefer rim brakes because it is lighter. I work in a bike shop and we get a lot of broken spokes on bikes with disc brakes. I also don't like the sound of fingers going across a chalkboard sound with disc brakes. I do love my disc brakes on my downhill bike. I also like that V brakes are easier to work on. That is just my preference. I hope that answers your question. Thanks for commenting.👍
Cool video and cool bike. Maybe you should ask the person who purchased it if they want those two links removed so they can have better breaking and do wheelies easier? Didn't you say the bike was built for doing wheelies. Good video with the exception of the creepy music you and your brother seemed to put into their videos LOL.
He wanted to ride it first. He is planning on bringing the bike back for modifications. Sorry about the creepy music. There was other choices for music but it did not fit the mood while editing. Thanks!
@@alloutbikes well that's smart I guess you shouldn't permanently remove something before the owner rides it. Surprised I didn't think about that. That's why you the man.
It depends on the bike. Some bikes take more time then others. Most BMX assembly is $70 multiple speeds go for $90. That is what we charge for a proper build. Some people don't want to pay that so we have budget assembly but the wheels might not be perfect. We try to work with the customer.👍
Easy. V brakes stop the rim. Disc brakes stops the hub while putting lots of stress on the spokes. Most of the wheels I'm working on with broken spokes have disc brakes. Disc brakes are nice they are not perfect neither are V brakes. I just prefer V brakes.

That might be interesting. The only thing you have to worry about is it's not suspension corrected meaning it would chopper out the front end. It might work it might not. Let's do it!

Very good channel thanks for sharing your insights you’re very helpful
Beautiful bike!

Why on this bike do you prefer a v-brake over disc brake? It will wear off the anodizing.
Yes, but at least I don't have to worry about warped disc rotors or broke spokes. It just what I prefer nothing wrong with disc brakes.👍

Cool! Thanks for sharing.
I'm lacing up a 4× cross 36 spoke wheel, is it ok to lace over-over-over- over? Instead of over-over-over- under? I thought I heard either way is ok

how tall do you have to be to ride one of these
Looking for a knock around bike. I an considering one of these. How tall are you? I am 6'4" and concerned they may be to small.
I am 6'1". It should fit you fairly well.
How tall are these 29-ers at the top headset with the tires monted.
