Great Scott!
In this video I talk about my experience working on a Scott Patron Ebike. I had a customer bring me a bike to install a chain and to check over the bike. Little did I know the problems were just starting.

In this video we grab an old BMX bike donated by a customer to finish 2024 with style. The BMX bike in question is a 1983 MCS Magnum 2000. Our computer crashed and lost footage, but we had enough filmed that we were able to put something together for you.

THAT'S KOOL
That's really cool. Thanks Dave
Haven’t seen v-brakes in over a decade.
Nice 👍
I ran fubars back in the day on my GT Bump!
I had one as a kid in the 70s. Loved that thing. Only one i ever seen and was the envy of all the neighborhood kids i guess that's why it was stolen from my back yard. My brother worked diligently on it restoring it with all the latest accessories at that time. Mag wheels, box bars, alloy seat post and goose neck sure made it stand out. Would still like to have one for the memories as my brother was killed later in a motorcycle accident.
Sorry to here about your brother. Thank you for sharing. Keep those memories of your brother. Never let them go.👍
Thanks for doing this so that others won't. Thumbs up.
I actually had someone yell at me because I wouldn't JB Weld their bike together. That is what gave me the idea for the video. Thanks for watching.👍
Bought my first Miami Sun Trike in 2001, for about 300 $. I had for about 20 years and had to keep it outside where things rust overnight. The frame was ok, but everything else rusted. In 2021, I went to a bike shop, to get a new Sun Trike and the price was about 700 $.
They were $700 back around 2021 but have come down a little since.
How much are these worth these days? And what currency
Not much. I would say about $600 US dollars in good shape.
Old school BMX racing.... You may want to consider an annual trip here specifically the 2nd weekend in November as they have the Duel of the decades old school race at Richmond BMX. Before Capitol city started having theirs a couple years ago this is where I would race old school and its the most fun I ever had at a BMX track and I raced every week in Raleigh before moving to Australia. Cool thing is you have a bike from all 3 decades, 70's,80's and 90's so you get 3 chances to qualify for mains and can race 3 different bikes with your choice if you qualify. I only entered 80's and 90's as I didn't own any 70's BMX at the time. Even though I lived in NC i did race here many times as it was such a peaceful stretch of I-85 from NC to Richmond. The track is just around the corner from the powers BMX shop.
Thank you for sharing. I will check that out. Thank you.👍
👋
👋👋
I had this bike! I circled in in the service merchandise catalog and got it for my birthday. I was so proud of it.
Thanks for sharing. It would be cool if you still had it.👍
My first BMX back in the 80's, it was my pride and joy, thankyou for the nostalgia 🇬🇧

Thanks dude!!
Thx Jason! Good video. 👊👊🤙🤙🫡
Cool bikes
Thank you! 🙏
I use to have that same purple gt performer but with green GT tires :) I called it the joker back in the 90s very heavy bike and prefered my redline. Robinsons were my childhood dreambike.
That’s sick!
I hated that horrible "music" ! Surly you don't enjoy listening to that. Definitely used the mute button. Bikes were cool though.
Thank you for the feedback. I will try better.👍
Sorry about that. I will make sure to keep it in mind. Thanks for the feedback.👍
I've heard of that shop! Thanks for showing their bikes, though a bit more midschool than I was expecting, I especially liked seeing the OG 80's stuff, the lavender GT Pro Performer in particular. I had to mute the music though, lol.
We have a good amount from all eras! Gotta come check us out! And give us a follow
Need to promote yourself to Chief Mechanic in the into ... 🤜🤛
This was Jason's second visit to this shop /display centre . The last time , a bicycle he had , he learnt more about afterwards , as once again they showed limited knowledge . Decade interest groups may be a better source of information as well as people that ushered them in in the late 1970's to the early 1990's . I have a friend who is 75 that sold models from the early period , who is very knowledgeable about them .
I have only been once. The owner of the store was supposed to be there but had other things to do so he decided to take the day off. He didn't know I was coming otherwise he would have been there or told me to come another day. Not their fault. I showed up pretty much unannounced. They have an amazing place. If your around and like BMX I highly recommend stopping by.👍
@alloutbikes I will try and retrieve the other video I recall seeing a few weeks ago , and if it is in my history , I can send the link if the software on You Tube allows or otherwise the video particulars .
@alloutbikes I am an Australian resident . I saw Donald Trump's induction to parliament yesterday commencing at 3AM , Sydney time . I wish him well .

Did the owner know they are worth 4K on the market? My guess nope.
Yes he did. He has two other Motomags. He said he wants to bring another for me to restore for him.
so I’m my Minson. I’m thinking of putting on a lay-back seat post. I feel that will give it better control..
It might but it might also make it loop out aswell. Be careful if you try it.
Dude, you are the best about explaining this process of the dereillure. After watching some many others, I spent two days trying to tune this railing and got NO-where until I came across your video. Thanks. How about a bleeding the brakes, do you have a video on this Phatmoto brakes?
Thank you! I appreciate that. I did do a video on setting up cable actuated brakes. It is somewhere on my channel. I may have to do another one. Thanks for sharing.👍
Hey there, what brand tire did you use on the Boss Build?
I used SE tires.
That’s definitely a boss . I love mystery bikes because I have one too . I’ve been trying to figure it out the last 20 years
Thanks for sharing. I hope you figure it out.👍
I still have my tri power all original 81
