Such a cool bike!! I live next town to Livermore, CA where Boss used to build some of their bikes here. That bike shop sticker “Hank and Frank Bicycles’ is still around. Awesome piece of history!! Looking forward to seeing it cleanup some more. Drooling over some of those parts you have, especially learning about the boa…going to look for a nice set. Having any you want to sell for one of my builds 😅? Appreciated your videos!! 🤙🏼🤙🏼🤙🏼

I am glad I have a lady friend that helps me with my wheel lacing tasks when I get overwhelmed .

there is a 87' Boss 26" on the bmxmuseum that appears to have the round gusset behind the BB. Also a 85' that has the standard double plate design.

Definitely Boss dropouts. Doesn’t appear to be repainted, does it? Either way, it looks legit. Sweet bike! And shoutout to Powers BMX! Awesome Shop with some awesome people! I wish I was only 2.5 hours from there. I’m over 10, but made the drive for their 20th anniversary and had one of the best weekends ever. They know how to throw a jam.

I built my own lacing stands in 1996 as Park's one wasn't versatile enough for my needs .

My own bicycle frame builds had my name acronym with date of manufacture as well as my serial number range .

Jason , it sounds like you buy rarity components on line or through Facebook market place / industry friends and even clients helping you with their finds .

It could be a LS Creation which I believe Boss made.

Ok. The channel Cars and Cameras. Are y’all brothers? Same dude? If not y’all are for real twins. Voice and all with a different accent. Blowing my mind. Someone tell me I’m seeing/hearing wrong

Sad that the Boss has lost some authenticity with the rebuild thus far.

How so? When you bought a Boss you got the frame and went from there. People had preferences on the parts they liked. All the parts are from the same time except the handlebars and I'm working on that. I'm also trying to keep this within a reasonable budget. Going all Boss parts is insane budget wise. What would you do different? And keep in mind reasonable prices. I really want to know what you would do.

Then donate some money to Jason. There's another thought here, start your own channel. We want to see your restorations. lol

@@alloutbikes I try to follow Bike Shed Boy's concepts or those of Sydney Retro MTB's Jonny Myatt here on RUclips . The museum contributors try to do this as well as you would have seen . This is a popular approach in my region . I am "authentic restoring" a 2004 Gary Fisher Tassajara at the moment . Also a 1986 Giant Iguana .
