Surprisingly the cheaper set's microphone signed better to me.
I just picked up the Blackshark v2 pro on a gamble from Amazon "used, good" for like $85. They came in without a blemish and after tweaking the audio sounds great.
I LOVE that you actually do wireless content !
Still using the Razer Blackshark V2 Pro. It is amazing! Sounds so good and everyone says they think I am on a professional podcast setup.
Still??? Those aren’t old
Did Razer fix the weak mic monitoring yet for the V2 Pro? I ended up returning my V2 Pro for the V2 SE. At the time there was no question the wired V2 SE had far superior mic monitoring.
Don’t know what the people u talk with are saying but wireless headsets have much worse microphones.
I would have like to see this high end headset compared to the Audeze penrose.
Well Done! The ad Spot timer actually made me watch the ad.
Thx for the vid, liked that it has a countdown timer for horrible sound @8:28
Now I can go back to my PC38X and feel contented that my investment is worth every penny - great mic, good sound quality, zero latency, infinite battery life lol
I love how the Segway to the sponsor was good but there is literally no link to the Sponsor Product in the description (for now)
You guys really should revisit the review you made on Sennheiser GSP 370. The battery life on that thing is a beast, lasting up to 1 week of usage while at the same time providing great quality of audio. Please do a revisit. It's been improved since its rough launch.
I am using the Epos GSP 370s and absolutely love them, i love the 100 hour battery and i got them on sale and will not change them anytime soon
Me with my 2$ earphones: yeah I can hear the difference 😭😭😭
Just dropped a Like for that segue to the sponsor. Keep it up guys!
i've been following your videos and struggling to decide the best gaming headset for me. I'm looking to go premium and i've had astro a50s, arctic pros and even tried beyerdynamic 1770dt pro w/shure mv7x mic and it's "meh" curious what you're recommending these days for top of line
Lmao the mic sounds better and more clear without the boom in the expensive one 😂🤣😂🤣😂
liking the new vr fitting test
I m still rocking the last 19usd headset you recommended two years ago
and what is that headset, I am interested
What headphones are those??? I’m thirsty to find out 😂😂😂
i bought the Binunne headset and i install a windows equalizer and with the equalizer settings it sound as good as my friend corsair virtuoso and you forgot to mention that the Binnune headset have 50 mm drivers. Best bang for the buck ever with an astounding good mic that beat the the majority of the expansive headset!
please could you add the option *multipoint* each time you review wireless headphones?
it's pretty important for the convenience of use, i have my phone connected to my headset while i am playing so i don' t miss any call even if i am deep in the game.
I am eagerly waiting since a long time for you to review Corsair Virtuoso XT
corsair void elite, for me. nice feel, great sound, fantastic mic.
Would you actually consider testing the PG16 from Austrian Audio? It's a company with former employees of AKG so the quality could actually be quite good at an quite affordable price (at least in EU).
Hardware Canucks would be a perfect stuntman for Starlord.
For a $450 price point I would expect gold plating.
😄
Nothing beats the Corsair HS80 wireless microphone!!
I was interested in the M&D cans Vs the Audeze Penrose/Mobius because AFAIC it's the best sounding gaming headset I've tried and I've tried a lot.
I had both Penrose/Mobius and the MG20 and Penrose are still better. The M&D have beryllium drivers which need some breaking to get the most out of them and they sound good but Penrose are just hard to beat. Ended up returning mine because the top cushion would hurt the top of my head after a while plus the issue he has with the audio crackling horribly when there is a connection interruption which happened often for me.
I got a blackshark v2 pro and so far its been fantastic! :)
Where is the link for the Razer Blade 15? Interested to check it out and too lazy to search. Maybe next time.
I like your honesty. Keep it going king
Good video 👌
Btw plz plz plz make a video interducing good laptops for engineers. The reason I ask u that is RUclipsrs talk about mux switch and g-sink etc but idk if they rly matter to the performance outside of games. I personally work with 3d apps like Solid Work and MATLAB which benefit from a powerful enough GPU. And been looking for a 16 inch laptop with a good screen and ofc value. I've been asking u for a while and I know u r busy but plz make it ✌️
Something I would like to know is if it's safe to use use a headset on a regular basis. Am I at risk of damaging my hearing if I use a headset every day for several hours a day?
I dont mind watching the ads because these guys entertain while giving info.
Re: audible noise, that doesn't become inaudible when there's any audio coming through. It just becomes indistinct, but it's still there screwing with what you hear.
That said, it's not like 0.05% THD+N vs 0.5% THD+N would have a massive difference if you're only hearing MP3 gunfire and footsteps while trying to aim and hit something instead of, say, focusing on music (preferably lossless, but not necessarily) where you'll notice bass being weaker or more hollow (if you tested it on the same drivers and then added the same kind of noise or used an amp that has that noise). Not to mention that depending on your computer's cooling system you might not be able to do what some people do and just slap a mic on an open back audiophile headphone even if you don't mind dealing with cables.
So on one hand, off the bat there is a market for "premium" headsets if you do more than just game on it even if the other uses are just casual music listening (and then you have a reference headphone or speaker system for serious listening). On the other hand however the MG20 flaking and scratching seems kind of iffy compared to, say, if Sennheiser still works just like before and for their gaming headsets as well, ie, you can break anything on your HD600 for example and be able to get the parts. If their gaming line worked like that, not to mention they don't cost $450, I'd recommend those.
Thanks for the honest review especially about the comfort on the cheaper model. As I would wear this for 8 hours a day, comfort is important.
Link for sponsor is not in description! I was actually wanting to click this one!
Please review again the Shp 9500, is it still worth it for gaming?
Sennheiser IE 300 and Sennheiser HD660s is my current setup .. Plus a 3$ usb microphone from aliexpress (which is perhaps the best mic I've ever owned) 👌
Wouldn't change a thing ..
That Taguilla swing eheh!
Still rocking with my Samson sr850
Are you satisfied with the Corsair monitor we see in your videos? :)
I love the size, this is the first 32" I've used for gaming. Love the iCUE integration to change picture profiles and settings but contrast slider is not doing what other monitors do (increasing contrast adds a lot of brightness without much modification to the black levels while decreasing contrast doesn't reveal much in the shadows... strange). Great sharpness though and nice response times for EFT.
-D.
I am happy with my Sennheiser GameOne open back for several years.
Imagine paying $450 for a gaming headset instead of getting hd6xx or hd560s with a $200 stack and a $50 USB microphone
nice pfp
True lmao. That mic is a total joke.
Well wired vs wireless. For many ppl it is a very significant comfort and practicality upgrade. I made my SHP9500 wireless with a mpow BT-Receiver. And I happen to have a ModMic Wireless. But the ModMic Wireless is pricey for around $130€.
Amen my brother!!! I have been shown the light & will never go back to gaming headsets ever again 🤦🏾🤷🏾
please for the love of your ears, dont buy gaming headsets.
they're gimmicky trash with dumb designs that just cost money for looks and the brand
Some good content from Dimitri.
Hey, it wud be plzr if U guys once give a try to OneOdio A71D Gaming headphones.. I think their sound quality really punches above there asking price of around 35-40$ and comes with a decently sounding detachable boom mic
01:01 wtf haha that laugh got me and at 1:50 too 🤣🤣
As a person who has headphones and earbuds in a wide price range, I find that a good midrange pair can compete well with the high end ones while costing way less. Typically, the more expensive higher end ones are better overall but not 3-10X better as the price difference scales.
Very true. For my PC headset i use the Creative SXFI Gamer and they are incredible. I got them on a deal from their website for 89 euro and they blow most of the other gaming headsets i've owned that cost way more out of the water. I know they're not wireless but as i sit at a desk i don't mind.
@@garethg8226 Same, i got the Cooler Master MH670 after i saw Hardware Canucks Wireless Headset Roundup from about 10 months ago, and god damn, for 100€, i can''t be more satisfied. My friend got the Astro A50 for 250€ and my mic literally blows his. IDK bout Sound but the CM also sound great with some fine-tuning in Windows EQ.
@@garethg8226 Awesome. I have the Arctic 7 wireless from Steel Series. They have been pretty solid so far. I bought my gf a cheaper set for work from home and while they sound great, they are not comfortable for my larger head. The Steel Series is so comfortable which is huge for heavy use. I also use Bluetooth noise cancelling Sony headphones which retailed for $350 and while they are amazing for media consumption and music, they lack a dedicated mic which is a big tradeoff.
You can buy 15$ in ears that will surprise you with sound quality and won't be bad in comparison to more expensive audio
For sure there are diminishing returns when price is scaling up.
I got the B&O Portal for 1/2 the price (around $250 CAD). I thought it was a good deal as I was primarily looking for a wireless (I don't entertain wired headphones anymore. I know I am giving up some quality vs. a wired planar for example but that's fine) headset for multimedia use and some occasional gaming. I also liked the metal and leather build as opposed to the cheap and tacky looking plastic construction that's common in gaming headsets.
The issue with the MG20 is that it lacks a lot key features like ANC/transparency that would make it a good all-around wireless headphone.
To warrant this price, it needs to be something that competes with bluetooth headphones like the WH-1000XM4s from Sony.
Where did you find the Portal for that low of a price in Canada?
@@TheBoyComeHome I found a pair on eBay.
@@mohamedahmed1023 Nice find! I'll take a look there
I have a question, if i have a hi end motherboard with a really good sound card [ gigabyte x570 aorus master ] will improove the sound quality? and if it does in which port? 3.5mm jack? or usb? i don't know.
I'm thinking to buy the hyperx cloud orbit
I'm waiting for your answer :)
kindly make video for gaming headphones(wired) to buy in 2022.
Beyerdynamic just needs to make a wireless version of their MMX150, or at least sell M&D some mics.
As dankpods stated good headphone stays good, best budget or how premium it is. My take was premium price audiophile headphones as often used as the avrage time my pc was on, then a budget standalone Microphone.
Nice to see Chris Pratt reviewing tech gear! Keep up the good work!
Why is the mic so much better on the cheaper one?!?! That is maddening
Actually was looking down below for the Razer G15 add and it's not there!
Are there any chance you will review the epos h3pro hybrid wireless?
Could you review Astro’s headsets?
i have given up with gaming headsets or headsets in general. every time i try to look ones that i like they always have 2 things in common, either the sound quality is good but has shitty mic or the mic is good but the sound quality sucks. now i just use studio monitors or media headphones with mod mic or desk mic. "i now have Trust GXT 242 bc my old mod mic died after years of service" and the cans im using now is HM5's since i got ones during the winter sale but i need to get a custom headband on them since its the only part of them i dont like.
i also love my SHP9500 but they dont fit that well on my fat round head "i got the 3D printed adapters for HM5 pads for them"
How would you compare the 2 with HyperX Cloud II Wireless?
could you guys review lenovo g435
it looks like an awesome option for budget wireless :3
Dmitri;s face in the thumbnail tho XD
the one visible problem with the super expensive headset didnt seem to be much of a problem for you. i imagine if the black was peeling off the cheap headset it would have caused more concern :( that expensive one should have been flawless. i would have been well dissapointed with that headset if it came scuffed or whatever, if it peels off then surely its a cheap solution.
It‘s totally absurd imo to pay 450 bucks for that headset!😂
Have been using my HyperX Cloud II Gunmetal Wired for 6 years and never had any issue beside the "coddles" is starting to feel like there is nothing between my ears and the headset which is understandible due the long time of uses.
5:48 cheaper headphone had better microphone quality. quite surprising. for $450, the expensive one's microphone is utter garbage.
Dont understand why screwing up on the mic since I bought a 6$ Lavalier mic and it surpased all ever heart before. No kiding it is real good 😲
Dmitry, are you getting lessons from Linus in smooth segues? ;)
Currently using the Razer Blackshark V2s and I love this headset so far!
make a video about earbud vs headphone
I don't know if I'm high today or sth, but in this video, Dimitris' jokes actually made me laugh
Every time one of your headset reviews comes out I can't help but come to the conclusion that the Arctis 7 pair I got shortly after they came out were (and still are) a great buy. The battery life is amazing - I still regularly get 20-30 hours of life out of a charge, the microphone sound quality is sharp and clear and I like the flexible and retractable arm, it's comfortable enough to keep on for 12 hours a day, and I can walk to the other side of my house and still have a clear conversation through it. My only complaint is the volume dials which... tbh make no sense and don't really work as described (you basically have two dials that do more or less the same thing). And ofc the sound quality - gotta say better than any set of speakers I've had.
when will we see new cases reviews, canucs? :P
Would it really be an escape from tarkov demo if you didn't get your skull crushed by tagilla?
We need new test with lowest latency headphones.. Review AIAIAI wireless compared with MD...
Just get a good headset, like DT770 Pro.
I have it and also DT900 Pro X, how amazing the song is!
Do y’all think the black shark V2 or barracuda X is better
Oddly enough I found the cheaper mic to sound better
What is your headphone setup do you use a DAC / AMP
Is this spam hardware canucks?
I'm still using my $15 HP headset from 4 years ago
review te g435, please.
There is no correlation between frequency response and price. So there's a good chance that with some tuning, the cheaper headset might actually sound a lot better than it does out of the box.
Generally speaking, the cheaper a headset, the worse it will take to EQ. Forgive the expression, but it's like putting liptick on a pig.
@@bonanzabrandon6877 My point is that, that's not necessarily true. Of course there will be instances where you can't EQ a headphone to get it to sound "good". But there are plenty of instances, where you can get even cheap earbuds or IEMs to sound incredible, or follow the Harman target very closely.
For example, I bought myself the ear fun free pro 2's. And using a custom tuning from a youtuber (that you can save on the earbud's firmware, which is really nice) the earbuds now sound like a whole new beast; subjectively, they sound better than anything else I've owned before, it's quite remarkable.
@@saintkamus14 who's the youtuber
@@spike5499Oluv's gadgets is the name of the channel. He doesn't make the tunings publicly available, they're only available to his patreons, which is why I didn't mention it.
I bought one and for the price nothing come even close and what the reviewer forget to mention is that they come with 50 mm drivers and with EPO equalizer they sound as good as the corsair virtuoso and i am not kidding you here. This is the most underrated headset currently and the elitism of many reviewers is understandable since they often get paid by big brand names.
I use a Razer headset for multiplayer gaming with friends on discord and studio headphones for single player games perfectly balanced
Steelseries Arctis Wireless Pro still cuts it for me, hasn't disappointed me
blackshark razer wirless is good also
Try the EPOS H3 Hybrid
U forgot to teste mic wired mode
What's the best headset if budget isn't an issue?
Headphones and a mic
@@paulloth very helpful. Thanks.
@@Jsnwrd seconding what the previous person mentioned. But remember, there’s no such thing as “best” headphone. Sound can be very subjective.
Umm right now for wireless I'm still on the Cloud II Wireless (the most convenient wireless headset I've used for years) or the EPOS H6 Pro (closed) for gaming. Amazing sound resolution / removable mic / comfy and easy to drive.
-D.
@@HardwareCanucks thanks for the response. I'll look at them both
Love from India... Ur expressions 🤣 are awesome man.. more awesome ur videos are..!!
Sony Pulse 3d. Comfort, build quality, 100$, great audio quality, poor battery. I really like it
I would swap the cuffs from an older pair that I liked and done son lol
Every laptop user should know this.
1.
Just “raise the bottom” let more air into the machine and you will found cpu&gpu each them reduce 10~15°C or in high usage will have more efficacy
2.
You shouldn’t be use “laptop cooler” , cuz that effectiveness actually just like you put two bottle caps under laptop to raise it.
But the cooler still use your limited power and it will let cpu&gpu become more hungry.
There also very many ways let your experience better , like
“gamer most of the time should limit cpu’s PL1&PL2 and offset voltage”
“discrete graphics card overclock”.
Sorry my bad English, hope it's not too hard to read.
Just want help you gus.
From Taiwan
Seriously u haven’t heard of Master & Dynamic?
Or just buy a really good actual headphone like a Fidelio X2 and slap a modmic or whatever you want on it for almost half the price of the $450 one.
incredible
Ha that mic quality on the cheap set sounds loads better than the mic on the Astros lol, then again, most mics sound better than the Astros lol
He changed it back
The cheaper mic sounds way better lol!
plz unbox lenovo legiom slI'm 7 2022 model
OOMPAVILLE!!!1!11!11!
You really did not make a good review on the Binnune since the battery life is 48 hr at 70% volume!
Imho someone needs to make a headset with a small battery that can get tossed into a jean, jacket or shirt pocket. I don't care about having no cables period, I care about being able to walk away from my pc whenever I want. I know some people use thet Fiio BTR5 for all their portable iem+headphone needs for that goated sound quality-- they just need to make a larger version of that for gamers.
The Sony XM4 are still the kings of this category
Weirdly, cheap was better than the off mic which was better than the detachable mic... weird.
Overall... seems cheap slams the expensive real hard where it counts the most.
My Steel 3s are actually nicer than my 9s...
youre taking notes of daddy linus in the segway to sponsor arent you
