An eye for an eye makes the world go blind. These ape creatures were literally just doing what predators and omnivores do all the time, what we humans do all the time. Maybe its better to just accept that we can also be pray, and work around that instead.

@@LighthouseHorror Yeah man it was a beaut! I have to be honest though the level of awareness in the sound and vibration was so unique it had a positively rememberd feel as opposed to a created feel to the writing style. I am someone with a deep affiliation to sound and vibration including everything from music to rail guns, thunder storms to deep vane mining with ultrasound . I still feel the secret of perpetual motion will be solved with vibration. Sorry..I digress. So, to hear an old old strory type told in such a refreshing way it just drew me the hell in. Then throw (quite literally) dismembered human body parts in, the level of immersion I had for the first time in a long time caused me to actually wince at the description of the bones protruding through the shin of the severed leg. I honestly thought I was so overly saturated in gore that nothing would ever make me swallow hard again. Sorry, I got to leave work early and I'm a bit excited hahaha. Huge credit to both you Stephen and the Author, you both have unique talent and I'm so pleased I got to hear this brought together by you both. Cheers, Lee.

The first one of your stories I ever listened to was "I Rented a Cabin In the Woods; I Didn't Expect to Fight a Wendigo". Back then it was known as something different along the lines of "We Got Trapped in an Avalanche; a Wendigo Picked Us Off One-By-One". It is still my favorite of your stories by far but I don't think there's a single bad narration in your catalog. The way you bring the characters in each story to life and not just read them all like a book set you so far apart from every other horror narrator I've listened to. You externalize the emotions every character is going through in your tone and voice quite effectively and it makes every story feel more visceral and engaging. I'll put your stories on in long car rides, when I'm winding down for bed, or even as background noise when doing work and you never dissapoint. I'm glad you're getting more attention from people discovering you much like how I did and I know I'll be around to listen to more of these in the future!

The story of the boy surviving the horrific beast attack was ama zinging and chillingly told. But you can bet that whatever family group or tribe of bigfoot (or whatever) will dearly regret attacking the humans. When compared to other mammals, man seems feeble. But man's intelligence is supreme. When our bodies are not enough, we create weapons. When our weapons are not enough, we make better weapons. And we have something else that the other creatures of nature do not: we know how to hate. We hold a grudge. And we actively seek revenge. All animals fight: but humans make war. the bigfoot killed humans that night, but their entire species will not survive the repercussions.
This story was so well written, evocatively narrated. it makes you wonder----if in a much younger era, mankind warred with creatures like bigfoot and destroyed them. Maybe that is why real animals like the dire wolf, cave bear and saber tooth tiger died out-----they made the mistake of preying on humans, and earned humans' hatred. And our ancestors made war on them.

Amazing author, taking the listener along for everything, never missing one detail. The entire time it was as if there was a screen playing in my mind, never missing a thing. The always perfect narration of Mr Creeps and the descriptive writing of Entropy kid is an amazing combination! Had to listen again and then just one more time. I would not advise listeners to listen while working or while doing anything that requires undivided attention, ie, operating a vehicle.
Thank you Mr Creeps and Entropy kid!

If there's a sequel made to this, they need to elaborate on the mc's Grandpa being hinted at having more knowledge on the creatures that killed their loved ones. I think the creatures have to be at least inspired by Gugs. They're from Lovecraft's Dreamlands. Large, bipedal creatures covered in fur, which have no jaw but a vertical split down their head to torso area. The arms of the creatures weren't described in full, but Gugs have 4 forearms. 2 biceps that each branch into two forearms.

And retired Sheriff Grandad is just what we all needed and wanted to see. Sequel, Sequel! Thank you, this story was vivid and with the last barked shriek I wanted revenge, only the blood of the beast will suffice. You are a remarkably talented storyteller, love your style!
