Gene is one of the greatest Metal drummers of all Times without any doubt and he has been one of my personal favorite drummers for many years now. Plus he seems to be such a very cool person just to bullshit with. A very down to earth dude. Can't wait to see that super group he's forming.\m/

He lost a ton of weight. I used to see him at thrash metal shows in LA in the mid-to-late 80's and he was huge - at least 300 lbs.
This man loves what he does. Surely that’s good for the health.

Pretty awesome you guys snagged an interview with God. Saw him play with SYL and then sit in for Lopez with Opeth in the same show in Denver years ago. Also seen him fill in for Unearth.

Love Gene. Met him on the street in Denver in 2002/3 when he was playing a show with Strapping. Being a huge fan of SYL (and being from Scotland)...this was a very cool moment.

Drums, lights, camera ...... give it a few years and we'll end up seeing a one man tour where Gene plays drums, guitar, bass and sings , all at the same time, for around 3 hours a night.
Yeah, I would pay to see that .. :D

I always wondered how demanding it must be physically to drum for a 2 hour liveset, meanwhile Gene here talking about drumming 10 hours a day on studio..

I don't know why Slayer never hired him - he's not a good as Lombardo (at least when it comes to playing Slayer songs - no one can match Dave), but he's surely better than Paul Bostaph.
