Does anyone know what its called??
CORTION Right. Them drums and chanting hit my Soul
You are onto something here, especially the animation. It makes African mythology interesting. Keep up the good work.
Oh,...as a South Sudanese, I’d be remiss if I didn’t ask for a similar video on Dinka Mythology. It’s very interesting and with a wide pantheon of Deities and Spirits/Spiritual totems in the form of animals and trees. There are also great books on this such as “Dinka Cosmology” by Dr. Francis Deng, “Divinity and experience” by Godfrey Lienhardt. You could also combine this with Nuer Religion (several books on this). Check it out, you won’t regret it. 😉
if you commission it, we artists can do it.
#FACT: "Africa" is not a tribe or culture. It's a continent with over 3,000 different cultures.
And sovereign countries, one needs passport to travel to each country and visa as well.
@@pluffshangazi8487 The oboruni do not understand Africa and Africa does not understand the oboruni. #LMFAO
@@siriusdigitalmedia hmmm true so we have to educate each other.
@@pluffshangazi8487 Your people need to call off the war against my culture and heritage first. It was the Akan that sold some of my people into slavery...AFTER being captured during war with the Akan. I lived in Ghana before. I know the truth.
It’s the birth place of diversity. And that diversity spread across the world.
Loved the animating and story telling
My dude, my grandma used to read this story. This is amazing. You my man are doing an important work. Preservation of our history and story. Love u man
Who’s proud of their African roots from Somalia 🇸🇴
None of them because they are coming to the US
None because they are all coming to the U.S.
Edward Whiteside well duh they escaping from war and conflict they want better life for their kids. Stupid no one wants die and specially for their kids
@@Real_Captainn Shole country. Even African people hate it. Amazing!!!
What is there to be proud of?
As a teacher of Ancient Civilizations, I love this channel for not only the videos, but for the resources surrounding Ancient African History and Mythology. It is appalling to admit, but the textbook I was given for my class barely has more than half a chapter talking about African civilizations besides Kush and Egypt. Thank you for providing the content my students need for a better understanding of the world.
Walumbe to escape kayiikkuuzi, he ran to the underworld through the Ta-nda gateway. And legend has it that when ever you die we say Wa-lumbe a-mu-tutte; when you die from dis-ease we say olumbe lumu-mu-tutte Ka-yii-kuuzi was not a brother but a protector to Na-mbi. Thank you for all the work you do ; im a muganda born and bread. I know alot of legends like these that I would like to share.
They were brothers .
Please share them. I and others would love to hear them.
Sigh. I love and appreciate this channel so much
Wow this is amazing man, I read a variation of this story in primary school here in Rwanda.
Crazy production and animation man, can't wait to see more!
Hey brother. Please share the variation you learnt in school?
Keep is flowing HomeTeam! With love from Sakhile “Ausar-Maat SetepenRa” Mashaba all the way in South Africa...please do something about how as African we all come from a common ancestor. People are so caught up their ethnic groups that even the very Bantus of South Africa tend to perceive themselves as different for each other, the Zulu tend to look down upon the Tswanas, The Tswanas against the Xhosas and so on. We need a powerful narrative which will clearly explain the migration from wherever and how we became diverse in language though the same people.
Keep it flowing Sir!
Animated videos are dope bro. Keep it up✊🏾
Am I the only one who thought the whole clip that I watched felt like it was 3 seconds, this RUclips channel deserves an Oscar, sometimes one can’t wait for the next upload that I had to look daily if notifications are on😂
This was Great! Excellent Work.
I am a Muganda man. The story of Kintu and Nambi is an attempt to explain the origin of man. The moral is that God, who is referred to as "Gulu" is the creator of man.
Another lesson is that God created everything, from earthquakes, to death, and someday, death will be overcame, and man will die no more.
Correction: Walumbe is not a deity neither is Kayikuzi, and they are not worshipped as deities
Someone tell me the name of the animation tool used. Its great
Walumbe is worshiped as a god dear get ur facts right
@@abubakrsseruggosajja5349 I have never heard of this, because I am not into these ways of worship.
Send me more information if you don't mind.
@@mulongokato364 have u ever heard of TANDA ?
@@abubakrsseruggosajja5349 Yes of course. But what I am not aware of is the fact that Walumbe is called for help, he is prayed to, given offerings, and worshiped by people.
Are the drum beats at every opening a real song or something you can give everyone or we can get somewhere... It is bangin" and gets my heart racing every time!
Watching your videos makes me realise just how little I was taught about African history in school and it’s shameful. Thank you so much for providing education on the people groups, history and mythologies of Africa.
that was so interesting i'm about to binge watch all your videos for sure
JOYCE
I like the way you think .👍🏿 Great idea.

I am starting to learn about Africa. I have always been curious about it's culture, history and mythology. 😃 Now I'm learning.
This is from my country, Uganda. Love the short stories!
Keep up the good work.I hope you do more African mythologies.

I come from Gulu there on top of buganda
Wow 🤩 this means I have been a god my entire life

Yeah... About that... You are not really a god. I'm sorry.
Thank you for remembering us

Great narration and illustrations. Loved the story
Thanks for the great story i really enjoyed it ❤❤
It's so great to hear other cultures/tribes mythology. Mine, as I am a Zulu from South Africa, we the tokoloshe.
Excellent, plus the anime, the kids can now watch easy
This is my favourite channel just giving me history they dont teach
This channel is great!
Thanks for the bedtime story. Woke up feeling good
well done Hometeam
Please keep these animations videos up i loved these videos
Yet another Excellent video !!! I love these Videos.
I love this!! Keep up the good work
This was great! Good work on this.
This is dope. Now we see similarities on where Christianity got a lot of its stories from.
Miss Life Lessons most definitely
I don't even see a parallel. Where? How?
The7thage the god telling the humans not to do something yet the woman does it anyway? And to forbid him brings death? Doesn’t that sound similar to Adam and Eve? God forbid them to not eat the fruit but Eve convince Adam to eat it anyway? Now that they ate it humans have been punished
Miss Life Lessons thank you lol
@@cortion730 to be fair, death was more of a warning in both stories. And yeah that would be a parallel, but the characters are so different. The woman in this story was a goddess. Death is personified. There is no devil. The whole fight wasn't part of the biblical narrative. This is more of a drama to explain why death is in the world, whereas the biblical narrative is just the beginning of a story. There are so many more differences than similarities.
Great work,keep it coming 💚
I just realised something.
Spirited away use the part about picking his own cow out from among other's.
Only chiherro was asked to pick her mum and dad out from among pigs. I love it when other cultures use different mythology in their shows, movies and games.
Much Gratitude.
This would make a great documentary
Great Video. Thank you
Fascinating how many cultures picture the gods living in the sky and the afterlife deep inside the earth
Wow, home team, I loved it so much I watched it again with my 9 year old son.
I love this. I want to learn or peoples mythologies like I learned Greek mythology
It's interesting how this story is similar to the fight between Horus and Seth in Egyptian mythology
I love it ❤️ . I love the animation! How can I make your video Animation please ? Any app you prefer?
Nice! So cool to know!
Good one liked it
I don't even know how I found this channel but I'm Thankful I did. The animation video and the short story is awesome.
Lot’s of ❤️ From Land of Queen of Sheba #Tigray
This was practically my class 1,2,3 social studies.
One point missed. Is whenever there is earthquake , walumbe would be trying to escape from the underground to come back on land. But he never succeeds. .we got slot of earthquakes from the western rift valleys of lake Albert and George and that's where I grew up. And always knew earthquake was walumbe stricken to the underworld trying to come out and I would always sing earth be strong, don't let him out. Loll.
Excellent work. 💖
Love this
Awesome great work matondo Salaamah.
Thank u so much I am definitely going to choose this myth for my homework for real is the best explained and understandable thank u 😊
Love this!!
This was dope! I hope to see more
Great story, although its hard to believe.
So good.
I need the real spelling of the name of the characters for my activity please
I'm from Uganda and we were taught these stories in primary school, so accurate.
Well done fam... well done!
This is intense. Really cool
I have honestly never heard that one, thanks.
Love the page!!! Represent Bro 👁
Can you make more content like this
Can you do a video about the Idoma people pls?
could you do a video about Algeria's history, myths . beliefs & practices . and achievements ?
😍 I love these animations! ❤️🖤💚
Beautiful story would like to see more
This is really interesting, what African country/region is this story from?
I'm a muganda, and that information you gave was awesome and correct. Just one thing, Nambi's brother's name was Kayiikuzi not Kakuzi. Thanks
Much appreciated. Will be sending to my children. What I’d love to find one day is the story behind Papa Gede and why is it said he was the first man to die.
African mythology isn’t really talked about so that’s pretty dope u covered these 👍
Cool short folktale.
You do an awesome job
You slightly changed the original story and shortened it but I like it still. You doing dope stuff. Do a history video maybe on the real king kintu. That's my son name born 2016
Great mythology
Not 'mythology''; Reality in a nutshell.
nirbija 😂
If you haven't already maybe you can speak on the West African God Anansi in regards to everyone talking about Orlando Jones.
Yoruba God. He doesn't exist in all religions/beliefs in West Africa.
@@TheeCocoaJoJo yes, im aware of that.
The chanting at the beginning is always so loud while you're voice is so quiet. It's really jarring when I have my headphones on. Can you turn up your the volume on your voice or at least turn down the chanting so it doesn't blare in my ears, please?
Ase bro
Love the Locks on them!👑👏💚
Great animation and story.
This isn't African, rather Ugandan mythology. You'll find different stories around the continent. Lets stop reducing this massive continent into a single country!
