I really can't tell you how much I appreciate your content, here and on tiktok (where I first "found you"). To many "trainers" on social media give you this was before and look at them now, which serves no purpose besides self promotion. Again, thanks for giving us useful content, there are so many of us that are truly in need. If you ever want to get out of the summers heat and come to beautiful Vermont, let me know. Peace ✌
Can you make a video showing us how to teach our dog to release or let go of a favored item (ball, toy, etc)? Your videos are wonderful and always helpful. Thank you for sharing!
Aaaawww! She looks like a gorgeous girl. I also have a German Shepherd (who incidentally was exactly the same, and who incidentally became my partner going every where I go, dogs, people, everything. It just takes time and help from trainers like you.)
i need to just move to AZ... lol. ZOOM call ain't gonna be the same as in-person. i have a 2yr old GSD pup. got him right before C19 and lockdowns :( now like you mentioned, I don't bring him out into the public. i even have to leave him outside when I have guests over because he tried to go after my niece. i really do need help with him.
My dog is 1 years old and he’s a small Maltese. He barks, growls, and lunges at everyone and every dog he sees pass by. Yesterday a dog came over and he was calm but when he would go up to sniff him, he would randomly throw himself at it. He barks at dogs that are even across the street. We got him during the pandemic so he got no socialization and i don’t know what to do.
Gosh, we're starting to work with our 2 year male old German shepherd. He is eager to learn but I need to just work on his overly protective behavior in our yard. He scares the hell out of everyone and anything that goes by.
That panting is exactly what my dog does. She's always so on edge and tense, panting.i feel bad for her but it's not right for her to be that way..I am working on it though. Thanks for the help
Im so scared to take her to a dog park and meet other owners cuz training is a process, an accident is bound to happen but i cant avoid it by not socializing her with other dogs... anyways thanks for the video! Cant wait to see the rest
So...May I ask what I should do when I’m trying to get an excited small 6lb puppy to work on walking without throwing herself? Whenever I go back to walking forward with her after I do my backtracking to remind her to stay with me, she bolts past me and ends up throwing herself into the air.
does not look agressive. looks reactive. but yeah. even dog owners that have had a dog for many years still don't know the difference between reactivity and agression.
slip leads - A thick rope that tightens around the dog's neck - can cause damage to a dog's trachea and larynx. The definition of cruelty is “behaviour which causes physical or mental harm to another" Dogs who are prone to lunging suddenly can cause serious damage to their trachea, lymph nodes and spine. In some rare cases, it can crush their windpipe which could be fatal. To a dog who regularly pulls and lunges it can really cause problems to the point, they may want to avoid walking at all out of fear.
Kevin, nice to see you again :) take your time going thru all my videos... while you’re on the side lines rambling off “studies” I’m going to keep using the tools properly and getting outstanding results. Thanks for posting zero content on your channel that helps people better communicate with their animals.
Any tips on how to get the dog to walk that close to me! My pup neo during leash training doesn’t stand that close maybe like a foot away. Every time I get closer he backs up!!

I am on awe of you...so much respect 🙏
Thank you so much for your content. I look forward to improving my relationship w my dog after he’d pulled me to the ground the other day on a walk
What age is appropriate to start using the prong collar?

My dog always shakes her prong collar lower everytime we put it up to that high point. How do I change that?
Hey! I had the same issue. Try a wider flat collar underneath the prong collar. I use a 2 inch one and it works great at keeping the prong up high!
Good stuff, good channel. Subbed.
That's my dog, Coco! She's a 6 or 7 year old rescue from TJ. I'm adding this to our training asap.
Fantastic content. My cane puppy and my family thank you!
