Is this a good idea for an old dog who has anxiety issues and having sight issues? I'm worried such big changes will trigger depression and he will give up on life. But he is just attacking the others constantly at the moment - he is on pain meds for spondolosis but whenever he's in pain he seems to decide he has to fight the others. Question...as you can see below, I am a subscriber. We are making progress, but the problem of aggression happens in 2-3 main places. 1) bed- so we have removed this for all dogs. 2) feeding-all are fed in cages now, 3) door- the problem really manifested itself one day when both dogs exited door on walk and bully dog went after cockapoo...and I mean really went after him. So, I looked through your videos and couldn't find one exactly on this problem. If I get them to be able to be close again...and keep the bully on a muzzle while going through this...what is the best way to work them exiting door for walk (this is where I got into a problem..and I know they are excited about walk)..so I can avoid the problem, because in past, once I got them walking..one on left and one and right and very structured, it wasn't a problem...just getting out door. Thanks so much for your channel. this one of my dogs attacks for no reason is the best one on the internet...period. By the way, I have three dogs...two cockapoos and a rescue Bully.
Great video! How do we go about reintroducing the dogs? They used to get along but one of the dogs started getting protective over me and began the fight with the other dog.
It's because you have weak energy. I have a huge pack of dogs, if a fight breaks out I walk outside and it stops the moment they hear that door Crack. Because they know I don't tolerate it.
My three big dogs started attacking my little after I picked my little dog. I had to watch my dogs try to kill my other dog while trying to break them up by being over my little dog. My little dog is ok now, but he won’t let me pick him up anymore and he also has a limp.
@kocogarcia I'm confused on which dog I'm supposed to stop from keeping close to me. I have two Huskies and we literally saved a German Shepherd. He was roaming in traffic on a major roadway. We brought him home and we thought it would either be until we found the owner or until we found a shelter. We kept him seperate at first from my Huskies. Eventually I took all three on a walk and it went pretty good but it was a work out. The shepherd is a great dog but it seems as he has gotten more comfortable he's becoming more alpha. He fights with one of my Huskies more than the other and the fights seem to be getting more fierce. We went through everything to find the owner and we did we also found they were abandoned or dumped and when I say they we found out his mother was also dumped. The mother has a new and seems to be doing well. I would hate to take him to a shelter it's been 3 months and there's been no real progress although I'm beginning to realize we haven't been doing things right. My one Husky is taking the brunt and he has the wounds to prove it I'm at my wits end me and my wife are attached but my sons have had enough. The Shepherd is a great dog they don't fight over food or treats but just a look can set either of them off. Like I said I would hate to give up on him but my Huskies safety have to come first. I'm going to try some of the methods in your video. He dose have aggression towards others but he got out of my yard and when my neighbor approached him he laid at my door a licked her hand and when she felt safe brought him to my side door a knocked so I know he's not a bad dog. If you can't tell I have love for this dog. I don't think he deserved what was done to him. I don't blame the owners because things happen but he wasn't going back there for whatever reason they didn't want the responsibility any longer. Any advice would be extremely appreciated!
I recently took in an adult female chihuahua who was abandoned after she had pups she is so horrible about walking on a leash. The minute she sees the leash she get stressed and cries and pants. When I clip it on her collar she throws a tantrum and has chewed through leashes she even hates the harness.
Lmv.4 94 pretty normal behavior. The dogs past doesn’t matter at all. Let it go, she will let it go. Help her move forward and build confidence. It’s not ok to let her live in fear and anxiety, the sky isn’t falling, she will never go back to her old life. Let her throw a fit and work her thru it. Watch this- ruclips.net/video/cNrbLa7AXuc/видео.html
Hi Mrs. Garcia. My mom bought two miniature dachshunds about a year and a half ago. They always were fine, but as they matured they struggled with deciding who was dominant. They started fighting, drawing lots of blood. and at first we could pull them apart but it got so bad we have had to keep them separate. We have had them separated for several months and we switch them out every few hours. I feel like maybe this video could help but it is not made for extreme cases like ours. I get frustrated and yell at my parents to send them off into training because we don’t know what to do but they haven’t. My mother has talked to a trainer who said that they will never get along and that’s what all her research has said too. One of the dachshunds has some problems with anxiety and he barks at any little noise o have no idea what to do there is so much more. It is hard to take control and get my parents to listen to me and take responsibility and try more things. I would do it myself but they do not see me as their master and whenever she moves they run to her . What should I do? We should never have got them as ignorant as we have been and should have known what to do but now I fear it’s too late
I want to implement these things. But one of our dogs is a lap dog. A 9 yr old dachshund. And he's usually up on one of us when we watch a movie or something. And lately our 1 year old german shepherd has been attacking him. She grew up with him. And she will randomly just attack him
I have a question. My dogs like to play fight alot, but do we need to cut back on that also? They don't feel threatened by each other, but sometimes they'll lay down and one will lay down next to the other and that starts their play fight. Should that be stopped?
Love your videos. They’ve been giving me hope! I just purchased 2 prong collars & 2 new kennels. My 2 girls have been in a few fights.... once my younger girl got pregnant, it’s never been the same. They’ve been separated for about a year. A few fights in between. I know I can reunite my girls... not sure what the trigger is between them, but they’re both dominant. I have watched all your videos & I know exactly what to start with. Structure! Any advice to help me out?
LDawg. Make sure you use Herm Sprenger Prong collars! The brand and fitting are imperative. Moving forward don’t expect them to ever be friends again- go into it with the mentality, “you don’t have to like eachother, but you will tolerate eachother as long as I pay the bills”. The trigger is most likely that they don’t believe you are the alpha of the pack, and they are still going to battle it out for that role. Or they are resource guarding you? If that’s the case dial back your affection and attention. Stay incredibly structured and confident in your walks. You can do this, and they will get there, it just takes a little time
Koco Garcia Okay sounds good! So building the structure around the home, making sure I’m confident with their walks. When would be the time to introduce them again? My Mama girl always seems to be the one that starts the growling/evil eye at her sister. So we have gates set up to separate them. Mama needs a little work, can’t wait for their collars!!
What happened with your dogs? I have 2 dogs male and female and my female just had puppies few days ago and she is so aggressive with my other dog she even over the glass door.
I just wanna start off by saying you are amazing! I've been watching your videos and they are so knowledgeable. I was wondering if you knew detailed like this how to not have your dog so obsessed with their ball or toy. She always has it in her mouth begging to play 24/7. If I take it away after we play she DOES NOT leave the ball where I hide it. (She always finds it)
Hello! I also rescue and rehabilitate dogs. Can you please do a video on your daily life with so many dogs? Feeding time, exercise, ect. I usually have 4+ dogs and sometimes feel overwhelmed with giving everyone what they need to thrive. How do you juggle everything? Thanks!
one day my sisters dog just attacked my dog and now they won’t get along. i figured it was because my dog is maturing and he’s becoming more dominant and her dog is so extremely insecure about being dominant he can be the only alpha male dog in the house and now my dog is traumatized and has set back his service dog training it’s broken my heart
Well we have most the stuff down I think...they already eat and sleep in their crates. However they still get in the couch with us during their rotation. Rotate them in and out every hour for the last 3 years. One dog walks better than the other. Have work to do there. One is very good motivated and likes to counter surf, bite her leash and pull. Haven’t mastered the place command. We have muzzles for each but they always try and take them off. I want a different life for them.
Hi. One issue I’m having, well it’s not really an issue, but It’s more of it bothers me. I work night shift. I crate my dogs when I go to work, I get off around 6 am, and I just feel bad leaving them in the crate after I get off work and to go to bed. That would put them in the crate around about 16 hrs. Any suggestions?
Koco Garcia well normally I keep them out of their crate when I get home and sleep and they sleep in my bedroom with me. Would keeping them on place in my bedroom be better? Ima till trying to build that structure for them.
Sounds like you’ve got yourself on a pretty good system. As long as they aren’t fighting or chewing things up when you are home sleeping, you should be ok.
What if my dogs already have the right kind of structure? I have 5 total after my recent wedding brought two more. My wife's little one and my big one randomly fight and the little one ends up with her head in some jaws. I'm the only one that can break it up without getting hurt, and I know it's more because my dog knows she'll be in huge trouble if she doesn't stop for me. There doesn't seem to be a trigger. It often happens when my son is getting them ready for a walk
Does the dog that isn't the aggressor need to be crated, restricted, etc? Or just the aggressor? I have 2 dogs who used to get along really well, but last night they got into a dog fight while I was at work and they were badly injured
My husband and I adopted a dog and he is blind he did really well with other dogs and we used to take him to dog parks a lot but now he can be fine for minutes or hours and when dogs get to close to him he gets mad and this started to happen when he almost got attacked by another dog but we don’t know if that what triggered it we also have another dog and he does fine with him even if he gets really close
We had a deaf dog that was aggressive. I think its just they feel weakened by the disability so they over compensate with their defence if that makes sense? Especially if he felt threatened by the near attack, he cant see a dogs demeanor and he couldn't see what the dog looked like that threatened him so now he assumes any dog could be the one who attacked him. Shadow our deaf healer had to be kept separate from all other dogs. He had his own fenced in area, all our outside dogs have houses with heaters (brood lamps for winter and fans for summer) We live in a farming community and used to breed and train healers for heard dogs. Well my mum did. When I was younger I helped. They dont anymore through. Shadow was our last healer. No one could go in the fence with him. Only my mum. She had him hand signal trained. I really feel its just a defence mechanism for some disadvantaged animals.
We had a deaf healer. My mum was the only one who could handle him and he was trained with hand signals. She was never able to train out his aggression. He had to be kept separate from all our other dogs. But that was our situation. These are the exact things my mum did with shadow. I think they over compensate when they have disabilities. Koko is giving sound advice on what to do. I would definitely implement everything she suggests in this video.
My Siberian husky Atlas is such a great dog. The perfect dog even. I thought he needed a friend so I got him a friend. Named him aero but Atlas hates him. Tries to attack him. Atlas seems to be jealous of him. He doesn’t like when we give aero any sort of attention. We have a crate for aero that we leave open for him and we put a blanket over it. He knows that he is safe in there because Atlas hates crates so he won’t even step foot in it. Atlas chases aero into corners until he submits to him. Atlas isn’t fixed but aero is. I feel so bad for the puppy. I feel lost.
We recently rescued our new dog he’s 7 months and they seemed fine first 2 days and now all they do is want to show who’s Alpha no one backs down. We plan to neuter him but will that solve it? (If anyones wondering older dog is 2 years old and a husky, and the younger one we just rescued is a husky mix Carolina) plz any suggestions my husky was very well trained obeys commands and acts well with other dogs I don’t know why this is now a issue, we did separate them but no progress seems to be made.
My seven month old pup is husky mixed other breeds she’s a mut she got a king with my small dog just fine up until yesterday, my small dog is very shy to her self doesn’t often and my seven month old bit her on the neck and she tried it again today my seven month old rest her head on her and place her leg on her, and I’ve never seen her do that and act like that before, she’s crate trained and understands that she’s not dominant but I don’t know what’s wrong
Ok my dog attacks the other dog but only one is time to go to bed she bites him on the tail but only it's time for him to go to bed what is the problem
What if i dont let my dog have any kind of that freedom in my house i let them in the front yard since they were little but recently the male snaps at female for no reason and they dont listen to my voice or when i yell unless i rise my hand and hit their butt🙄 i dont understand... pleas help cuz im willing to correct their behaviour😖
I have two female huskies who use to love each other. One is a rescue and one I have had for 3 year they were fine for one year then idk what happened I came home and they were fighting my 3 year old husky was bit and badly injured so I have had them separated for 7 months now one inside the house one outside. Got a new husky male. And he is fine with both the problem is the females. Both are spayed. ☹️ I’m okay keeping them separated but I miss the friendship they had.
This is really, really good. I have four powerful rescue dogs. I'm 60 years old, and disabled house is miserable. I can't stop my dog from fighting. I keep them separate, and that's hard, but when mistakes occurs it is the worst. I'm at my Wit's End, and my only option now is to have at least two of them put down. I would have liked to have known this sooner. 😢
Dog 1 started to bite dog 2 and made him bleed out. Idk what's wrong with dog 1, poor dog 2 is now no where to be found, and dog 1 is now licking every dog in my House
@kocogarcia #kocogarcia that's what I've had to do with 3 of the rescue dogs I have and I feel horrible for leaving them in the crate especially since 2 of them I rescued from being locked in a small cage in a closet with no food or water light or even fan or a/c and it was in the middle of summer. They were left in there for days weeks on end never once even being let out and the few times they were they were abused and kicked and yelled at. So I rescued them. One being a puppy pit bull and sharpei mix only 3 months old or so and the other I'm guessing about 2-3 yrs old is German shepherd and husky or lab mix🤔🧐?? He's all white and is small cu he was in to small of a cage to grow properly. I named him white fang. The other I named Gremlin. They both terrible with jealousy and food aggression. I've managed to fix a majority of it but they have killed my friends old dog for no reason and it was because Gremlin is a little bitch went after bandit for no reason. I was trying to break them up and when I did bandit stumbled away and white fang. Grabbed ahold of him and shook him and he died. He was a small dog. The reason being is cuz white fang and gremlin formed a pack so white fang thought he needed to finish bandit even though he did nothing wrong. That was right before Christmas. Not a fun time😭. I love them all and especially miss bandit😭. However my beagle (sheye) who was also abused for the first couple months is equally growling and trying to fight with Gremlin. They have fought before when they were in their first heat. Come to find out Gremlin is in her second. But they still won't get along. Gremlin won't go in her cage unless we have real good treats and she's an escape artist. We have like 10 magnets to keep her in there. I hate having to do it. White fang however will go right in. But they also will eat all the food in their bowls no matter how many times we fill it so I now am going to limit their food to a little at a time instead of filling up the bowls each time. Gremlin is not that bad but white fang is horrible. Then I have bolt a little min pin possible chiwowa (sp) who won't stop growling at the big dogs and piles and poops all over even after being outdoors for hours. And then I have Bleu who I got as a puppy on mother's day last yr and he was never abused. Well I just found out my so called friends has been kicking him for correcting bolt when he growls and now I noticed aggression in him and i need help as he is the last I thought I would have issues with. He is a mountain curr, blue healer husky timber wolf mix. I don't know what to do. Shelters aren't an option. I don't want them dead. I just want them to get along. And how do I retrain them on the leash.they all walk and pull in front of me. I used to have them trained till my friend started walking them and letting them walk him and now it's hard for me to handle... Any suggestions???
Yeah this is good training if u are a control freak and want your dog to be a robot who "obeys" the almighty human's every command..it is all in favor of humans to make their life easier at the dog's expense..I could go on and on
@@RescueDogTraining I wasnt trying to be funny, but I disagree..maybe SOME difficult dogs need this strict training, but most dogs dont..they have such a short life, let em live a little
@@livia5158 I wasn’t laughing with you :) you are absolutely correct- some dogs do need really black and white structure, boundaries and feedback. My content is for people that are struggling with aggressive or reactive dogs, not for people like you.

Thanks so much for your channel. this one of my dogs attacks for no reason is the best one on the internet...period. By the way, I have three dogs...two cockapoos and a rescue Bully.
What if it’s only the new dog who is the problem? Do I have to do all this with my original dog or just with the new dog?
Great video! How do we go about reintroducing the dogs? They used to get along but one of the dogs started getting protective over me and began the fight with the other dog.
It's because you have weak energy. I have a huge pack of dogs, if a fight breaks out I walk outside and it stops the moment they hear that door Crack. Because they know I don't tolerate it.
@@6foot8jesuspilledpureblood82 But how do you go about getting the right energy?
My three big dogs started attacking my little after I picked my little dog. I had to watch my dogs try to kill my other dog while trying to break them up by being over my little dog. My little dog is ok now, but he won’t let me pick him up anymore and he also has a limp.
Update?
One trainer said forget the dogs past. The dog is living in the now so hound you.
Are the dogs left in the kennels when you were to go to work?
Thank you for this, very helpful
How do i stop my dog from marking? She continually tries to mark on her walk. Should I just be pulling her and not letting her mark?
I dont have the room for 2 crates what should I do.
Hi Mrs.
Did you get it sorted out?
Thanks!
Amazing video. 🙏
I need this soo bad right now
one day my sisters dog just attacked my dog and now they won’t get along. i figured it was because my dog is maturing and he’s becoming more dominant and her dog is so extremely insecure about being dominant he can be the only alpha male dog in the house and now my dog is traumatized and has set back his service dog training it’s broken my heart
I have check marked all those squares, but my dogs can’t even look at each other because they will lose their $#i1. I guess I need bigger help
I would feel bad too, 16 hours is a very long time for a dog to be crated. I would hire someone to walk my dogs, to break up the crating time.
I have 2 dogs who used to get along really well, but last night they got into a dog fight while I was at work and they were badly injured
jennifer perez implement structure with everyone to keep the boundaries and rules black and white- it will make life for you and the dogs much easier
Question! I have a deaf dog and just within the last year he randomly attacks our other dog and I can’t bring him in public!! Helppppp
nichole did you watch this video??
Thank you 🙏🏼!
My dog will never sit in a cage alone or be alone bc of separation anxiety and this would NEVEER WORK
What if i dont let my dog have any kind of that freedom in my house i let them in the front yard since they were little but recently the male snaps at female for no reason and they dont listen to my voice or when i yell unless i rise my hand and hit their butt🙄 i dont understand... pleas help cuz im willing to correct their behaviour😖
Trippydollface what parts of the training from this video have you implemented??
Koco Garcia I bought two crates and have been working in crate training so far they eat and sleep in there crates.

I’m happy I found this video so my female is in heat and she keeps attacking my male dog and it getting bad
Same, were you able to fix it?
@@thegreatestyoutubeuser they are still separate til she keeps her surgery but she sits at the baby gates and cry for him but he won’t go near her
my dog goes for any dog when I take him for a walk--
This is really, really good.
My dog refuses to go in the crate and if you get her in she loses it.
I should say she is an adoptive dog.
Awesome video as always! Structure is everything!
My male alaskan husky always attack any dog if he is a male.
My dog have been bite is so hard i am😭😭
My dogs are keep fighting the mother keeps attacking her daughter
My dog bite my other dog’s ear
Yeah this is good training if u are a control freak and want your dog to be a robot who "obeys" the almighty human's every command..it is all in favor of humans to make their life easier at the dog's expense..I could go on and on

It’s ok to be afraid of dogs. A lot of people are. Very brave of you to share your insecurities publicly.
I was with you right up until you mentioned a prong collar.
I agree it sucks and is not optimal. But I'm at the point of which is worse -- prong collar or ripping each other to shreds?
What if it’s only the new dog who is the problem? Do I have to do all this with my original dog or just with the new dog?
