Evening James from a wet and windy Exmouth 😄 I’ve brought my wife down for our 14 year anniversary to see Show of hands 🙌 Steve Knighley plays a mean guitar 🎸 like you 😀 The advent calendar us a really good idea 👍🏻
Hi James, floor is coming along great, just a suggestion for the 2 holes in the bathroom floor, could you not make it one square hole and just use one piece of perspex so you will be able to see both sides of the bulkhead with a light on either side. Until the next advent door opens
I was wondering why not one hatch as well. Aesthetically, functionally, ease of laying floor would seem to make sense. Maybe a flush ring/handle to lift it up with?
Two exs. You are special. Hope your children are doing well. I have been single for 20 yrs after 20+ yrs of marriage and only one x. My two boys are doing great. Love your videos and the positive vibe. Great job on the boat. Hope the girls feel the same way as you. I am sure they will…
Love the Advent calendar jobs. You really could do with an 240v inverter so that you can charge up powertool batteries etc .... or maybe a portable generator would be more versatile .... could also be used to boost your boat batteries
Captain Jamer cracks on and so the advent diaries are unfolding as they should. All is well. Meant to write a couple of editions back that …for some reason… I thoroughly enjoyed the sound of the rain beating down on the roof of Sloe Patrol as you placing tiles. Soothing for some reason. Where I live …at this time of the year…snowflakes do not such a sound make. Again…all the best Captain 👩✈️ Cheers 🥂
Because then the removable bit will have seams on it. I’ll keep the pattern going using just one piece. Also, it’s not easy to get a really nice cut in situ like that
@@TheNarrowboatThatJamesBuilt how long (if it says or you've heard) do those tiles look good for? I just think without a plan knowing where all the screws are in the ply plus being on a boat with the moisture & mud & kids I just can't see them lasting that long :( I hope I'm wrong good luck Mr P
For the wooden "hatch" you could put a few steel screws into the top before you apply the vinyl. Then you can just use a magnet to lift it up.
Now that IS a neat idea !! Too bad I saw this too late
........two holes in the lavatory
😂
😂 (and now I’ve got that song stuck in my head!)
Young James, The Human Powered Jigsaw. Top Sawing Young James :-)
On the 3rd day of December James showed to me .........
looking good James, you could use a "plunger" to lift up the insert in front of the toilet when the tile is done.
Good video on the cut

I'm enjoying your Advent calendar jobs, James--
Mate, you have to sort out that leaky shower waste. Do it nice, or do it twice, as the old saying goes.
All the best.
Hi James , it’s coming along nice you’ll have to put a generator on your Christmas list , all the best 👍
Thanks James. Take care.
Those Japanese hand-saws are the best. I've abandoned pretty much every other hand-saw I have in favor of them. :-)
Looks good my man.
The little things add up.
Enjoy a curry night with Rob, flooring is looking good which I’m sure your children will congratulate you for All your hard work paying off 🤗

Why didn’t you leave the wooden cover in place and just put the tile on and cut down the groove in the wood
Exactly what I was thinking

Is it possible to fix the drip?
Did you do the intro 25 times in one go...? 🤔😉
Use masking tape And a pencil make your marks then remove the masking tape later
How many times have you been married James .
Lost count…….less than Henry VIII or Elizabeth Taylor for that matter
