The 11' 8" bridge gets jacked up to 12' 4" and now Ashland Train Day! An embarrassment of riches!

I thought they only allowed cars on the tracks there; it was nice to see some trains this time.
It's amazing seeing so many people that enjoy watching these steel Titans rumble along
What a great festival for a community to sponsor, and a big thanks to the train crews who’s nerves were on edge bringing trains so close to so many people!
They need to do this in EVERY town with a Railroad! That would be crazy, but yes it would be fun!
Sounds like the engineers were enjoying the celebration as well, horns blaring throughout town and no complaints😀 just love that little town and that great hobby shop. Thanks for sharing that day.
The quiet zone rule is lifted when they have events next to the tracks. Good time to come out and capture scenes with horn action in an area that doesn't normally have them.
I was there for most of a day filming trains and the town and got caught on the Virtual Railfan video cameras, my wife thought that was good proof of where I had been all day, of course she knew I'd be near trains😀
That was great to see and be able to put some faces to names.
wow how wonderful there's a train day like that...….we don't do good special things like that here that I know of
FIRST train I've seen from the Ashland camera! Watched it many multiple times and always missed out on the trains.... : )
Perhaps you need to watch longer times. I like stay tuned in and usually get to see quite a few, especially during the morning and afternoon. CSX and AMTRAK have multiple trains going through on weekdays and sometimes on weekends. Enjoy!
