I also like how dark it is, fitting tone because of the darkness you've plunged Dunwall into, but also its more assassin focused where as Low Chaos gives you an ultimate challenge by making the level in broad daylight to truly test your stealth skills.
Corvo was cold. Not cold physically, it was almost always cold in Dunwall, he'd gotten used to that, nor was he cold on the inside, seeing the one you love die in your arms and carrying her heart as a dark trinket did that to a man. He was cold deep in the pit of his soul, the place he'd held onto the hope of going back to normal, of Emily as empress, the same cold he felt in the void, the same cold the Outsider spoke with. "Now get off my boat." Corvo was shocked out of his thoughts by Samuel's coarse words. The one man he still trusted in all the world spat out those words with hatred and disgust. "I don't like what you've become, no worse than these traitors... that's why I'm telling them you're coming." Samuel punctuated his speech with a pistol shot into the air. Corvo thought about shooting him as the boat began to speed away, but he thought it was good all the same, they would be afraid... Martin was first, he didn't expect Corvo, not to mention he underestimated him, but the guards and overseers were simply corpses in the making. Martin tried to seem important even as he died. "I'm not going to give you the privilege." Of what, Corvo couldn't guess, Martin must have thought that his death meant something to him. A bolt in the knee and Corvo closed the distance quickly, he drove the folding sword into Martin's chest, but Martin was stronger than most, he tried to keep fighting, it almost surprised Corvo. Almost. His head flew from his shoulders in one clean cut. Pendleton was no better. His guards tried sure, and one even put up an actual fight, but it was too late for Corvo this time. Treavor was already bleeding out when he arrived, Corvo considered putting a bullet in his head and leaving, but a question escaped the dying man's lips "What do you even want Corvo?" This caused a pause in the protector turned assassin, and let Treavor continue "Money? Too bad, I'm broke. Women? We all know you were screwing the empress. If you like noble-" His offer was cut short by the swarm of rats summoned from the void. That had been a sore nerve, and Corvo merely looked once to admire the rat's handiwork, and he was content seeing that bastard die. Up the lighthouse Corvo climbed, facing paltry resistance along the way. He neared the top and spotted blood on the carpet, that was an emotion he hadn't felt in a very long while, fear. It was relieved only slightly when he found a maid's body, and came back as he heard Emily and Havelock yell. "Corvo's going to kill you!" "Pah! Possibly, but he's terrible at saving empresses. He's the worst of us all you know?" "No! He loves me and he's my friend! And I. Am. The empress!" Emily bit down hard on Havelock's hand, Corvo was almost proud as he watched the exchange from the shadows. "A little dignity, please! I think we'll go now, you and me, into the history books together." Corvo moved, just his arms and his will, suddenly he was in Havelock's body, he was used to possession now, and he felt no remorse for Havelock as he felt the man's mental fight to regain control and writhe in terror. Corvo didn't even register Emily speaking, he just saw he leave. Corvo materialized behind Havelock, who teetered on the edge of the lighthouse catwalk, before stumbling back mid-turn, Corvo wanted him to see. He could have ended it with one sword slice, but Corvo felt the Outsider's power still tethering them through the void, and Corvo aided it as he forced Havelock's pistol under his chin and commanded the finger pull. Corvo would remember the face of Havelock for months, the terror was a sweet irony. Emily never forgot it, she'd heard about Corvo killing people, she'd even thought it was cool. Actually seeing it though, the fear in that poor man's eyes...

She is so used to dealing with magical things plus if you weren't hiding upon using the possession she'd obviously see you disappear and then havelock start acting strange. also if you time it right you can make havelock jump off the edge yourself while popping out of him. it is glorious.
Imagine the horror in actually facing this guy. One moment everything stops and you see all your friends being dead floating in air with limbs cut off and as you turn around corvo is right in front of you
I actually love the intro to this mission with high chaos, Samuel is disappointed in you, disgusted by the man you've become. So he alerts the guards that you're coming. Most people kill him for his act of betrayal but its more that You, Corvo, have betrayed your own people, your own land. Or you just REALLY like killing people, like me, and was super confused at why Samuel did this the first time. like WTF dude? i could have killed you SO many times and just taken your boat as my own!

You're such a great man for saving martin from suicide at 4:42! He was going to die, and you were able to keep him from killing himself! The world needs more people like you!
Sam: Ok I'll transport Corvo so he can go around murdering Also Sam: Waaaaaah Corvo you killed people. I don't like you for doing the thing I agreed to help you with.
All of the other transport runs were to eliminate the corrupt actors that had taken power after the Empress' death, and as such qualified under ends justifying the means. This last one to the lighthouse was because the supposed loyalists had turned on each other. There was no longer a good cause for which to ferry around a clearly unhinged mass murderer with supernatural powers, and knowing that he might be next on the chopping block anyways, decides to give Corvo a piece of his mind.
@@hawkesnightmare I suppose. Still, the choice is to leave Emily in the hands of corrupt assholes or take a chance on Corvo. Just seems like a weird time to suddenly grow a conscience. I wish the High Chaos worlds had more "bad stuff" because it usually just seems like it adds rainy weather and some corpses. Where's the hallucinations? Where's the Outsider taunting me as I look over the umpteenth pile of corpses?
All of them, Corvo. They all died because of you. At any time you could have stopped, stepped away, blended into a shadow, blinked a dozen yards away, or just walked on past. But you didn't. The only people your precious Empress will reign over will be corpses, and the only voices you will hear are her mother's sobs and my laughter. That what you're shooting for?
I mean why would he taunt you? He ain;t the bad guy, you are. He just wants to see something interesting (my head canon is that he likes it most when you play lower chaos but still kill some people. So he needs to keep on guessing who will you spare and who will you kill).
probably because the game didnt want to berate you for your playstyle. alos ot would be outta character for him to taunt and nag at you i mean this sounds cool and all but trust me, there are too many people that would get really mad at the game if they did. i mean there is already enough people who whine about high chaos "punishing" the players not realizing that these were basically rewards if anything
i dont get why there would be hallucinations, you aren't going crazy, you're just a horrible person. as for the rest of your comment, the impacts are felt, when you're goijg through the sewers to find the old loyalists' base, if you're low chaos, you will find civilians who made camp, otherwise they will all be weepers. the plague is a lot worse in high chaos. there's a lot more panic in the papers and texts in the background, certain in game npc interactions change to be darker, basically you yourself in the route arent affected, but the world around you js tremendously. also emily becomes more and more blood crazy in the high chaos route.
Emily, upon making her way out of the lighthouse: Corvo...? You... You did this, didn't you. All of this? For me? Corvo: Yeah. Well, you and the music of the Outsider.
Did not know you could have Havelock shoot himself in the face with that wrist stab takedown. Absolutely crazy!! This game keeps surprising me the more and more I watch skilled people play the game!
honestly i find it funny, they never questioned what the funny tattoo on corvos hand was. which makes it funnier when you use powers, that they likely never knew you had, against them.
Martin does actually have a voice line where he comments on the Outsider's Mark while you're at the Hounds Pit Pub. He says he recognizes the symbols and asks Corvo is he's messing with black magic. Not sure if that means that Martin knows the full significance of the mark and that he would know Corvo has powers until he sees him actually use them.
Something that ive noticed when im replaying Dishonored. I'm playing Low Chaos, and my blade is pristine silver. Clean. Fresh as the day it was made. But High Chaos? His blade is worn-out. Darkened and rusted by the rivers of blood spilled. Looks like it was used to fight an army. And it was. Cool fact I wanted to share on this 2-year old video.
I remember how much I played this on PS3, absolutely focken loved this game and still do! Played to platinum I did! The world, the art style, the story, corvo. Everything! Good vid dude, thx for bringing very fond memories!
Lovely! I enjoyed playing Dishonored 2 with completely no HUD, it's a great experience... but picking up coins from cash registers can be troublesome without crosshairs, lol.
@@mark030a I loved the veriety of kill/knock animations, that's surely more refined than D1's; I can't say I have experienced any irritation with the combat, though.
@@SugoDiGatto The problem is, even with those flashy kill animations (this is literally the only reason I even played D2 in High Chaos) is that yes, it's a refined system that allows for more variety but at the same time you'll almost never live with the chance of doing the one you want because the AI doesn't let you breathe. In Dishonored 1 the only thing that could have kept you from enjoying combat was enemies with Pistols, but that opened a whole 'nother way of approaching combat with them that it only came off as a pet peeve when you did get shot. Here that pet peeve is multiplied by the thousands and you don't have any breathing room in combat, unlike in D1 where you were granted invincibility during a kill animation, here you can get killed mid-kill. It gives a sense of realism, sure, but narrows the combat down to either stealth killing or choosing your fights (which, again, fine...) which ultimately makes it like that one relative in family reunions that you just want to avoid because you'll be fucked in any interaction with them whatsoever. I beat D1 in a multitude of ways and I completed *at least* 10 High Chaos runs for 1 difficulty each (save for Easy as it's...well, piss easy) and enjoyed every single one and even more so loved that in Very Hard you had to pay prime attention to Pistol opponents. In D2 Pistols deny combat COMPLETELY as, like I said, you can be harmed mid-kill, so using fatalities, death from above kills and slide kills is just useless.
Felt it back years back and still do but wished that ending credits played drunken whaler when you complete the game in high chaos and honor for all for low chaos. One last way the game reacts to how you played but either way still love the games to this day as easily in my top 3 favourite game series
I love how this game doesn't hold your arm, cause in other games if you make a bad decesion and fall, it helps you up, but in Dishonored... If you fall on the ground, it will judge you for falling, than if you hurt yourself in the falling, it will kick you multiple times, to learn that the decesion you made, came with consequences. That's why I love Dishonored, that it shows you, that you need to think before doing something and, of yourse you can run in and shoot everyone you see, but there will be consequences for your actions, which mean more weeper, more guard, and a darker outcome in the end.
damn I haven't played high chaos in a while, i forgot how brutal some of those assassinations can be. Also 11:50 Corvo to Havelock: Why are you shooting yourself? Why are you shooting yourself?
I prefer this type of content over perfectly planned out min/maxed speed runs, this feels more like someone actually playing through the mission and reacting to things as they happen
I'm not sure if anything in a game will hit me like when I realized that my bloody rampage was the BAD ending, and that I had driven Samuel to betray me
This is the greatest fucking thing I have ever seen I have thousands of hours in dishonored and I have thought I have see absolutely everything but holy shit homie wether you are just a amazing editor or that fucking good at the game you are the goat
Am I the only one who put an arrow into Sams chest, causing him to fall backwards out of his boat before he even grabbed his gun? like its hilariously justifiable after the 1st high chaos run, knowing what he says and does after landing, plus, it gives me and Emilly a way back to the main land
My first playthrough started low chaos but ended in high chaos. I became a killing machine. I felt sad when Samuel told me to get off his boat. But it was deserved. My second playthrough was nonlethal never spotted. Except i got spotted on the third mission making me not get the achievement. Great game + the awesome daud dlcs.
The Daud DLC is awesome, I love using doppelganger and the arm crossbow feels so much more like an assassin tool than corvos regular crossbow, the new ennemies like the butchers are so unique that it's just one of the best DLC ever. Personally part 2's mission we're kinda underwhelming as I had already played dishonored 2 before Daud DLC but I can imagine the hype of encountering those ennemies for the first time.
I love the challenge of the lowest possible chaos. I'll spend hours on one mission, save scrubbing over and over till I get it right to Mt own satisfaction.
This is awesome but man the whole main character becoming violent being no better than the villian trope is getting really annoying lol, like he took those traitors out permanently, they will guaranteed never have a chance to commit crimes again lol
Dishonoured has amazing assassination mechanics, I wish this chaos wasn’t a thing. Maybe the endings could have been decided on the choices you make (for example killing somebody or talking with someone in a different way)
What should be my next video? -More Dishonored Rampages - Top 10 Bloodborne build (including DLC) -A dishonored 1 challenge run (no running,no hud, no kills, no detection, no blink, no runes, no bonecharms, no sleeping darts and probably more restriction (on hardest difficulty))
Even when i did high chaos i kinda just ran in and smoked them all, but seeing this i actually really respect Martin, even as a bad guy for being like "ngl, we were supposed to be the good guys, but i KNOW we are the bad guys now. And i know ill probably die but that doesnt mean i wont defend myself."
I'm not a god at the game so yes there are some cuts here and there and some are obvious they're supposed to just look good ( and also bcs i did cool tricks in one run and another in the other and i wanted to show both )
Something I didn't like about this game was that it gave you all these options to kill but if you did you are a villain. Like bro I'm trying to play a game not have a philosophy debate
It makes killing enemies feel more powerful though doesn't it? Instead of killing monsters or terrorists or whatever like most games, this game has you realize you are really murdering people like you and me. And when you actually flip that switch and start killing, it feels so liberating and intense. I never got that feeling killing enemies in any other game
I came here to find copper, and i found pure gold. Amazing video, gave me chill really. I just finished for the first time Dishonored 3 days ago and CLEARLY i wasn't as strong as you XD (but i was still in high chaos)
I’ve seen a couple videos of this mission with this song in it, always starting when you kill Martin. I tried like 3 times to get the song to play before my dumb ass realised it was just edited in
Damn, i had no idea you could pass those portals under time freeze, expected them to kill you regardless of the visual effects. This game is awesome at shattering what you expect from games in terms of limitations
Dishonored is one of my favorite games ever, I even have the mark of the outsider on my hand. I've played it maybe 10 times on each chaos, and it never occurred to me that I can mind control that son of a bitch. Maybe it was me rejecting the idea of being inside his head.
On my first run i tried a pacifist run. I tried to be good, to be nice because i though "Ok, im innocent but if i start to kill people how the heck i could be better than those bald monsters?" Everything screwed up when they bretayed and touched the child, since then rats are the most human thing alive there.
How is it that when I killed every living thing in the whole city I never got that line of dialogue from samuel he always says "Im disappointed corvo" or smt like that

She is so used to dealing with magical things plus if you weren't hiding upon using the possession she'd obviously see you disappear and then havelock start acting strange. also if you time it right you can make havelock jump off the edge yourself while popping out of him. it is glorious.

That ending was just badass honestly
Imagine the horror in actually facing this guy. One moment everything stops and you see all your friends being dead floating in air with limbs cut off and as you turn around corvo is right in front of you
thought i was the only one who messed around like this replaying this game lol
I decided to replay dishonored 1 and 2 during my free time during summer and made video while doing it but no you're far from the only one
I've loved both Dishonored games for so long and I think it's safe to say for myself that they've become special in my heart.
@@conmanicus809 Personally i like dishonored 1 more
@@thedrunkenwhalers6558 Fair enough, the first is my favorite as well.
Hahaha same bro
I actually love the intro to this mission with high chaos, Samuel is disappointed in you, disgusted by the man you've become. So he alerts the guards that you're coming. Most people kill him for his act of betrayal but its more that You, Corvo, have betrayed your own people, your own land.
Or you just REALLY like killing people, like me, and was super confused at why Samuel did this the first time. like WTF dude? i could have killed you SO many times and just taken your boat as my own!
Samuel be like: *Are you like hurting other people?*
@@nods5137 Its more of that those people doesnt give me any other choice than making me hurt them
@@nods5137 There is also version for moderate chaos if you do both high and low chaos on missions from time to time,he not gonna alert anyone about you coming and would be only little dissapointed saying that you just lost your way
You're such a great man for saving martin from suicide at 4:42! He was going to die, and you were able to keep him from killing himself! The world needs more people like you!
I can half imagine the outsider siding on a void armchair with popcorn watching this and going "i chose one crazy one of a bitch didn't i"
Holy shit when you summoned the rats for Pendleton... Heartless
Sam: Ok I'll transport Corvo so he can go around murdering
Also Sam: Waaaaaah Corvo you killed people.
I mean by this point Corvo has murdered his way through the streets on every mission. You'd think if he cared he would have spoken up sooner.
@@tsarfox3462he was being manipulated and blackmailed by the loyalists too
Huh… that’s actually really cool that you can possess havelock and the devs actually anticipated that, so they added dialog specifically for that approach.

@@thedrunkenwhalers6558 how do you do to the music start playing?it's first time beat the game today i was a high level Corvo in this level and nothing happened🤷♂️
So he needs to keep on guessing who will you spare and who will you kill).
probably because the game didnt want to berate you for your playstyle. alos ot would be outta character for him to taunt and nag at you
i mean this sounds cool and all but trust me, there are too many people that would get really mad at the game if they did. i mean there is already enough people who whine about high chaos "punishing" the players not realizing that these were basically rewards if anything
Outsider's job is not to act as your moral compass. He doesnt care what you do as long as he is entertained. He's kind of like Ryuk from deathnote.
i dont get why there would be hallucinations, you aren't going crazy, you're just a horrible person.
as for the rest of your comment, the impacts are felt, when you're goijg through the sewers to find the old loyalists' base, if you're low chaos, you will find civilians who made camp, otherwise they will all be weepers. the plague is a lot worse in high chaos. there's a lot more panic in the papers and texts in the background, certain in game npc interactions change to be darker, basically you yourself in the route arent affected, but the world around you js tremendously.
also emily becomes more and more blood crazy in the high chaos route.
Emily, upon making her way out of the lighthouse: Corvo...? You... You did this, didn't you. All of this? For me?
Corvo: Yeah. Well, you and the music of the Outsider.
man nothing in a video game ever made me more sad than pissing samuel off. that was my boi
Goated game, “It was perfect. Perfect. Everything, down to the last minute details.”
Did not know you could have Havelock shoot himself in the face with that wrist stab takedown. Absolutely crazy!! This game keeps surprising me the more and more I watch skilled people play the game!
Honestly, I felt this so much. Drunken Whaler kicks in and all that is left are bloody smears of once brave men.
honestly i find it funny, they never questioned what the funny tattoo on corvos hand was. which makes it funnier when you use powers, that they likely never knew you had, against them.
Imagine being Martin, you see Corvo, threaten him confidently, then he fkin disappears and your men drop dead in front of you
I didn't know there were so MANY ENDINGS jesus the game's so good
Lovely!
I enjoyed playing Dishonored 2 with completely no HUD, it's a great experience... but picking up coins from cash registers can be troublesome without crosshairs, lol.
I did that too with no kills no detection and no power on very hard difficulty and it IS really fun
Sadly the combat is a whole 4 parallel universes ahead. Or at least it's trying to come off as clever but is mind-bogglingly irritating.
@@mark030a I loved the veriety of kill/knock animations, that's surely more refined than D1's; I can't say I have experienced any irritation with the combat, though.
V
One reason I’m glad I did a low-chaos play through: I didn’t make Sam angry, he’s rad
That Havelock kill was epic!
absolutely fire the last drunken whaler creeping in n fading out was literally gold sometimes u can really feel almost emotions in games
''That's why i'm gonna tell them you're coming'' for some reason this sounds very badass for me, as if samuel is ringing the death bell
You made me discover things about this game that I didn't even know existed, and I have over 100 hours in this. This will always be my #1 game
as someone who never watched/played high chaos corvo, this video is terrifying. bravo.
11:46
Omg, I have known this game forever, and I did NOT KNOW you could possess him and them make him shoot himself. WOW
Felt it back years back and still do but wished that ending credits played drunken whaler when you complete the game in high chaos and honor for all for low chaos. One last way the game reacts to how you played but either way still love the games to this day as easily in my top 3 favourite game series
Goddamn. I killed them way too quick to hear that dialogue.
That's why I love Dishonored, that it shows you, that you need to think before doing something and, of yourse you can run in and shoot everyone you see, but there will be consequences for your actions, which mean more weeper, more guard, and a darker outcome in the end.
man that editing is really good, love I stumbled across this
The trouble it must have been to get those runes, I could never
damn I haven't played high chaos in a while, i forgot how brutal some of those assassinations can be.
Also 11:50 Corvo to Havelock: Why are you shooting yourself? Why are you shooting yourself?
Still proud of myself for finishing this game without being seen, and with all the good choices made.
Took a lot of save scumming, but I did it.
I always feel bad on a high chaos run with causing death and destruction, but DAMN if it isn't fun.
Samuel didn’t really think that through signaling the guards, he basically sent them to their deaths if the player chooses to.
*my
Can't edit on my phone! Lol
Maybe the endings could have been decided on the choices you make (for example killing somebody or talking with someone in a different way)
If you got the low chaos throughout the game, you can kill everyone in the final level and still get a good ending.
Dishonoured2
the boatman aint surviving after he tries to get me killed
A song that personified death, fear, pain and suffering.
Wise worse from Raul Menendez, “suffer with me.”
Fun fact a lot of people don't know, you can actually kill Samuel before he alerts them... don't ask me how I know. I'm not proud
When The drunken whaler song is played it’s like an activation phrase to just start murking people. 😂
Seeing this makes me remember that my first ever play through of this game I did high chaos I totally forgot about this
What should be my next video?
-More Dishonored Rampages
- Top 10 Bloodborne build (including DLC)
-A dishonored 1 challenge run (no running,no hud, no kills, no detection, no blink, no runes, no bonecharms, no sleeping darts and probably more restriction (on hardest difficulty))
The challenge run, I love to watch people suffer
definitely the challenge run
So... Ghost run with no powers?
Idk maybe not steal ideas from Clocknr
@@rrohbot good I like suffering and it can't be worst than dark souls 1 platinium... right?
Even when i did high chaos i kinda just ran in and smoked them all, but seeing this i actually really respect Martin, even as a bad guy for being like "ngl, we were supposed to be the good guys, but i KNOW we are the bad guys now. And i know ill probably die but that doesnt mean i wont defend myself."
Nothing will ever beat the feeling of running around stabbin folks without breaking stealth
I see some hidden cuts here and there.
I'm not a god at the game so yes there are some cuts here and there and some are obvious they're supposed to just look good ( and also bcs i did cool tricks in one run and another in the other and i wanted to show both )
Hidden? It's a montage...
I really enjoy playing in high chaos because the adrenaline when you slayed every guard to kill your target is awesome.
I didn't know you could kill Havelock with his own gun
Even better the slowmo shock on his face as he finds out you pulled a "why you shooting yourself"
My dear friend, half the in game NPCs are just honest people doing their jobs
man i'd only wish to be this good at dishonoured combat

Rewiring the watch tower on the last mission causes a lot of chaos.
I didn’t even bother killing Samuel. He deserves to live. The guards must fear my approach.
Drunken Sailor: Play pranks on him. 😂
Drunken Whaler: Brutally kill him! 🔥☠️🔥
POV: You used POV correctly (the games first person).
Samuel is one of the few NPCs Ill never kill. A single sleep dart is worth saving that man even if he dies later on in the cutscenes
Relatable
Oh, so this is how high chaos dishonored looks. It's like a completely different game from low chaos!
Yeah low chaos looks like a little rat creeping around choking people endlessly there’s no variation of elimination in low chaos
Dishonored is one of my favorite games ever, I even have the mark of the outsider on my hand. I've played it maybe 10 times on each chaos, and it never occurred to me that I can mind control that son of a bitch. Maybe it was me rejecting the idea of being inside his head.
Easily one of the best games ive ever played. I love this game

On my first run i tried a pacifist run.
I tried to be good, to be nice because i though "Ok, im innocent but if i start to kill people how the heck i could be better than those bald monsters?"
Everything screwed up when they bretayed and touched the child, since then rats are the most human thing alive there.
When the boat driver went to fire the gun in the air, I put a crossbow bolt in his chest before he could. And still stealthed my way up.
I never thought to possess the guy when saving Emily!
Drunken Whaler plays, all hell breaks loose…
11:53 “wait let me check if this is loaded”
“Oh shi-“
Have i truly become the drunken whaler?
I don't know what is more fun, playing the game without killing anyone and ever being detected, or killing everything and everyone
letting sam live. he's a villain, not a monster
How is it that when I killed every living thing in the whole city I never got that line of dialogue from samuel he always says "Im disappointed corvo" or smt like that
