Now imagine if Pointcrow and atsign were crazy enough to make a cross generation map randomizer, where any door could lead to a whole different game, just the thought of even attempting to program such a monstrosity makes me shudder.
I gave him that idea in chat once he said that’s something he’ll think about after he makes a randomizer of every gen

There is a HGSS Map randomizer though
That would require to make some kind of program that lets you run multiple ROMs next to each other. I have the feeling that goes away from mod making and more into the new game making area
@@dylanspek3917 I don't think it could be possible without just remaking all of the games from scratch using their assets to make a completely new game which in comparison to a normal Romhack something like this is a thing GameFreak sees as a big no no.

Hi. Would you consider unlocking all HM at the beginning? Or at least strength and rock smash? It lowers the risk of the map being unsolvable. Thanks!
This is an awesome addition idea
The mod should be made in such a way that that isn't necessary. If it works the same as the earlier versions it can't lock a gym or HM behind the HM it unlocks.
So for example you won't be needing surf to find gym 1 because you can't surf outside of battle yet. And you also won't be needing surf to reach the place where you get the HM surf.
Only randomizer it didn't work fully yet last time I did it was emerald with waterfall you couldn't get waterfall but the last gym or elite 4 might have been locked behind it. But I believe that is fixed already.

Is the mod public?
The mod is public just not for all versions yet. If you look on pointcrows discord you. Can find both the mod and the Trello page with todo's and dones. As in what versions are supported already and what game is next on the agenda. White 2 is still in beta so not publicly available.
Most of the time it becomes public after he made the RUclips vid of it and not just the vod. For example the fire red/leaf green games. He had the stream with it randomized a while ago. He uploaded RUclips video couple days ago and the map randomizer got the option to randomize those games as well.
ATM it's 3rd gen, 4th gen and the fire red/leaf green games I believe. Gen 5 has been done as well but not public and I believe they are working on HGSS currently

Why was every Heatran male? Isn't it a 50/50 chance for it to be male or female?
I think it's because it's the same seed that he was reloading each time, although I can't say for sure, I'm not sure how the encounters work in Gen 5 with genders versus other stats
You should do a randomized warps run where you find heatran and soft reset for a shiny and race some one
