There is a use for the Chill mode, and it's when you're driving in high traffic at low speeds, like during rush hours. It's very easy to press the pedal a little to hard, esp. when you have a P model, and it will jump you into the car in front of you (I know, it has happened to me, luckily I was able to break before impact).
EVlectric, in your Emergency Lane Departure Avoidance test, ELDA worked exactly the way it should: It did nothing. Per Model 3 owner's manual: "Emergency Lane Departure Avoidance attempts to prevent a potential collision with a vehicle in an adjacent lane by steering Model 3 back into your driving lane when traveling between 40 and 90 mph (64 and 145 km/h)." You said in the video, just before doing the test, you checked the mirror (to make sure there were no cars int the adjacent lane), then you let the car drift into the adjacent lane. To the car, it was not an emergency since there was no car in the adjacent lane. To the car, you were making a lane change. What you actually tested was false positive scenario. ELDA did nothing as expected since there was no car in the adjacent lane. If there was a car in the adjacent lane and you let the car drift into the adjacent lane, then the ELDA would have done an avoidance maneuver at certain point to prevent a potential collision.
how do i make sure my tesla is locked and off? it says it turns off when i walk away and turns on as i approach. this is all so new to me! my tesla also isn’t locking or closing the windows automatically when i walk away (car turns off?)

The distance is based on the EPA range and how much battery is left. It doesn't take anything else into account. For an accurate distance, you use the other app with the graph.
I’ve had the SR+ and basic autopilot for 5 months now and keep getting confused after updates. The car will now accelerate way over the ‘identified’ limit on TACC after update 28.6 It will dangerously brake suddenly for nonexistent town speed limits when out in the country . Being country based these are consistent problems to keep in mind.
You guys who do these tutorials all seem to assume that everybody has, or is getting FSD. Many of the features that you point out are not available to those of us who chose not to pay the extra. e.g. Search Autopilot settings all you want; you will not be able to specify the car-lengths between you and the car in front without FSD. (And yet Autopilot will slow the car to match a slower car that you are following.)

My Model 3 LR 2021, delivered just before Christmas, does not have this option on the Autopilot page, certainly not as demonstrated in your vid. I now suspect that the feature has been removed on Australian deliveries, due to local regulation(?) Otherwise, it has been moved to somewhere else in the settings. And yet the car will slow; I just have no control over how far back it settles behind a slower vehicle. There are other inconsistencies too, presumably for the same reason.
Neutral is great going thru a brushless car wash. I listen to pre-recorded albums, (the entire album) not mix tapes from a USB drive. Sometimes the music skips around. I don't want that. Please help. Can you explain the two arrows that look like a oval and the other is like to C's back to back. Thanks for all the info.
I still strongly disagree with Miles VS Percentage. If I have 20km left to get home and I see 35km on my battery, I'll definitely just continue on home. But if instead I see 7% left, I'd definitely get paranoid and charge somewhere potentially expensive, because I don't know how far 7% will actually get me. Yes, over time you might get a feel for how much 1% is, but until then it'll just be super confusing. So I'd rather just have the car do the calculations for me.
I agree. I think it comes more to feeling and knowing about how many miles = x%. Once you get used to it it’s pretty easy but I definitely understand that it’s more confusing at first

A car length is closer to 20 feet, so what you are experiencing is correct.
Lane departure assist is shown as off in your video. Perhaps that’s why it doesn’t assist when you test it. Give Auto a try.
Cruise Follow Distance is in seconds. So 5 is 5 seconds until ego car gets to the position of the car in front.
