There is a way to keep your wifi always on. Unfortunately not doable by yourself but I was able to get Tesla to do that for me over the air and the setting sticks through future updates. My wifi stays on when switched between park and drive/reverse all the time
@@robbiehughes3991 I contacted their support by phone and told them since they've removed my premium connectivity I started using my phone as a hot spot but every time I put my car into reverse it would disconnect which was a huge inconvenience. I just watched a video by teslakiev (they are an unofficial Tesla shop/store in Ukraine) where they discussing how they are able to do that in europe. Support couldn't do it over the phone. I'm not sure they even understood what i was talking about but they escalated me through to "Advanced Tesla Support". Then I got an email saying it was done a few days later. It has been working ever since through many software updates. Though I now barely use that since my premium connectivity package reappeared and is now "included". Go figure....

I like how these companies want you to pony up for all these features which are already present but disabled through software. Smart move from company's perspective, not that good for consumers.
It makes sense from a logistics, efficiency standpoint. Most other vehicle manufacturers will give you a different type of seat that doesn’t have heating capability. This requires new design, new logistics, new manufacturing processes, etc. Tesla simplifies the manufacturing process by minimizing as many variances in parts as possible knowing they’ll lose on some but then they make that money up when people buy features later. It makes them more efficient, modular, and customer driven. I appreciate this lean and modular way of customization.
Great video Rob as usual....I learnt of most of em from your previous videos:). Have a question for you..for some reason I can't view clips on the dashcam viewer. When I got back in2 the car from the gym, i saw that there was a notification. I clicked on it and the viewer popped up but it didnt launch the clip. I then clicked on the d.cam icon, clicked on viewer and same thing. I took out the usb drive plugged it back in and still nothing! Any thoughts on this would be much appreciated!
If you can't view any sentry/teslacam videos, likely your USB drive is bad. Sometimes replugging it as you did fixes it, but if the flash drive corrupts (too many writes), it's dead. Put the thumbdrive in a PC and try to repair/access it. If no good, get a high-endurance SD card and USB reader instead of a thumbdrive. They are designed to handle constant long-term writes, regular flash memory not so. New 2021 cars come w/ a Tesla thumbdrive, but not sure if it is high-endurance or not...

@@cgamiga Thanks brah! I actually had purchased something similar from "puretesla" that comes with an ultra-plus sd card inputted! I just put it in now and see how it performs!
The address sharing is wonky and doesn't work properly for me. It puts the entire address (including city) into the street field in the car, so the car doesn't interpret it properly. Once I get to the car, I have to delete the city, state, zip from the address line, before the car looks up the address properly. Not sure what's up there. Maybe it's the way google maps passes the data, not sure.
Ok, so if I simply tell my car the tires are 20" instead of 18" then I can gain some range. Nice. I remember cartoons as a kid in which a character in a car, to go faster, would break the speedometer cover and push the needle higher.

A little late for a response but yet on the app there is a vent button it rolls all 4 windows down about an inch click it again and they go up

Long press to turn climate on and off is distracting.. it's easier to use the voice command .. or simply touch the temperature number not the fan icon
