I love this guy. There's loads of Tesla channels and some great presenters but Jack is the best in my humble opinion, natural in front of the camera. No, I don't know him but he restores my faith in the younger generation.
I have been watching this channel from the start, and Jack's other channels for years, I have just ordered a Tesla because of this channel and I used the referral link, delivery is estimated for November and I can't wait
Great tips, thanks. BTW on the latest software update tapping the battery % / mileage next to the battery icon will toggle between the two. Much easier than drilling through the menus.
@@Chb1812 But he manages to make it a 10 minute video so props to him (that was a joke, even if the content isn’t as exciting as running over mini muka, the same amount of planning, filming and editing goes into it, so maybe look past the occasional slightly lazy video)
Jack, what if there would be a passanger in the back sitting behind the driver and you enter the car and it starts to put your seat in the easy entry mode, wouldn't it squish the backseat passanger's leg?
I'm not sure I'd agree with that, cos when I tried a Model 3 I was surprised how small the legroom can be in the back, especially when the seat in front is all the way down as it doesn't leave any space underneath for your feet in that position. I assume it would let you set Easy Entry to have the seat all the way down (and back), so I think it's a good question
Easyentry is actually something I had to disable in my Model 3 for this exact reason. If someone was sitting in the back it would close in on their legs and at times make it difficult for them to get out especially if it was a taller person sitting in the back
He did not mention it but there is another unlock able feature not many know about. Under Summon set require continuous press to No. You will be able to activate summon without the app. After putting the car in park and before opening the door double press the button on the drive stalk. A menu will come up asking which direction you want the car to auto park. Useful for garages and tight parking spots
I wasn't realy paying attention and you said "if you set it on current speed autopilot will..." but I thought you said "if you put it on Karen speed" I was like WAIT WHAT???? hahaha
Regarding „Set Speed“: I‘ve set mine to „Current Speed“. Effect: with a short „flick“ of the gear lever the Cruise Control speed will be set to „Current Speed“, whereas holding it down longer sets it to the detected „Speed Limit“. Also true when engaging Autopilot (short/short = AP on, set to „Current Speed“, short/long = AP on, set to „Speed Limit“). Regarding „Speed Limit Warning Offset“: I‘ve set it to 4km/h as this is the margin the speedtraps have here in Switzerland. Effect: K.I.T.T. (my Model 3) warns me, when I‘m over the speedtrap margin (e.g. over 54km/h) and not when I‘m over the signalled speed limit (50 km/h). It also sets Cruise Control/AP to „Speed Limit“ + „Offset“. Might not be recommended for the UK where you have your „average speed“ speedtraps (depending on speedtrap margins).
I learned a couple things. Lol, I don't own a Tesla but I did test drive 2 of them 8 months ago, I knew more than the sales agent. My first comment was "oh you haven't downloaded the current UI upgrade."
It gives you graphs too on how the electricity was used over time, so if you really stomp on the accelerator it Eileen show a spike on the chart. There are 3rd party apps that display a host of stuff regarding battery usage.
@@Chainyanker007 yeah I know all that this is a simple tap and it changes the reading from percentages to kilometres or miles it’s a simple improvement so you can see both as a glance in the car

Hi there. I’ve a question. What’s the ‘allow keyless driving’ option. Mines not checked but I can still use my phone key and open the car by walking up to car. So what’s the ‘allow keyless driving’ option for?
I'm aware that most of them are safety features and can be useful, so i'm only half joking when i say that when you see someone listing all these "features" it really makes it seem like Tesla's are just cars for people who can barely drive and really don't want to actually drive themselves either.
I bought a model 3, picking it up on saturday, but I’m a lil bit anxious as the vehicle is a high value item and thieves are about, does anyone know if it has a tracker built in and is there an access to it through the app!?
Harder for someone to steal your Tesla. It is an option you can turn off or on. There is a valet mode also that does a bunch of things including locking the glove compartment and restricting speed so the valet can’t take it for a joy ride.
Great video as always but I would recommend leaving the setting on percentage as the distance is super unreliable. The most reliable range estimate is under energy option.
