I'm tempted to buy this knife, I'm rocking a zt0850, and have a spare(love the knifw), only thing I wish I could change on the 0850 is steel thickness, the 0762 is thinner. 0850 blade is longer(I still wish it was a 4 inch blade). I love carrying a Shaman, SOCOM Delta, and a Manix2, I'd love another rj martin 4 inch ZT, lighter and less flashy than the 0600(mines a safe queen, lol) I'm always watching ZT, I've sold a 0560 with S110(I think), I'll not sell a ZT in the future, lol. Dmitry Sinkevich 4 inch light weight with large enough handle PLEASE. I've been thinking about a 20cv or S90v Bugout, but I'd rather buy a larger ZT!!
Does anyone know where I could get a replacement deep carry pocket clip that will fit this knife? I love mine except no deep carry clip. Zero Tolerance says they don’t have any replacement for this knife yet.
Not sure how you saw Wharncliffe in this clade with the obvious belly. Looks closer to a Sheepsfoot shaped blade to me. Wharncliffe blades key characteristis is the flat cutting edge and short blade (for leverage for push cuts) and for "close quarters combat" (Michael Janovich)...for "defesive use"...or that's how Warncliffe blades ar "marketed". Not very original imHO. There's alreay a few knives with the same or very similar shape...very Sinkevich/Perian style... The scale.....love it or hate it...I thin ZT is testing the waters maybe wanting to put out "custom looking " knives...I'd put in Tridium viles in the scales in a subtle tatsteful way..nice to be able to find your pocket kife in the dark...whther you dropped your knfe or forgot where you put it. Odd ZT doesn't yet have a knife with a SHeepsfoot blade..Hinderer and CKK does...
I got a 0707 cheap. N I understand the TDS on that since the handles r so slim. It helps deploy the knife great. But makes the action shutting it bad. I can get over it, but I do like to fidget with my knives n it definitely hurts that. On this knife, i don't think it needs the TDS. The handles r big enough to accommodate most hand sizes, with room to keep ur fingers off the lock bar. Its a good knife, but the price point isn't great. I wish ZT would go back to some more super beefy tanks like the 0308.
Very subjective. Everyone has different opinions of what a knife is “worth” especially when you get in that price range. If you’re ok with the TDS system, I would say yes, but if you don’t like it, then no.
Def gonna be a TDS Hater until I have this in hand... Just don't see the need lol. If it's designed to be an action improvement...well...WHY lol Oh I see now... it's so the blade doesn't close on your finger? Ok I hate it, and I'll prob remove it honestly
Zt heat treatment is poor..m very poor. No they are not back. Zt lock geometry is still bad. Again they arnt back. They make some nice looking knives and decent action... That does not make a knife. Also how thick behind the edge is this one??
Not a fan of the new ZTs but the old models were not known as slicers but they were durable and great looking. Heat treat may be a little questionable on some models.

It only has one detent ball on the opposite side of the frame lock bar, not two?

ZT has really gone astray with their designs and prices. The blade shape on this looks really nice, but the handle is not doing it for me.

What are you basing that on? Have you tried and tested a recent ZT?
