Aegon can't die because if Aegon and his dragon are killed, the book will be severely violated. Aegon and Sunfire must survive until the end of the dragon dance.
I'm so glad your brother was here for this one. Fantastic discussion again, thank you. I'm also glad you like Aegon too. I agree with all your points about him. Yes he is hot headed/ has poor judgement, but a lot of his actions come from years of neglect and not being loved/ respected. It's all being motivated from wanting to feel worthy for once in his life and the actor is doing such an amazing job. That scene with Alicent broke my heart because he realised he really was just a pawn from the start. Ironically, that's exactly what Otto did to Alicent. I think if he was guided with love, he'd be a decent King, but from the start everyone (mother, brother, Otto, his council) sees him as useless. Sad to think Sunfyre loves him more than his own family. There's so much complexity in Aegon that I think a lot of people miss because they see only the surface. BTW: I think Sunfyre is very beautiful...In the close ups you can see the golden skin shimmering. Maybe if they made the pink in the wings more bright? For me, I would love to have a galaxy looking dragon that could blend with the stars at night. Maybe call it "Midnight"...fun to think about, haha :) About Team Black...yeah, I've been so disappointed in them too. Daemon has been the only one with good battle strategy in the past. Rook's Rest was a trap (they knew Rhaenyra would send a dragon since Dragonstone is so close). Team Black should have calculated for that but they had no back up plan for Vhagar being there. Then the senseless loss of Rheanys. She knew the castle was lost either way and she couldn't beat Vhagar...smart move was to go back and regroup or get help. You guys already covered this. It makes no sense to me either but I'm hoping Team Black step up next ep. PS: Harrenhal is an important base. It's good Daemon is there. The problem is he has no army yet and he is not updating Rhaenyra. This lack of unity has really hurt them I think. Love your reactions, thank you :)
Yeah, exactly, I see good aspects on Aegon that if he had better people around him, they could shine, but unfortunately he has the wrong people. But, what I thought today is that, at the same time, he has the right people. He is hot headed but has counselors that are patient and good at strategy. On the other hand, Rhaenyra is patient (sometimes a little bit too much) with a lot of hot headed people around her, so I think that why she is loosing. As you said, Daemon, despite his flaws, is good at strategy, but far away and not making contact, and Rhaenys had some good traits by now she is dead. So that’s why, also, I understand yours and my brothers point in why she should flee, but in my opinion the mistake was that she went there like that from the beginning. But in any case, if Rhaenyra wants to win the war, should soon find good counselors (perhaps Myseria) About the dragon, I love your “perfect” dragon, it sounds amazing. My favorite color is purple, so I would love a purple dragon with some blue or pink shimmering, but a don’t have a name yet, hihi! No one is giving him the chance to be a good King because from the beginning there's no respect. With Rhaenyra you are right, her advisors don't seem level headed. She really needs a good strategist. Myseria will definitely be very important, you are right. Also, I forgot to mention that I think Larys will be interesting to watch out for. He gave this look to Aemond when he was taking over the council meeting/ not sharing his secret plans with Cole. It's like Larys didn't like Aemond doing that. Not sure if he will be helpful to Aegon in the future (if he survives). It really looks like Aemond wanted to kill Aegon this ep... About your dragon, ahh, the colours sound very nice! If you ever think of a name or a "special power" for your dragon do let me know. I think it's fun to think about! :) - And no worries. I enjoy the reactions a lot.
