This is huge!! I have been disappointed with the clarity of my videos especially going from light to shade etc and your suggestions really helped! Thank you!!
Thanks for subscribing- you don’t have to change the frame rate for each country you go to but you should change the frame rate for the country you live in so that if you mix the footage with other stuff you film it will all be on the same frame rate. So I shoot everything at 25 frames per second on all my cameras and this is for any country I go to. It’s probably less important now because most stuff just gets used on phones and social media and the platforms just deal with any frame rate.
If i edit videos using my phone will consume internet data? or the transfer between camera and phone will use the wifi connection between them provided by insta360?
How to send video and photo content from your Insta360 X3 camera to my local album in my ANDROID PHONE. when I review exported pictures I won't be able to see it in 360 why, or there is another way to see it the same way i see in insta360 app
I wish when you turned the camera on it was one button and ready to shoot video in the highest resolution. Can't count how many times I booted the cam and missed the shot because it was set to take photo's first...
When i record video suddenly the picture its became a blue not natural picture and not clear, i had restart the camera and sett again, and also the same, what can i do ? Can u give a solution ? Tq before
I’ve found with isolated exposure on, it produces a noticeable stitch line. Even on bright sunny days. Leaving that setting off, I’ve gotten my best looking footage. Am I doing something wrong?
@@EatSleep360 lol glad I’m not the only one. This last update has been major as far as usability of the camera in general. I haven’t tried iso exposure since the download, I’ll see how it does.
hi, could you share how can we adjust volume level while playing/previewing footage you capture directly on the camera's screen? insta360 1r allows you to lower/increase the volume while your playing back foortage on the camera itself *Not referring to volume levels while connected to the mobile app on wifi.
My insta360 x3 died and its not restarting! Tried many times taking the battery out...no luck its dead! Any ideas on what to do would be apprecitated, thanks a lot
Try powering it without the battery in connected to a plug or a powerbank - at least then you’ll know if it’s a diff battery. Also try holding the on button for 20 seconds which is like a master reset.
If you export from the story maker you can increase resolution to 1440p. Most phones probably wouldn’t be able to process the footage at a higher res. You can do it in 4k in the studio software but even that is upscaled because you are limited by the 5.7k to start with.
Unfortunately there isn’t, I’ve heard others with the same issue- I’ve had this happen before but it hasn’t happened every time. Have you tried exporting the clip as sometimes it’s out of sync when editing but not on export. You could drag it into a third party edit software and adjust it there - a real faff I know.
@@EatSleep360 I have the same problem after exporting as well. Which 3rd party apps would you recommend? One setting I found was the audio setting. There's either stereo, Wind & noise reduction & direction focus. Direction Focus is the setting that helped a little. A couple videos came out perfect & the others were say out. I'd be happy to use a 3rd party app if it can fix the problem in the meantime. Have you tried going live on RUclips or Facebook with it to see if that was synced?
My insta 36o x3 doesn turn on. I dont know what to do to solve it. Any solution? I was normaly filming and it stopped working. After that, it did not turn on again.
Try removing the battery and powering the camera directly into usbc - this will prove if it’s the battery or the camera that has a problem. Also try holding the on button for 20 seconds.
@@EatSleep360 Thank You. I tried but it did not turn on. Here in South America we don't have tecnithians that solve the problem and send the camera back to Hong Kong is really expensive and risky because we don't know if the product Will be back due to nacional regularions that are very weard and complicated. :( I don't know what to do. It just has 2 months and was working perfectly SO far.
You will only see 5.7k when in 360 mode - you might be in single lens mode. Tap on the camera icon in the bottom left hand corner and then you should see 360 and single lens mode pop up so select 360.
If you’re switching countries then just film in the frame rate of your country. It is more about if you are editing it alongside other videos that are shot in a different frame rate. Also with some cameras you will get flicker on screens and lights if you are not set to the correct country/framerate/frequency. The x3 has anti flicker which is set to auto in the menu.
Any suggestions to help on x3 heating up? I just bought one and after charging it began to use it for about 10 minutes and noticed it gets very hot.. I didn’t get a chance to go through any settings yet…any help would be appreciated!! Thank you!
Hi, it does get very hot so this is normal. There’s a lot of processing going on in a very small space. There aren’t any settings that will help I’m afraid.
Dude I really like your videos but I think this one, where you recommend to use Isolated Exposure... that's a huge no no.... I believe you'd be better off using Auto or pick an exposure setting. Reason is that by using Isolated Exposure, you have 2 different lens that WILL lead you to a stich exposure line that you can't get rid of. That's crazy...I'd only use that if and only if you have bright lights or sun everywhere.
Yes I agree it’s one of those features that does work really well some of the time but when it doesn’t you are right - the stitchline is terrible - thanks for the comment
I’m afraid using isolated, exposure, ruined my shots. I didn’t realise it was turned on and there was such an obvious change of exposure on the stitch line and it made the whole shoot unusable
It’s like all these auto features, it will depend on each scenario whether it helps or hinders. Unfortunately it can’t get it right every time. Thanks for the comment, that’s good for others to be aware of.
Have to disagree with filming in 5k30 versus 4k60, in 4k60 ya get slowmo if you want it, and nearly all people edit for SM which compresses stuff so much that you can't see any difference edited form 5k or 4k. The files are huge and battery life is shit also with 5k files, rendering is 4x slower in edit

Question, when the camera is 'off' you can press the left button to begin recording without having to power on the camera. Also does same in reverse when you press that same button to stop recording. My question is, can you change the 'profile'? Meaning, it always defaults to the '360' setting, but I'd like to have the option to do a single lens mode from that startup. No one seems to know the answer. Thanks!
Usually with quick capture I thought the camera starts recording in whichever mode you left it in before you turned it off - I might be wrong. Otherwise it probably can’t be changed.

Exactly the right moment for me as I have my X3 since Monday 😎
Excellent, glad it’s helpful

good tips Rich! Especially the sharpness stuff! Cheers!
Thanks so much for the download!!! And a very useful video!
When filming in single lens can you zoom in post on the mobile app?
Interesting tips, thanks
Just FYI for those folks who buy this camera in USA most of these settings will already be factory set by default to best quality.
Thanks for the tips! Cool & easy explained!👍🏻

You can set it to do that in quick capture mode - when it’s off you press the record button and it will turn on and record straightaway.

It sounds like you have gone into manual white balance mode. Swipe left on the right side of the screen (I think) and make sure you are in auto mode.
