    I'm glad I came across your video. I have a 78 nova sedan where can I purchase a new set of window channels my felt is dry rotted?

      I was able to reuse mine, they were in pretty good shape. If search on eBay , there are a couple options, bulk stuff that can be cut to fit.

      @@threeriverswrench awesome your a life saver what kind of adhesive or glue would you suggest to hold the felt in that will work best.

      3m brand. Black or yellow adhesive works 👍🏻

    Love the video. I have a 75 ventura that im having the hardest time finding a rear bumper reinforcement. Im asking because most nova parts are interchangeably with my car. If you know where, i can get one. It would be much appreciated. And thanks.

      Thanks for watching! Off the top of my head ,no. But, if you’re not on Facebook, maybe consider joining,at least for the multiple 4th gen X body groups. Plenty of good guys on there with plenty of parts for sale. Hope this helps.

    Hello, I'm from Chile, I'm restoring a 76 Chevy Nova, do you know if Amazon sells the window brushes and the door sealing rubber, so I can have them imported to my country, greetings from Chile my friend, good job on that car, sorry if my english is not good.

      Sorry,I don’t see them on Amazon. They are available through eBay. Classic Industries sells them also. Search using the words “window sweeps”. Good luck and thanks for watching Jorge!

    Where did you get the window run channel from. I'm doing that part on my 1975 Chevy Nova hatchback next.

      I reused my original set. I got lucky,mine were in pretty good shape. Just cleaned them up. As far as I know,nobody makes a new set for this vehicle,but there are some universal kits out there use can cut to fit.

    whats the weather stripping you put on the INSIDE of the car door called? i need a new one and don't know what to look for

    • @threeriverswrench
      @threeriverswrench  6 месяцев назад +1

      It’s identified as “glass run weatherstrip”. They don’t make these new specifically for the 4th gen X body cars. You’ll have to find a good used set online for sale or hit up a junkyard. I got lucky,mine were in really good shape so I cleaned and reused them. Good luck. Thanks for watching!

    How did you remove the old weather stip?

      Hi Mike, are you trying to save the old one and reinstall,or do you have a new one?

    • @mikeobrien6452
      @mikeobrien6452 2 года назад +1

      @@threeriverswrench I was going to replace them with new, ones.

    • @threeriverswrench
      @threeriverswrench  2 года назад

      @@mikeobrien6452 Got it. You will need to get some weatherstrip adhesive from the parts store. 3M makes it.It comes in yellow or black. Buy the black. Costs approx. $15.00. The top half of the weatherstrip is held in a grooved track, that you lay a small bead of adhesive in. The bottom half of the door is held in with little plastic push pins, they come already installed in your new weatherstrip. As far as removal goes,I just man handle it...pull it off ,then get a trim stick or needle nose pliers and remove the old plastic push pins. Then take a plastic scraper and scrape away the old adhesive out of the top track.Hope this helps. Sorry , I should have got a little more descriptive with that portion of the video.Thanks for watching ..any other questions, dont be afraid to ask.

      eBay. Just search 1975 Nova window fuzzies. Several pairs are available on there. Price has jumped in the last year though. Maybe check Rock auto as well.
