McMaster still singing trump’s praises is very disheartening. Trump was the worst as well as the most destructive and divisive president in our nation’s history.

McMaster is singing praises to DJT, and yes some of his ideas may have been great, but.... as McMaster says DJT would change his mind and add things to the original plan and not stay focused on the overall objective. This is a sign of weakness. If DJT were a company commander in an armored division he would have been relieved of command. Just vote for Harris.

A lot of his companies folded because, not only is he a poor businessman, he loses interest…and, has Zero care or empathy for the workers who are suddenly without a job or healthcare.

Mcmaster makes some good points about policy and trashes Obama and Biden like a republican without any presentation of the other considerations that might have been at play. But his naivete in talking about Trump decision making is shocking, He was dealing with a child and a draft dodging fool who has shown his disrespect for veterans clearly, but talks about him like he was a person who could make decisions in the country's interest like a normal person.

Great insights from a great man. As a management consultant, I worked with a leader like Trump, ironically at a family business that was being merged. Walking on eggshells with a highly reactive explosions that took us to unproductive conversations. Weird beliefs and worst of all, no none could shine lest they somehow outshine "the boss." Let's turn the page on Trump and get back to leading.

I do not find McMaster to be very objective in his self-evaluation of actions while serving under Trump, who he seems more inclined to be an apologist for, overly consistently so. Overall, just not that impressed as he seems to be very much under the Trump spell; perhaps, he was just too close for too long. Trump ALWAYS played the contrary role: A) because he didn't know ANYTHING (and was embarrassed) and B) to feed his unconscious NEED for creating chaos from which he can eventually derive benefit for himself EVERY TIME. His psychological type is SO EASY for people like Putin to manipulate, and he did consistently.

Cliff note - grew up on the North Shore Huntington; left for university in North Carolina; live coastal North Carolina; my daughter Chaney Adams Denton is Nikki Haleys senior communications advisor 13.5 years; we lived through the Trump years whilst Nikki and Chaney worked at the UN. Nikki left after 2 years ( how many Scaramumuci's is that?) on her terms as she stated, no one lasts with Donald; nothing ends well with Donald. She told Donald during the 2016 primaries in Columbia, SC when she was still Governor that his tone would take him down one day. Theres so much more and yet, my take as a back seat driver anyone who touches Trump ends up as a pickle in a jar. Stored and preserved. It just depends what you do with the experience. You either go down with Trump or you break out into your own and survive. November 5th, 2024 will hopefully give the REAL RNC oxygen to revive and get its act back together. From a fellow LIER. We never lose the accent or mentality and proud of it.❤

Flynn was out by "2.1 Scaramuccs"... I always laugh when things are measured in Scaramuccis. Good interview. I recognize that guys like McMaster are why Trump's first term didn't totally collapse into utter disaster. The people surrounding Trump (the good ones) worked to prevent his worst inclinations. But, even with those efforts, Trump couldn't help but induce a bunch of problems and be a consistent source of chaos. The general tries to paint a kind of balanced critique of Trump, but let's face it, if you have to really tailor how to present basic information and geopolitical concepts to the US President, just so the President can kind of understand it his way, you're dealing with a serious problem. Reading comprehension and effective analytical thinking are essential for the number one, and Trump ain't got those capabilities. When Trump talks about NATO, he's either being disingenuous about how the alliance works, of fundamentally doesn't understand the arrangement at all. He clearly doesn't see the value of NATO, and how that collective security greatly helps the USA project influence and support national security at a fraction of what it'd cost otherwise. And Trump's pandering to Putin is absolutely beyond the pale. His and the MAGA's efforts to undermine Ukraine's defense and our ability to provide assistance against what's clearly merely the first salvo in Putin's grand scheme to reconstitute the Russian Empire, is astonishing and inexcusable. Also, this idea that Trump's disruptions are somehow a good thing is ridiculous. You don't ruin something in order to fix it. My dishwasher stopped working recently, and I didn't beat it with a sledgehammer. I took the door off and sponged out some water that had collected at the bottom of the device. Snapped it back together and it works great. Incremental repairs are usually much better than demolitions, but Trump wants to set fire to government institutions, especially voting, and some of the more swarthy GOP operators are only too happy to help him do it. Anyway, I appreciate Scaramucci's efforts to shed light on some of these issues with Trump and his toxicities. If only more Republicans wouldn't kowtow to Trump and/or simply go along with his unAmerican activities.

I thank H.R. McMaster for his extended service in both the military as well as the trump admin. But I am disappointed by his discounting of the harm trump caused, some of which was criminal. I am also disappointed by his failure to see how central money is to trump's thought process. This $10 million 'Egyptian mystery' is just the latest. As for being a 'deal maker', even in trump's early days, could anyone believe that Mexico, with an economy a twelfth that of the U.S., would pay the estimated $20 billion (equivalent to $240 billion, based on their GDP) to build a wall? A true negotiator would have contacted officials in advance, propose a pro-rata contribution, and in exchange, the U.S. would strive to stop arms sales/shipments to the cartels.

Although I haven't read his book; as a regular viewer of "Goodfellas," I learned nothing new about McMaster's hagiography and apologia of Trump. In fact, he's been asked the same questions by more or less sympathetic interviewers so many times, that his narrative has been honed to perfection. But I'm not blaming Anthony for not pressing. If Trump really threatens the Constitution, McMaster may yet still be needed in the future.

Mcgregor also went to west point and has a pHD in history and understands quite a bit of the world, especially russian history. Yes, he is anti war and would be a good contrast to have on with some of your other guests. My guess is he might be too controversial or different from your views and it might be uncomfortable to have him on but it would be interesting nonetheless. Take care.

It is mcmaster's duty to the Constitution to make it very clear that Donald Trump must not ever be back in the White House and McMaster does not make this distinction in this interview or in other places

I'm interested to know how regular American's will be able to "re-unite" with those supporters of Trump - now that they have been unveiled for what are and what they stand for?

Well, this is so much propaganda. Joe Biden has been the best president since FDR, across-the-board. I feel like I'm listening to Trump talk; I think I'm out.

McMaster is positioning to be taken back by Trump, possibly for the purpose of keeping Trump from doing more stupid things. It's disappointing, coming from a general.

I’m afraid that the General’s criticisms of Trump sound too mild to stand out.
I think it would help if he extrapolated and discussed the specific possible consequences of Trump’s flaws if he re-enters office.

This is what's wrong with Trump as president you need to be surrounded by very intelligent people. The people he is surrounding himself with is not good. Please don't normalize Trump because he has issues. This was a great interview
