Anthony: I want you to understand this. This is what is going on. Your clients and friends at DAVOS did this to US in America. These Opus Dei Christian caliphate trickle down economic plutocratic white billionaire have used many ways to destroy the cognitive brain function to stop critical thinking to make choices to thrive. The rich believe they can control women more than men. So, the rich destroyed their belief that they can do nothing to be in this society. While the rich brainwash their legacy children to control and think of humans as a pair of old shoes they can throw away. My life (now 71) has been burned and destroyed by the billionaire rich. They stole a good paying union job, a job I loved, my starting business, and my loving home. It is not all boomers. It is not the retiree that has their retirement money in a 401k or retirement fund. It is your buddies that destroyed these young men because the boards of directors in universities are the rich controlling who goes in and who doesn't and using the less economic loan students to control with crumbs for life. The rich steal everything. Food, homes, small businesses, land, even each other's corporation. They are in a Palace of Versailles mindset of "what's in it for me" and survival of the fittest. This is the destroyers, and it is proven in Project 2025. Start looking at the cause of your billionaire buddies on this. Stop blaming US boomers for everything because all I exist on, like so many of boomers, is social security. And it is not enough. I am being food deprived (not starved out yet) by a national management real estate corporation renting me a bug infested apartment. I am feeling like those 7 million men existing with no job and no hope. So please stop hurting us seniors by saying its our fault.

Just remember it goes both ways. I am from "liberal" Denmark. I dated very few men who were ok with me making more money than them. I myself did not care how much money they made. So please teach your sons that they are not less masculine because they date a woman who makes more money than them.

    • @paullentz1972
      @paullentz1972 17 часов назад

There are plenty of men who would have no problem dating/marrying a woman who makes more money than them. The problem is that most women today only find 4.5% of men to be sexually appealing. In fact, most women rate 80% of men as being 'below a 5' (on a scale of 1-10). 4.5% of men are literally running through/pumping and dumping/smashing and dashing 35-40% of women out there. Basically if a man isnt a Chad with a Bag (1. at least 6 feet tall....2. have a head full of hair...3. has broad shoulders...4. have a great smile...5. have amazing/striking eyes...6. have a strong/pronounced chin...7. makes a lot of money....8. have the gift of gab...9. has status...10. has charisma). Men like this...do not grow on trees. In fact...when only factoring in height (only 13.7% of men are at least 6 feet tall) and income (only 17% of men make at least $100k a year).....only 2.7% of men are at least 6 feet tall AND also make at least $100k a year....and that's not factoring in looks, build, conversation, status, etc. Women today expect men to accept them for all their flaws...YET will hella disqualify a plethora of men for any number of reasons. In 2023, Morgan Stanley predicted that 42% of women age 40 and older will be BOTH single AND childless. Why? Because they want their investors to put their money in businesses that cater to singles....while avoiding putting their money towards businesses that cater to couples/parents. Women today are told to 'not settle'. The more educated/career minded/money a woman makes...the pool of men that she'll consider dating/marry significantly shrinks.

I think these two good men deserve applause for approaching difficult topics with honesty from their point of view. Though he deserves credit for working hard, Scott Galloway has admitted that part of his success was luck.
We've taught our youth that hard work is how you become successful, which is a big lie. Kids wasted money on college and got stuck with debt. Others did labor work and can barely pay their bills. Working for a tyrant boss for peanuts is what has emasculated our young men and women. Masculinity should not only be a male trait. Women also have the desire for having power over their lives.

True. EVERYTHING is really hard for young people. I’m an older person. I watch and am sad. The anxiety is through the roof. No sense of direction. No support. No guidance. It is really tough growing up these days unless you have a huge, very strong family who can guide you, support you, take care of you until you no longer need them. According to friends raising kids, that’s about age 30.

The K-12 educational system has been in decline since the 1980s. Devastating government budget cuts have eroded core subjects such as math, science, geography, critical thinking, writing, rhetoric, economics, and government. Additionally, programs for children with learning disabilities, autism, and intellectual disabilities have been deteriorating since the early 2000s, and the situation has not improved. These issues demand immediate attention and meaningful action.

I have 3 sons, 48, 39 and 34. My middle son went to college, older into Marines and younger trained as a lineman. Scott has described my middle son to a T. He does have a job that he doesn't like, but depressed because he still has student loans. 12 years and counting. Can barely support himself, let alone buy a new car a house get married and have children. He is on therapy, but has rage at the old system and lack of a future scares me. I am concerned that he will kill himself.
My life has not been one of financial or personal success myself. All 3 sons have patterned their lives using me as a template for what not to do. I'm 74, gay and divorced 3 times. Came out at 40. I've tried my best as a father, but missed the mark. I wish I had never brought my sons into this horrible world.

It's clear that men are sticky for Trump .. & the reasons are here, he speaks directly to their sense of grievance ..
I've been warning for a long time that the anti male vibe of feminism is deeply destructive of male psychological health, & the piper will be paid; the zealots howl this down as sexism!
Destroying their own sons, but daughters too, bc if you wreck the men the women will soon suffer the lack of decent men to opposite with.
It's all part of this absurd "biology is a social construct" idea; healthy human development requires both sexes to be functional effective; not to say some gender stereotypes didn't need reworking, bc they did/do, but pls ppl, you've tossed the baby too.
The psychological fragility of men is real; women needs to know that; girls with brothers know it, those without not so much.
And 'childless cat ladies' may well be a reasonable descriptor of the overly zealous woman who does not understand the male psyche.
Polarising politics gets in the way of solutions everywhere. But the left is going to take a haircut for the democrats to get elected, bc they've gone too far.

The way Americans raise male children haunts everybody. Prizing physical and intellectual prowess as the avenue of agency deprives a human being of wholeness, of having a rounded life that includes emotions to choose one's path in this world. Without access to emotions or skills in regulating them, a person seeks other forms of strength and, at the extreme, results in killing yourself or others. You can increase access to outer indications of strength (home, income, etc.), and you will still have a person seeking inner agency. I praise your identification of the problem and ask for consideration of solutions that address the cause.

I think this conversation was another double standard that keeps reoccurring in the US. When blacks are under achieving, unemployed or unmotivated they are often described as lazy, antisocial to name a few descriptions. Little or no outreach is made to remedy the situation. When it affects the white younger Americans, it’s a crisis. This was similar during the drug frenzy when users were predominately black. It went unnoticed and again the users were blamed. it was their own fault. When the white community got caught up in the drug frenzy, it was described as a drug epidemic that needed to be resolved. I’m a white guy who grew up in the Bronx. I think people have to take responsibility for their own situation. My parents would not tolerate me not going to school, college and eventually finding a career. I’m disappointed that these points were not brought up and the conversation was one where white guys are whining when things aren’t going right for white guys. I think a hard think has to be made as to when the individual has to take responsibility for his own actions. I loved that the conversation came up, but found that there were points that were avoided or missed. I loved your show.

The system has evolved to a game of Monopoly where the few own everything, with no effort or value added their wealth continues to grow exponentially. We have a political system that is bought and paid for by the rich and special interests, add all points raised by Scott and we have the resulting end game. Today's youngsters are coming up in such a different world than my generation, post Vietnam. The technology is evolving by quantum leaps. The kids in today's world are literally, to some extent, getting their brains rewired. How fair is this to them? I don't mean anything badly, but doesn't always seem like a recipe for success. Who knows where it will wind up? I hope, somehow, this current state of affairs is not so cut and dried that there are no outs for them later -

Galloway was very happy while Harris was VP to slander her based upon zero evidence, insisting that the vice president of the United States suddenly ought to be able to create policy and take control when the history of the vice presidency literally excludes her and any of her predecessors from doing so. He helped spread untrue rumors on the Pivot podcast and elsewhere that she wasn’t able to get along with her staff and that she was ineffective. Galloway is intelligent and caring, but when he keeps talking without taking a breath-that is, runs his mouth like he’s the definitive source of all knowledge- he loses my respect and willingness to listen, despite the fact that he’s very likeable. He breathlessly cites data that he doesn’t source and then makes broad, often emotionally charged, claims about the future of Americans, particularly young male Americans, that he seems to believe are gospel. His claims are not gospel. They’re simply the aggregation of ideas he has read filtered through fear for himself, his sons, and others like them. Sorry, but it’s true.

Great episode Gents! I’m most intrigued by the Educational Industrial Complex that has been driving both parents and youth, irrespective of their unique talents, to pursue expensive degrees. This is the wrong track for many. Vibrancy and diversity of talents need to be encouraged and celebrated. I’d love to connect with Scott on this topic. Working through a project on this very topic.

A loud applause is deserved for this presentation. Many points spot on, but one in particular; compulsory community service as a precursor to obtaining college availability and/or governmental financial assistance. The community understanding that comes from such service bonds the participate to the understanding of how connections are made, how necessary it is for survival, how sustainability is crucial and how government can work. In the 60’s there was something known as Vista. Something like Vista 2.0 would be easily revamped to apply to contemporary issues with a roadmap for government funding already available. I’m afraid 70 years of the American commercial public relations campaign to make enviablity the touchstone of a consumer growth strategy while including every aspect of an American citizens life as a commodity to be traded, worked. One could say it was somewhat of a naive journey for a young nation not aware of the long term unintended consequences. But one would be wrong. There were countless books and articles warning of the consequences all along that chosen path to prosperity and a whole lot of cynical proponents who were beneficiaries of that strategy. They’re still around and still trying hard to control the levers of both government and the messaging.

From what I see happening in the UK, this bad situation is widespread. I'm old enough to remember the mens groups spriinging up after the "women's liberation movement". It was all a blur to me since I had decided, tho straight ,never to marry or have children. I remember movies and articles MAKING FUN of those short-lived men's movements. And here we are, trying still to balance it out. I was very interested in his comments on "legacy" learning institutions. In this day, I think preparatory education offers more, and i would like to see a lot more funding giiven there.

Good episode, very enlightening for me since I grew up in a two-parent household, with a father who was a strong role model, a mother who was equally so, each adding their own particular ingredients to the sauce. This episode gave me insights into what I've generally only observed from the outside, and often missed entirely, except for the consequences. I don't know why he slipped in the comment about doing away with capital gains taxes. It was too glib and shallow to be meaningful. I would love to see an episode in which the issue of capital gains tax was discussed in depth, but you might lose half your audience if you did so. Your vlog is by far the most interesting on RUclips and I look forward to every episode. I've recommended it to several friends ... artists, writers, musicians ... the usual band of layabouts. My first reaction to the Scaramucci of the days when your were supporting Trump was, "what a dick", though I did really enjoy the scatalogical language as you departed the administration. The current incarnation of Scaramucci is a very different creature. Thanks, Anthony, you've restored my faith in evolution.

  • @brianjames7607
    @brianjames7607 2 дня назад +1

This is 100% true….but this is the way the people want it. The older generation has always said they want it to be better for their children.(posterity) But in practice each older subsequent generation repeated the process of expecting the next generation to fund a good portion of their retirement by profiteering from selling their “housing”. I have always said THIS IS ONE OF THE FOUNDATIONAL PRACTICES OF DEVALUING THE CURRENCY IN THE USA. Everything related to real estate follows and compounds the process.
THIS IS MATHEMATICALLY UNSUSTAINABLE. WORSE THAN SOCIAL SECURITY.

The only frontier of growth is the creation of scarcity. Time for another economic model. Perhaps the pay should be a minimum percentage of profits, rather than minimum wage. Investment no longer creates opportunities, but perpetual servitude. The growth of money is not exponential. Resources are not permanent or infinitely abundant.
The act of investing compared to somebody building a house, saving someone's life, making a product isn't equivalent, it is simply being privileged to be able to afford an investment and expecting a return. Perhaps when there were other frontiers to explore, that growth could be maintained. Now, as the only exploration that seems to be taking place is the replacement of people, the slow reduction of people and the acquisition of their resources seems to be the only mission for capitalists.

The big problem in California is still Prop 13 which freezes the housing market because people don't want to sell houses. Low interest rates since 2008 have frozen the market. The buying-up of houses around the US by big finance firms has frozen up the market. Zoning is an issue, i.e., compare SF to Tokyo's zoning and permits. Good interview, though. TY for posting it.

    • @kimoandrews5802

Can you explain Tokyo housing permits? I have noticed that they can build housing on any plot of land, even inches from another structure. A 1000 Sq ft house sitting on 1/4 acre lot in the Bay Area goes for millions. Developing an ADU is cost prohibitive if it is even allowed by the local city due to water hookup fees.

America's educational systems train middlestream, do not honor uniqueness or often do not really see the child and their needs to learn. New standards helped - but we are still not designing holistic lessons and projects which can teach all aspects of learning as well as projects that promote discovery. So fun - teachers don't have freedom to teach what they need - all textbook driven lessons usually shallow are assembly-like and uninteresting mostly. Thematic units keep wandering away. Too much variation. Capitalism needs to not drive Educational choices - choices should be for Teachers only so they can teach. We study many years then use little of what we were taught. That's wrong to all.

Kids cannot get ahead. The boomer generation preaches about work ethic and sacrifice, something that they never did, and have rigged the game against anyone succeeding other than themselves.
In 1987 I paid $800 a semester at the University of Akron for 16 credit hours. My book bill was $100. I could easily make that money in a summer part-time. No loans. Good education. Had fun.
Now ONE book is $200-300 in an era where books should be on an iPad or Kindle. Tuition is $15k. Rent? Forget that, it used to be a good studio or attic would cost $400. Now those are "cool" places to live and in urban areas can get $1500 a month today.
Meanwhile our corporations are making record wealth. Our top 1% owns a larger and larger fraction of our economy.
    Something is wrong. Really wrong.
