It is very hard to forgive someone who got into the Trump camp. He was one of the better ones, which is not a very high bar, and he is definitely very smart and honest compared to the usual but the fact that he was willing to jump on board with a scam artist, and miss the birth of his child because his power ambitions is a very hard to dismiss stain in him. Apparently he was perfectly OK with a structure built on dishonesty and only grew a spine after he was fired. It's still a good thing but I'd prefer someone who was honest from the beginning. I prefer him to be a political commentator because he is definitely very knowledgeable, smart and seems very non-partisan.

      @@blb1954he became that though.
So, tell me, the ‘American dream’, which he achieved he is penalized for…what earns respect?
Should a person not go that path if they can, in order to appease your anger at the capitalist system you live in?
      Is it jealousy?
      What is it?
It’s a weird irony to tout the United States as a place to pursue such dreams…yet if a person achieves them, they are ridiculed?
I myself am not driven to that definition of “success”…the riches etc.
I also don’t love the way that some achieve that wealth. However, it is a system we live in. You can vote for changes, get in office, do something if you don’t like it.
I just wonder if you’ve analyzed why you categorize him in a simple way.
He’s from a working class and propelled himself somewhere else. Should he have refused the opportunities?

@@4thumbsdown I think he got caught up in the whirlpool that surrounded Trump as the campaign had progressed. Followed by an incomprehensible amount of Trump's antics, the appointments made, the people sacked, the people who left. Scaramucci must have felt trapped as it began dawning on him how awful, and stupid Trump really was as president. Perhaps he'd seen Trump do lots of stupid stuff, but dismissed it from his mind. Everyone was caught up in the seemingly endless horrors of Trump's earliest days.

Trump is a classic New York Businessman, who will talk very differently from a Goldman Sacks guy...They both understand the system, they understand its broken - benefiting the elites only. And yes, they are part of the elite, that's why they understand what's going on where your average Joe wouldn't know their politicians are selling them out for Campaign donations.

      Gus Jackson , What? Disaster?
Which part is the disaster? The media’s handling of Trump, maybe? The deep states constant attempts to remove him or prevent him from being in office?
The never Trumper‘s constant miss representation of Trump’s agenda?
Just to be clear, most people believe they are doing much better under this president than any president over the last 30 years. The average man can see that Trump actually gives a damn about them. Trump has a high likelihood of being reelected in an electoral landslide. Go back and look at the election in 1984 as a reference.

Clinton went to Kentucky--met with many people in a round table to discuss what was important to them. They attacked her--whether because of their character deficiencies or because they were used, she tried to explain the importance of training them for new jobs in their communities so they could stay there where they wanted to be, but get the new jobs such as maintaining the robotic equipment that had replaced so many in factories. THEY ATTACKED HER--CUSSING AT HER, disrespecting her. How dare she expect them to go to school! How dare she?
She did not create the need to re-educate oneself for new jobs as decades pass! As tho it is so "elitist." They had enough school...well, then they are the people who no one wants to hire--ans anyone who says differently, like Trump, lied to them. I took night classes to improve and expand my skills throughout my career, after 7 yrs college/law school--it's not elitist, it's competing with the other guy for the one job that will remain in 5 yrs.
Ivanka is now out there pretending she invented retraining workers! Aerospace companies have done this for 50 yrs. You retrain or you give up. But Hillary was lambasted for heartfelt, hardworked efforts to help those "forgotten" people.
Trump used them, lied to them. More coal plants have closed, he did not stick by them with their insurance and pension issues that Hillary was right there to help them with. He cut their job training and job finding assistance, energy bill assistance, and came up with insane plans to force people nationwide to pay extra line items on energy bills to support coal mine owner billionaires on energy bills in places that stopped uring coal in the early 1980s bc Calif air was so filthy, little kids had asthma just bc of the air their breathed. So force these parents, grannies on SocSec, people on small pensions or min wage to support billionaire coal mine owners?
It's insane! Coal miners have been used, made the worst decisios in history.

Some folks reach a point that they dont want to be educated further. The stress and fear and insult that they feel in being told what they do isn't good enough. I understand how those folks may have felt. You think uneducated people are clueless about themselves, but maybe they understand their own ability to learn and were striking out as a survival reaction.
