    Anthony Scaramucci, also known as "The Mooch", is an American financier and political figure.
    Scaramucci worked at Goldman Sachs' investment banking, equities, and private wealth management divisions between 1989 and 1996. After leaving Goldman Sachs, he founded Oscar Capital Management, and in 2005, he founded the investment firm SkyBridge Capital.
    On July 21, 2017, Scaramucci was appointed White House Communications Director. He began work on July 25, although he had not yet been sworn in. Days into the job, Scaramucci provoked controversy after an expletive-laden interview with The New Yorker's Ryan Lizza, in which he made obscene and strongly derogatory statements about several members of the Trump administration.
    Ten days after the announcement of his appointment, he was fired by President Donald Trump, on the recommendation of the new White House Chief of Staff, General John F. Kelly.

      @@theecon867 well, the etymology of the euphemism "patsy" is likely from the Italian word "pazzo," for, "crazy" or maybe even "fool." I have watched this Harvard-educated fool for some time, now. Of course, he's been outrageously successful (and I'm sure from good decisions, hard work but maybe also due to his enviable Harvard network). But in my mind, is still a fool. And don't forget, was made a fool of. Does he say things that are insightful and astute? Surely. Personally, I think it would be real fun to have some beers with him at a gritty pub in Porter or Davis Square. But I just see him working a bit too hard at spinning the truth. I believe he knows when he's BS'ing people. I guess that's the thing that gets me. And he spins his alt-fact sets of truths into a ball of something that resembles nonsense - especially for those who make the effort to triangulate the various possible perspectives of reality.

My opinion being an extremely intelligent, confident, charming, cocky, blowhard is what I’d call him. Similar to tRump, who lacked intelligence, finesse, they both came from the boroughs of NY. Personally I’m tired of him constantly throwing up the fact he came from a blue collar home. Many trump fanatics cannot see him clearly. He was a great reality tv star. Yet, tried to turn the presidency into another reality show. It is not. It is a serious business, which requires much more decorum, emotional intelligence, history/foreign policy awareness (which he is epically clueless to)…

    On the Mooch: I have huge respect for him for going to where he's challenged, be it here or Colbert's show. He claims to be honest and direct, but he deflects and twists way too casually. I have no doubt that he would make a darn good President. I like the way Mr. Scaramucci explains how 1975 wages haven't increased in 40 years and that 70,000 factories have been moved offshore challenging the middle class. Trump's promises of bringing these jobs back is a major factor in his appeal.

    I very much enjoyed this interview and found myself to be rather pleasantly surprised by Mr. Scaramucci's eloquence and insight. Ironically, having just reviewed his (Scaramucci's) Twitter feed, it appears that his opinion of Donald Trump and his presidency have changed radically and seems to be focused on exposing all the ugly undersides of this administration. Interesting, but not surprising, as this administration seems to lose 'qualified' and 'competent' personnel on a regular basis.

    Surprisingly compelling. Here, Scaramucchi displays all the characteristics of a classic movie villain: menace, duplicity, slipperiness, sliminess, crookedness, and the slightly psychotic persona of a smart Al Pacino-type gangster. He is indeed remarkably persuasive in his open and honourable comportment before the OU. But the look on his face when he is crossed - oh my... That's atavism for you.

    I was there that night and was exceptionally disappointed at the quality of the interviewing. I think the PotOU totally underestimated him. The guy is a product of Harvard Law and a former WH Comms Director. Unless you stay on top of him, he will (and did) dance circles around the interviewer. I think his first couple of answers surprised the PotOU in their quality and afterwards he treated him with kid gloves.
    You do not let the interviewee give self-justifying homilies for several minutes at a time. You pull them back to topic, back to the question. You pull them up about inconsistencies. Scaramucci basically admitted he is a centrist independent (which is true, if you do your research) who shills for bigots he previously publically denounced in strident terms if you pay him the right sum of cash. He was never pulled up on that utter moral turpitude. When he said that everyone is a liar in an attempt to excuse Trump for being one, the next question should have been 'FDR once said the US presidency is primarily a place of moral leadership, does that not mean he is to be held to a higher standard? Is it also not your responsibility to advise and remind him of that being his mouthpiece as Comms Director? Saying that we are all eyeballs deep in shit is no excuse for being a turd'. I left very exasperated. Very disappointed.

      The irony is that South Africa has a major border problem of its own. Violent as it is, it's still a magnet for other black Africans who add to the crime and undercut native wages. So you've got a black country with black rulers trying hard to keep out *really* poor black people. Most immigrants (Mexicans) to America are much wealthier than the Africans invading S. Africa. 42:30 that is a truly beautiful answer. I disagree with almost everything President Trump does and says and stands for but I do not understand reviling his voters. In India, in America and around the world people often vote not based on lofty policy principles but out of a simple need to see things change for the better. To help their families. We can't treat those people like traitors or like the enemy just because they have different political positions or an unpleasant opinion. We are not on separate teams we are all on a very big boat trying to sail to fair waters. I wish more people could understand that.

    • @DerpBane
      @DerpBane 5 лет назад +2

      _"vote not based on lofty policy principles but out of a simple need to see things change for the better."_
      Yeah the problem though is that they don't put any thought into it. They vote on very surface level to absolutely no understanding; making them easy to manipulate and bad at making judgements. Their vote is essentially a guess.
      That lofty policy may cause improvements in their life later down the line.
      They're not the enemy, but their fucking stupidity is. I know what you're saying though it's not really a counter to your message - I'm just sayin'.
      Take Brexit where there are people voting when they don't even know what _"no deal brexit"_ means or understand what europe is. They just can't get a job because of Polish immigrants, want a change for their family, and then vote for Brexit. Whereas if they thought about it a bit more they might be able to reason why leaving the EU won't improve their life overall all things considered because they'll get a job but wont be able to afford anything or get benefits. Or something like that just rifting an example I could vote both ways.

    • @DerpBane
      @DerpBane 5 лет назад

      @Βασίλειος Φίλιπποu I'd point out that thing you quoted me on isn't my opinion and is just a hypothetical (for context).
      Fair play I wrote out an essay reply and then realised I misunderstood you lol. So are you pointing out that some people don't "think" about it or apply reason because they're voting for their favourite leader, regardless of truth or reason, and not trying to vote for who they will think will make their life better?
      Because if that's the case then it's almost a separate point from where I'm sitting. Since I'm talking about the people that vote for who they think will make their life better. And the lying, well, you fall into the 'stupid' camp imo if you believe politicians at face value anyway.

      @@DerpBane I believe you've just proven his point. You, obviously, have not had a discussion with a Trump supporter. Your accusation that we haven't put any thought into it is so condescending! I can tell you that I am not easy to manipulate. Quite the opposite. I have spent most of my adult life voting democrat. I even almost voted for Obama. The democrats have started government program after government program, supposedly to solve problems that they, in fact, created. And they are just as pro-war as the republicans. Trump was anti-war, and that's the main reason I voted for him. Clinton never met a war she didn't like.
