I for one rather enjoyed the costume change. Would have liked for the "shoe string" lace in her blouse to have been gold .. matching her golden lasso. Speaking of costumes .. she did not wear her skirt NEARLY enough as in Judgement From Outer Space in season 1 .. incredible look!!
I watched this episode when I was 9 and I absolutely loved it. I had no idea that it was because Roy Rogers was uncomfortable with her original outfit. It just reminded me of My Mom in 1977. She loved western wear! This was classic fashion at that time. Lynda and I both grew up in Phoenix, and are Hispanic. So, when I saw this, I was all, "Mom! Look! She is wearing pants and boots!!! She looks just like you!"
She looks AMAZING!! What I'm actually picking up in this scene though is how progressive/modern she is, and how the boys listen to/admire her, one even helps with the house chores... Wonder Woman was so progressive! They also included diversity in their show long before it was common.
Roy Rogers' wife, Dale Evans, was an even earlier powerful heroine in the 1950s show. Talented with the pistol and constantly helped Roy take down thugs.
Honestly, Lynda Carter playing as Wonder Woman during the 1970s is really beautifully hot and amazing and both fun and interesting to watch! I was never born and raised around during the 1970s, but I been watch videos of clips on RUclips of the Wonder Woman TV series.
I like the way she gently places the lasso on Freddie and the weird sfx sounds as her magic belt works its a very cute scene and she even apologises to the kid. Lance Kerwin was in everything around the late 70s he was so popular from James at 15 etc just like Kristy McNicol off Famly they were both super huge.
I have no idea why Wonder Woman revealed the secrets about her powers - her belt and bracelets. That's how the rustlers in this episode managed to overpower her - by stealing her belt.
Ah yes... That's the one where Steve flew a "bubbletop" P-47D from Washington DC to Texas a year before that type of aircraft even existed. The one shown wasn't delivered to the USAAF until mid 1944, almost two years after this episode was supposed to have taken place. They couldn't even get a simple aircraft correct. 😂🤣😂🤣😂
this was a really weird episode. like wonder woman got lost in the Twilight Zone and had to wear this goofy get-up. even the set was off, more like a sitcom.
Roy Rogers was in semi-retirement and he would only do the show under certain circumstances. One of those requests was that Wonder Woman not wear her regular costume around children.
Forget washed up Roy Rogers and the show can do with out him and still has. What's with the "Charlie" kid does he have special powers too? It seemed that Wonder woman sensed his special abilities besides cleaning. I must agree this western suit version of Wonder woman is very awkward looking and less powerful looking. Thank goodness it was one forgotten episode.⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
But, even so, Roy's character J.P. Hadley was very kind to her about it-- he didn't lay down the law and say "You're gonna wear this or else"; he simply asked her to put something else on, knowing that Wonder Woman didn't bring any clothes (at least how I understand it).
@@larrycj4382 Roy Rogers is a weirdo for insisting that she wear this ridiculous outfit. Why would he be uncomfortable being around a sexy beautiful woman? Was he gay or something?
@@frankpetersen6624 Roy was from a different time and region where people were very conservative. He was married to Dale Evans and was one of the most popular stars in the US during the 1940s and 1950s. I was not surprised to hear that Roy wanted WW conservatively dressed around the kids. In the end, I think the attire did fit the setting and Linda still looked beautiful.

@@MarkovianMan Why? He ws still one of the most popular celebrities even in the 1970s. Wow and I thought her original outfit made her look beautiful, but in this one she's gorgeous.

In 1970s, Lynda Carter was so thin like Connie Francis...look at that waist! Am I willing to hug it and lift the owner.

Lynda Carter ~ 70's TV Wonder Woman
❤❤❤
Roy Rogers made good trade Wonder Woman for Trigger. Happy trails to you!
I actually liked it. It made her look even more modern, wearing her magic belt, golden lasso, tiara, bracelets & the red button post earrings.
LYNDA CARTER has said the rumor of Roy Roger refusing to appear with the Wonder Woman costume are not true.
Thank you very much, Wonder Woman TV HD, for uploading this video so that I can see it whenever I want to see it.

I'm hoping Funko, Inc. would take notice. That way, they could come up with vinyl figures in the likeness of Wonder Woman Western. That would be neat.
Lynda Carter is Awesome.
Wonder woman 👩would look great in anything she wore. She's beautiful in her own way I sure really truly honestly do love her as an actress.
I have no idea why Wonder Woman revealed the secrets about her powers - her belt and bracelets. That's how the rustlers in this episode managed to overpower her - by stealing her belt.
If nothing was a challenge for her there would be no story. The show would be over before the first commercial.
I don't get why Roy Rogers felt this was a kid-friendlier outfit, That top is more form-fitting than her actual costume
The entire set seems to be themed with her outfit. Warm colors against white. The rest of the cast has white and yellow or red themes as well.
Que lindo le queda ese traje ,todo le que hermosa a linda hace honor a nombre daría mi vida por conocerla
Woow, amazing beauty!
Look at that micro waist! I love her! :)
Hi Wonder Woman
This is the outfit you unlock when you complete the challenge missions.
The way I heard the story, the tomboy outfit was in deference to Roy Rogers' sartorial conservatism.
But, I bow to Del Smith's anecdote as debunking that .
Wonder Woman winked😉at Charlie like she trying to flirt💙with him, that’s cool😎💪🏾😎✊🏾💯💯‼️‼️

They weren't concerned with such details for television back then. TV fast pace production schedules on TV budgets.

Belleza 😍
Well she had to wear that outfit cause Roy rogers wanted her to cover up from the kids.
This is before the next season and her motorcycle outfit. At least that would have been better. Or at least a better cowgirl outfit.
But, even so, Roy's character J.P. Hadley was very kind to her about it-- he didn't lay down the law and say "You're gonna wear this or else"; he simply asked her to put something else on, knowing that Wonder Woman didn't bring any clothes (at least how I understand it).
It is very much funny that Diana Prince wears Wonder Woman's tiara, belt and lasso.

Poor Freddy . She embarrassed the f outta that poor boy
Then of course, later in life, he would become horribly disfigured from fire, and haunt children in their dreams.
@@WonderWomanTVHD LoL. Have to admit, I thought of Freddy Krueger too. I don’t think parents name their kids that anymore lol
She did apologize and gave him a good, if not motherly lesson. What a wonder woman!

Roy Roger's was not a nice man towards the orphans he took in.
