Lynda did some of her own stunts even jumping onto a helicopter as it took off. , she wasn’t supposed to. Gal was a combat instructor in the Israeli army. So doing a lot of her own stunts is following into Lyndas footsteps.

The Wonder Woman 70’s show was a couple of years before I was born but Lynda Carter is the classic Wonder Woman in that iconic outfit and I watched the old show on cable many years ago. I love Gal too but I’m happy Lynda made a cameo because she deserved to.
There are some people who were just born to play certain roles and there some who are so iconic that you will always think of them as that character no matter who comes or goes, Gal Gadot has already cemented herself as our modern generation's Wonder Woman and she's done a fantastic job, in fact i will go out and say that she has been the best thing to come out of the DCEU but Lynda Carter for me will always be my Wonder Woman and she still to this day looks as beautiful as ever.

I love that some films acknowledge the characters predecessor and manage to insert them in a cameo role; but, in this case it's a bit more than that. Nothing is worse than a cameo whose appearance and action is meaningless... Carter's action in the cameo fits her past character and is most welcome.
