- From D-Day and the bombing of Hiroshima to the Invasion of Poland and the custody battle for Midway games, no war in human history has come close to leaving the mark on our civilization the way World War 2 did. But as those who saw the horrors of Nazi Germany for themselves fade away, we have turn to video games to keep their memories alive. Can You Beat Call of Duty: WW2 Without Taking Any Damage?

Can You Beat Call of Duty WW2 Without Taking Any Damage? (in text form)
Lemme introduce you to our team. There’s Boone, Donald, Styles with the sweet frames, I’m Daniels, Pierson is the hard ass with a heart of gold, and the real war begins with the landing at Normandy. Nobody on the boat seemed to have any idea what was in store for us, and neither did I. Most of you watching probably weren’t alive back in the 1940s, so I’ll explain the situation, The German’s have eyes on us up in the hills and are using that tactical advantage of height to their advantage. Nowhere is safe. Damage comes from 60% of all directions unless you’re hunkered down behind a thick sturdy piece of cover. This isn’t a PS3 game where you can pull a sneaky, go prone and crab walk across the beach to the seawall without being shot because the AI is so bad. It is, but that’s not important here. If you’re making a run for it, as you are from touchdown to v-day, damage can seemingly come from anywhere. Making the run from cover to cover sometimes brought damage, sometimes it didn’t, no way to tell if it happens until it happens and you can’t kill the machine gunners while you’re on the beach, that would be ridiculous. 10 minutes in, stunned by everyone else’s inability to let me win, I hunkered down behind a dead tank and waited for help that would have a better chance of reaching my skeleton in a week than the person surrounding that skeleton right now.
Like most Calls of Duty, following the arrow on the screen will guide you to the credits at the end of the game, but most games don’t take someone like me into consideration. If this mission had a vehicle section, it would be the worst level of any game I’ve played for a challenge since I attempted Super Monkey Ball 2 without collecting any banana’s. But this level isn’t too bad compared to everything else, it is the first level after all and each level’s got some form of hell to endure. On rails sections with vehicles, tank battles, dogfights, infiltration missions, the worst invisible walls you’ve never seen, I had a lot of fun with this game when it was Call of Duty. In the time spent on the beach, I made it to the seawall a grand total of 3 times.
The first time was a goofy move, I was merely sticking my big toes in the water. The 2nd time, I wasn’t sure if the damage was scripted or not, so I reloaded just to be safe. Number 3, an hour in, having died at least 100 times, I slammed body into the earth like it owed me money, blew open an entrance to Parts Unknown, and could finally get into combat. Now, despite everything I’ve said about how difficult it was to get passed the first quarter of the first mission, enemies are generally either unfairly accurate or borderline blind, but everyone was back in those days. Even me. That’s why I disabled aim assist while playing on console. Did that make it harder? Oh f*ck yeah it did. Was it worth it? Unlikely. It could’ve helped immensely when dealing with these 2 turrets. My initial, gut-instinct ideas never ended very well.
I can't wait for Spielberg to remake and re-release Saving Private Ryan with the characters taking no damage

In my game he didn’t, so it actually felt kinda chilling.
I'm not a big fan. The animation was good, but considering the fact that there are more than 20 games in the franchise and this one is 3 years old, you'd think they'd have it down to a science by now. This level of glitchiness in a new game franchise would be bad, but when it's a 4 year old game that was preceded by 15 other renditions of what is basically the exact same game, it's just ridiculous.
@@ZedF86
I don't even think it's a bug, I think it's just the game clearing unnecessary models to free up space. Still- they could have prioritised the characters like this, over the off-screen and the non-display ones. It really ruins the impact of it.

Mission, like how he was saying. You go left your die you go right you die you wait you get rushed and die and people also come from behind you. Can You Beat Doom Eternal without Glory Kills, Flame Belch or Chainsaw? You can only use the resources present in the levels to survive. Glory Kills are allowed against bosses seeing as you can't kill them nay other way. The tutorials can be disabled so no worries about those. Although you use glory kills to restore Blood Punch, if you are given Blood Punch you can use them no problem.

“I avoid driving tanks in battlefield for a reason”
*immediately shoots teammate*
That made me laugh so hard lmao
“Battle of the bulge was one of the most deadliest battles in the war, with over 150,000 casualties”
The battle of Stalingrad had over 2.8 MILLION
Eastern front? What Eastern front?
No but seriously, this is actually a good example of how much American history tends to emphasize the importance of the western front compared to the Eastern. I always understood that the battle of the bulge and D-day were the 2 most important battles in the European theater and just kind if knew that the soviet union was off in the war but never really understood just how significant their contributions were.
I'm also obviously ignoring the Japanese side of things but whatever.
Well it's almost unfair to talk about the battle of Stalingrad as a single battle. It took a while.
Congrats to the soviets for having an incompetant military staff and a disregard for human life surpassed only by the actual Nazis, but the battle of the bulge was considerably more strategically important than Stalingrad was considering it marked the literal endgame of the war
He didn't claim it was the most deadly, just one of them... and I think he said that more for setup for "its christmas, and my gift is a sniper rifle"
Emphasis on "one of the most."
He specifically did not say, "the most."
Calm down, you tankie queers.

people hate this game but I genuinely loved it, coming home from school and grinding for a golden lee was fun. The story was also fun and the fact that it was a cod game about ww2 nerded me out.
Prediction before watching: maybe but the amount of cutscenes and lack of actually playing the game is going to make you wish it wasn't at the beginning.
Oh wow. A ww2 hater. How original
@@strisselstudios3932 Well, it's shit
@@strisselstudios3932 Dude, I played my good share of WW2 MP. I used to have a good amount of fun killing people with the gas grenades, semtexes (honestly explosive throwing knives is a better description), molotovs, all with the expeditionary bonuses (especially the equipment painting bonus) and fuse reduction perk like a degenerate on players camping, players on an objective, or even on players just running around normally. Pistols were also pretty fun to use especially with Shifty and a Tactical Knife. But I really disliked the campaign. There were too many cutscenes and moments where gameplay just ceases. I get trying to be cinematic and telling a story but there is a point where it is simply too much. This also causes challenges and replaying the game to be worse imo because it gets in the way of what you actually want to do which is play the game. All in all, I don't hate the game and I liked it when I played it, but I'm not going to pretend like this is a great CoD game. I'd say it is decent, but not great.
The thing that i respected you for Paul is you never sold out to a sponsor

"No war has had an impact on our civilization the way that WW2 has" true to an extent, but consider that the Roman Empire would likely never have happened if they had not won the Punic wars, and Latin would not be the base language for most of western civilization. I mean the Punic wars had over a million men involved, the next time that happened was the Napoleonic wars.
Yeah, but WWII did see the most loss of human life by FAR and also introduced the atomic bomb. Yunno, that weapon that, for the first time, made it possible for mankind to completely destroy themselves as a species.
