Can You Beat Fallout: New Vegas With Only Bean Bag Rounds? (in text form)
Guns will be the primary skill to focus on. Bean bag rounds by definition cannot be lethal, which means pumping up my gun Skill can’t hurt anyone. Your skill with a firearm is derived from your Agility and Luck, every gymnast knows that. Intelligence will help with the learning of the shotgun, the ability to speak won’t matter in a few minutes so Charisma is a dump, and for my skills I chose Guns, Barter and, here comes the odd ball, Speech. I’m not talking my way out of anything. There’s one specific skill check that needs a 20 in speech to pass. Traits are weird. I wanted to pick Gifted and one of the Skilled traits to see what the combination of effects would be with them both. In the 10 or so seconds I tried to think through it I made negative progress. Then I thought maybe take Trigger Discipline and Steady Aim Pro to spice up the gunplay a little. I eventually settled on Skilled, duh, and Bloody Mess, got off the couch, and set foot outside for the first time.
You saw this coming 3 years away, I need Bean Bag Rounds before I can do anything resembling a Bean Bag Round only play through. Chet didn’t stock any in stock and there aren’t a ton of places to find them. The Fallout Wiki doesn’t have a list of locations for finding Bean Bag rounds like it does for most weapons and ammo types and ned’s declassified wasteland survival guide only mentions them one time, I was in uncharted terrirtory. With nowhere else to turn, the Gun Runners seemed like a safe choice. This is standard pacifist stuff I’ll skim through it: what you’re gonna wanna do is pas through Hidden Valley, try to lure the baby rad scorpions to Black Mountain, avoid the Deathclaws by cuddling with the mountain, discover Repconn, arrive at Camp McCarren just in time to instigate a conflict, and find my brother trapped behind the glass. If he’s in a good mood or God is smiling on your wallet, he’ll have at least a few Bean Bags back there with him (steal them). This time he had 19 which cost me 76 currency. Before testing the usefulness of my beans, I wanted more. That 5% damage number was still lingering in the back of my mind and I’d need more ammo anyway. Every gun does an amount of damage that can be modified by skills, chems, armor, perks, ammo type, and probably other stuff I’m leaving out. For example, A 9mm Pistol does lets say 25 damage with normal bullets. Hollow points might make it do 25% more damage against unarmed targets and 75% against those in armor. Bean Bags take that concept and kicks its f*cking teeth in. Bean Bags rounds make your gun do 5% of the damage it usually would. Fractions are tough, if you’re still confused, I get it. Worry not, the consequences of bean bags existing will be felt soon enough.

Here's a killer, FNV but you can only move with Anti-Material Rifle pushback. The rifle when hip fired pushes the player back, so using that to move is a sanity killer. You can add it to your inventory with infinite ammo or whatever to start the challenge because it would be impossible otherwise.

I loved that ammo glitch on console! When you went to lonesome road I was really hoping you'd find it, but the laser detonator is technically a rapid fire pistol that doesn't use ammo, so you can use the glitch to put any ammo type (my top pick is missiles) in it and use it completely rapid fire infinitely

This is just a video suggestion I came up with but I think it’s a pretty good one
“Can You Beat ‘Fallout: New Vegas’ As A Securitron?”
You would be going for the Mr House ending because, you’re a Securitron
Rules: You are only allowed to use a 9mm Machine Gun and a Gatling Laser, with no healing, aside from doctors, (Since MkI Securitrons can’t use their auto-repair system) for the first part of the play through.
Once you upgrade the Securitrons to MkII, you can also use a missile launcher of any kind, a grenade launcher, and the previous 2 weapons, you can now also heal yourself with sleeping, stimpaks, etc.
It has to specifically be a 9mm submachine gun

Bean bag rounds have a legit use in New Vegas but it's fairly situational. They'll knock enemies uncocious for a while, giving you a chance to focus on either other enemies or get an easy free kill. Usually useful when it takes less bean bag rounds to knock someone out then it takes normal rounds to kill someone, which depends on how much fatigue damage they can soak up.
the infinite skill check with chet does work actually, talk to joe cobb when hes leaning on his building, kill oringo then talking to cobb again then kill him after progressing the quest to where you can actually do the check

You can only
1) Use only crafted weapons/crafted armor.
2) Sell everything except chems, misc items and your crafted weapons.
3) Can only buy/collect materials to craft things. Everything else must be dumped.
4) All points must go to barter, repair and survival.
But Im not done yet! Can only wear a suit because a true business man won’t wear shoddily made metal armor.

Maybe with a special plugin but normally if you're being chased by cops you have to lose them before you can proceed
Should check out some videos of people doing this, it gets wild. Seen riot% as well, plugins used to make it possible during certain missions make it possible, but it's still near impossible without trial and error.

If I recall the laser detonator is pretty solid for the ammo glitch.
I remember back in the xbox 360 days using the ammo glitch to fire streams of endless rockets using the laser detonator- the MF Breeder effect means you'll never have to reload or run out of ammo as long as you've got at least one round.
That’s a great exploit. I knew I could find a use for the laser detonator after lonesome road.

Now that he has addressed the ammo glitch, we need to see a Laser Detonater/Timed Mininuke playthrough. It gets difficult because the explosion throws undetonated mini nukes everywhere
He has to use big kid ammo though
I pulled the infinite xp thing off once, I'm pretty sure it goes:
1 talk cob into taking over the shithole
2 murder cob and his gang
3 level up as much as you want (time consuming as fuck) and have chet spawn ammo and leather armor for years
It works very well, and if you wanted to you can make a dummy character that you can use to skip the opening, already leveled up to around 30, and the kicker is some perks don't get taken away after you rebuild.
If your insane and/or a being of unholy amounts of patience doing this exploit BEFORE you get the chance to redo your character and pick the option to rebuild yourself (not the visual one that works as normal) you can get the levels back again and get double the perks you had the first go around..... this is why whenever I start a new game of new vegas I listen to podcasts and get to level 50 so as to get x2 perks..... its rather busted and fun if you dojt mind skipping all leveling the full game
^^^TLDR get double perks by doing it before you leave and rebuild character

@@MultiGreenwood No, but you can get them from the first dispenser located right next to ED-E at the beginning of the dlc. The entrance to LR is right by Primm, so it should be pretty easy not to kill anything until you got the grenades.
