Bigger awards for commercial truck than private vehicles.
You see the four wheelers were there for pleasure and the truckers were there for business and getting payed at the time of a crash, so that what the actual reason it's obvious.
So add this state to the list of states who shouldn’t be getting their shit from independent carriers. He’s going to get blamed… WE are going to get blsned because it’s big business in taking drivers and carriers to court 💰
This is crazy and sad. I drive for a living. Foggy roads are extremely dangerous and difficult too drive in. But because of limited parking maybe it was no place to stop early that day
What is the web address for the load board at the end?
Here is something politicians should be looking into stopping!!!!
Trident trucking driver admitted having Lithuania based ELD company resetting his log books. Listed team driving stated he had dropped off the second driver there was never a second driver. Maybe nobody else in that accident had broken that law.
They need a scapegoat
They should be suing those refineries on the 61 cause that’s where the smoke was forming in the first place.
Some things will never change!
I got a personal ticket today for my company not paying the kyu tax for the 4th quarter. It's impossible for me as a driver to check it! They gave me an hour to get a hold of someone it took 1 hour and 30 minutes to get it paid. The were gonna impound my hazmat loaded truck over 800 bucks. They gave me a ticket I gotta go to court over something I have no idea about.
Exactly why next week is my final day in the industry brother. Life goes on but too hell with these regulations and everything man
That’s it I’m dusting off the old CB radio if I can figure out how to connect the dinosaur
Is anyone know where I can get a job driving trucks I have my CDL since December 2022 I got a job with Swift immediately after and 3 1/2 months later I was terminated because I got three preventable accidents.. no actual accidents just an incident with a bridge and my trailer and the other two were me rolling in grass at the shipper.. im looking to run otr or what ever I just need more experience. I have an additional 6 months of tractor trailer experience with my current job.. any help?
I remember Alex when I used to tell my students when they got your CDL‘s you always remember you got that thing right between your eyes you better make sure that you’re right all the time are they gonna blame you😎💯🚛
Former Professional Driver and Certified State Instructor, Th CB has always been the eye that can see around the corners etc. With so many foreigners now on the road the CB has been less effective. There can be no fore warning as we had before. I don`t know what the conditions were at that time so any other comments cannot be said.
Triying to blame foreiners of someting is not a solution, but we need to watch about what we talk about on cb"s
Common sense if visibility is low you go slow and keep more distance
Foreign or not if you have a CB you should know to turn it on and pay attention when then weather or road conditions change even when we went to Quebec everyone could figure out from the tone of the conversation that you had trouble ahead and to make changes to your driving and pay attention
👿 That's right. Blame the driver!!! Civil Liabilities.
Low visibility? Simple, as a trucker myself if the posted speed limit is 60mph you drop down to 45mph with your hazard on! And proceed with caution
You know that if someone hits you from behind for going too slow, you can be blamed for that too.
That was the longest "Hi" I've ever heard.
They are making an example out of him.
I really hate this war against truck drivers
If I was that trucker, I would counter sure the State of Louisiana for failure of closing the road down, adding signs saying foggy conditions ahead, accidents ahead, and that you were not the instigator of the original crash! BS!
There’s not just an individual man to go after, there is also a company behind that man and that’s why they’re going after him.
The govt holds truckers resonible with thier inspections but who holds the state accountable for safe roads? It’s a double standard and money grab
And I bet because it happened in the United States, no one had their flashers on the warn the drivers behind. It's crazy to me that every time there is a slow down or stopped traffic on the highway, no one uses their flashers.
Trucking is a big responsibility.
The commercial insurance, that’s why, THATS WHY!!
98% of the time a truck driver is blamed if a big truck is involved.
I think you need to sue the state for selective prosecution
I want to see the dash cams. Why would it be his fault if, others crashed behind him?
They crashed infront of him and behind him, but he was going 60 mph in deep fog
He's to being blamed/charged for causing the pile up. He's being charged for running into a stopped vehicle and killing a man. He was driving too fast for current road conditions. He was doing 60 mph and reports are that the fog was so thick that there was only ten feet of visibility. Can you stop your truck within ten feet at sixty mph?
Your not suppose to stop on a highway
They're using this as a Spring board to attack truck drivers even further.
When a doctor messes up during surgery it's not even a criminal offense. A truck driver messes up in a complete accident and they get charges.
60 mph with visibility of 10 feet. Is that how you drive?
Doctor messing up is malpractice you can see if you’re still alive. 😂
@@improvisedsurvival5967 Yeah but they aren't held criminally responsible until it reaches insane levels and usually they just get their license eventually removed if its too extreme.
@@stefanpuffer No, I'm chicken if there's fog I'm chilling in the nearest rest area personally 😁 If it comes suddenly I slow way down and put my hazards on hoping no one rams me from behind.
So all 168 drivers need the same charges!! All were going too fast for conditions!!
How do we get this s load board?
At 6:10 life insurance ?
Who for ?
How does life insurance benefit the truck driver ?
Really need federal law if it can be proven a lawyer is going after a truck driver or company just because they got money the case needs to be thrown out. Really needs to be law if driver not at fault then lawyers can not sue the driver or Trucking company for any amount of money. Should be federal law!!!!
6:25 There’s those Freight Brokers have Earned Bashing.
If it was foggy why is he going fast? Take the vehicle he hit out of the equation. Would he have crashed into the accident that was there? A driver shouldn't be going the speed limit in heavy fog. The responsibility falls on the driver to be able to stop his rig in time in whatever weather.
