What would that do? I’ve worked my entire life as a union worker and can’t see what that would accomplish other than having “union management” fuck it up and figure out ways to steal it. And a Governor or any other government official from the president on down CANNOT “freeze” bank accounts, homes, NOTHING without a court order and because they don’t don’t deliver product is not grounds to do so if they tried. I was a truck driver, company and owner operator. I got sick from covid in 2020 and was very close to kicking. Got better, got home from 2 months in hospital and have no plans to ever drive again. I am 64 and am still on disability. I can't go up a flight of stairs without losing my breath.

One I drove and four I had the same drivers until I retired. Glad I did. Everything these guys are saying is true. Forbid one should breakdown with engine problems. I’m 70 now. So I drove when you could afford too. BTW aim a Lady Trucker. I’ve been from Houston to New Jersey to Rumford Main to Washington to California. I had the best friends on the road. Anytime I have damage food freight, I've traded ice cream for a pizza at the Flying J, called up a food bank ,the area was big so they tailgates the pallet. And I also called a orphanage,meet the woman in a Walmart parking lot. She loaded up her car.

I'm a security guard that spent a lot of time with truckers. I can always refuse to work somewhere that I don't want to work at. 90% of the time this company has at least one other account to work at that will be better for me. I can volunteer to pick up extra hours at another place, and if I find out they need a guard there, I can say that from now on I am working there as I refuse to go back to the old place. I talk to other guards, and they warn me not to go to certain accounts. There's always ways to avoid working in cities that are bad for your safety and finances without having to make sacrifices and directly fighting with the politicians.
I worked in an area where you could not ask anything BUT- I would ask how many guards or players have guarded that place in the last year? THere answer told me everything whether to go there or not,

I'm retired from truck driving after 35 years, the only time I went to the northeast was as a company driver, when I bought my own I stayed out of the northeast and California. Freight going in pays OK but freight coming out sucks, and the fuel prices and tolls take all the profit. I made a good living staying in the middle of the country.
The insurance is going up for everyone including regular cars. Mine just went up $63 month for no reason. I called and asked and they said it was not because of anything I did. It is because the insurance companies are paying out more than they bring in so they have to raise the rates. It is bullshit. Also some companies are not even excepting you if you have a low credit rating or you use the state minimums. You have to be at 100,000/200,000 limit for the past year or they will not except you as a new customer.
Some people think the Governor did say that. I don’t know for sure if the Governor said it or not. What I do know is a lot of the politicians in New York act unfairly and have no regard to the people or the business ofNew York.

As the wife of a trucker, these threats ( that are sometimes fake news and sometimes a warning of what's to come) are constant and reap havoc on the lives of those willing to work ungodly hours, in ungodly conditions to make sure ALL people have the convenience of walking into a store and shopping stocked shelves. I’ve had regular auto insurance with State Farm for nearly four decades. My wife hit a steel trash can that was blown out in a highway and it did $2500 in damage to her car. We filed a claim and got it fixed after not having any claims in over a decade. The next insurance bill we got there was a sir charge on it for about $25 if I remember right. I called my agent and asked what that was about and the reply was “Oh you have to pay us back for that claim and this sir charge will be on your bill until you pay back the full amount”. I’ve also had all the increases every one else has experienced. If we’ve got to pay back a claim what the hockey sticks am I paying insurance for?

One I drove and four I had the same drivers until I retired. Glad I did. Everything these guys are saying is true. Forbid one should breakdown with engine problems. I’m 70 now. So I drove when you could afford too. BTW aim a Lady Trucker. I’ve been from Houston to New Jersey to Rumford Main to Washington to California. I had the best friends on the road. Insurance costs r thru the roof! As a truck driver at 49 yrs old, things r tough right now so I am going WITHOUT health insurance. The premiums we pay have gone up so high that we r forced 2 go Without health insurance! Without trucks, America and Canada stops!

Anytime I have damage food freight, I've traded ice cream for a pizza at the Flying J, called up a food bank ,the area was big so they tailgates the pallet. And I also called a orphanage,meet the woman in a Walmart parking lot. She loaded up her car.

I'm a security guard that spent a lot of time with truckers. I can always refuse to work somewhere that I don't want to work at. 90% of the time this company has at least one other account to work at that will be better for me. I can volunteer to pick up extra hours at another place, and if I find out they need a guard there, I can say that from now on I am working there as I refuse to go back to the old place. I talk to other guards, and they warn me not to go to certain accounts. There's always ways to avoid working in cities that are bad for your safety and finances without having to make sacrifices and directly fighting with the politicians.

I worked in an area where you could not ask anything BUT- I would ask how many guards or players have guarded that place in the last year? THere answer told me everything whether to go there or not,

Gov. Hochul does not have the legal authority to seize anyone's property. But, these people, including her are showing us where their hearts are. If and when they get the power to do so, THEY WILL. They are working on that now. How much more craziness would it take to get to marshal law? What happens this fall? No matter who is "declared" the winner, the other side is not going to accept the results. Dangerous times indeed.

I'm retired from truck driving after 35 years, the only time I went to the northeast was as a company driver, when I bought my own I stayed out of the northeast and California. Freight going in pays OK but freight coming out sucks, and the fuel prices and tolls take all the profit. I made a good living staying in the middle of the country.

The insurance is going up for everyone including regular cars. Mine just went up $63 month for no reason. I called and asked and they said it was not because of anything I did. It is because the insurance companies are paying out more than they bring in so they have to raise the rates. It is bullshit. Also some companies are not even excepting you if you have a low credit rating or you use the state minimums. You have to be at 100,000/200,000 limit for the past year or they will not except you as a new customer.
Some people think the Governor did say that. I don’t know for sure if the Governor said it or not.
What I do know is a lot of the politicians in New York act unfairly and have no regard to the people or the business ofNew York.

As the wife of a trucker, these threats ( that are sometimes fake news and sometimes a warning of what's to come) are constant and reap havoc on the lives of those willing to work ungodly hours, in ungodly conditions to make sure ALL people have the convenience of walking into a store and shopping stocked shelves. I’ve had regular auto insurance with State Farm for nearly four decades. My wife hit a steel trash can that was blown out in a highway and it did $2500 in damage to her car. We filed a claim and got it fixed after not having any claims in over a decade. The next insurance bill we got there was a sir charge on it for about $25 if I remember right. I called my agent and asked what that was about and the reply was “Oh you have to pay us back for that claim and this sir charge will be on your bill until you pay back the full amount”. I’ve also had all the increases every one else has experienced. If we’ve got to pay back a claim what the hockey sticks am I paying insurance for?
