A few things for you I wanted to mention. - We are working on more fixes/updates for things like gauges taking a minute to load randomly and monitor staying on randomly. Also, Mileage Coach software will be added but we wanted to get the main features out first then update with those other features. Thanks for the ideas on the power off button and Bluetooth/wifi to phone for photos. We have heard of those and put them in a wish list from customers to see what is possible down the road. Lastly, the EFI SOTF for Cummins is more an intellectual property concern with EFI and us. We tried to work with them and things didn't work out right so we are not able to do it that way.

Will the CTS3 leave a foot print in my 2020 F350 Ford dealer will see? I am just looking for a Monitor at this point. They saw the my CTS2 obviously because it is a tuner as well. I had a great experience with this unit BTW 👍🏻. Thank you
Thank you for an honest review.I just bought my first deisel 3 weeks ago.I got a 2006 Ram 2500 5.9 So far I removed factory exhaust and replaced with a 4 " magnaflow.Installed an S&B cold air intake and an edge evolution cts3 we first hooked it to the truck and the truck wouldn't crank Finally got the truck to factory reset.We went to work and started over dealing with edge tech support which were no help at all.My son finally was able to get it working but now I'm afraid to mess with anything.I love it because I only have factory guages now I can see more.
I have a set of the glow shift gauges and even with them set to night mode they are pretty blinding at night. I contemplated putting a switch in to just shut them off at night.
I believe the reason the ct3 is $399 VS the cts2 $729 is the evolution is a tuner, not just a monitor like the cts3 insight. I'd much rather have the 3 but wanted a tuner
U can unlock the cts3 with the addition of some addon components to be capable of loading tunes essentially making it and evolution but can't say for certain if it purely for custom tunes/calibration only or if u have the ability to use edges generic preprogrammed tunes I believe it's called the edge revolver is the addon to make ur insight cts3 load tunes
@@Cargill450 yea unfortunately at a not so pretty price tag there boost sensor EAS is kinda a joke retail price for it using all the same parts including the same isspro sensor they use delphi 3pin and more wire then needed for uder 90-95 and that's buying buying singles so u know buying bulk at wholesale thier cost is a hell of alot cheaper.
The one thing I did because I knew the eas boost setup was going to be so much, I went with a 10 bar map sensor to get an accurate boost reading and it gave my tuner more data to make a better file.

I'm contemplating on the Edge CTS3 but I've read so many bad reviews... not only on the Edge website but also on numerous other dealer websites... I'm curious to know if you still feel the same about this product now that some time has passed??? Any "Insight" would help... Thanks man!!
So for me it's great, yes it has its moments where it does some stupid stuff buy the data is there, it reacts quick when it's not messing up and the screen is alot nicer to have on at night compared to the cts 2. So I am still happy with it but at the same time I do feel like they could have done a little better, the cts2 has features that the cts3 doesn't have, nothing serious but the mileage coach that the cts2 had was fun to have at times. They are actively working on fixing the bugs but I'm guessing they didn't expect so many.
@@Cargill450 maybe you could give me some insight (pun intended) Got an issue- been running a raceme eco tune for about 7 months now with no issues. Defaults timing default trans settings. I just got my edge cts3 insight these last couple days. Set up the monitor yesterday and had my first drive with the truck to work today. When getting onto the highway Truck seemed to be completely gutless and would not up shift past fourth if I wasn’t going faster than maybe 50mph, rpm would sit around 2500 rpm. Any ideas if the monitor is interfering with the tune or maybe something else? I have a 400 mile road trip Saturday and need this truck asap
Would this monitor be worthwhile on a stock(no plans to tune) 2019 ram 3500 H.O. currently towing a fifth wheel occasionally. Btw I like your reviews, not too many out there especially for the rams. Oh,, and your truck looks awsome,

I would say absolutely, the big thing for me with these diesel trucks is knowing what is going on with them even if they are stock, for instance even a pulling a pass with a stock truck and a trailer can go bad pretty quick. It would be good to be able to watch coolant temp, trans temp and egt and setting the alerts accordingly, also with the new trucks like yours you can watch regen data so you know what its doing

So far you're the only one with real time experience that I've heard from who owns a ram. Thanks for the info, and if you could show us a video of it working in a real time sutuation. Ie driving unloaded and under different scenarios.
Thanks for sharing mine does it too with it turning on after it shut off it happened 3 times to me and it had froze on me like 8 times had to unplug it then connect it again i agree efi live would be nice to switch on the CTS3 also.would have been nice for edge to throw in the back up camera adapter for free when they release it I do love it though nice upgrade from the cts2 thanks again for sharing your review
I really appreciate that, that update that I did in the video was actually a pretty big one so hopefully some of those problems are fixed but no disrespect to edge but these are the joys of running the first batch products, I know they did alot of R&D on the thing but you never know what might pop up once they hit the streets
Some do and some don't, I believe there is an add on that allows you to change tunes but I'm more of a fan of having the 5 position switch in the truck
Im having a problem changing the colors under theme settings. Every time i change the bar color or any of the other choices i have a option to hit back or customize then save. When i hit either the color goes straight to black EVERY-TIME. It has worked before but all the sudden has started doing this. Do you have any suggestions or heard about this issue?
Can you please explain how to hook up to WiFi hotspot on phone. I tried with 3 different phones for about a hour and it kept saying error on the monitor
Tow mirrors are out. Every time I see a Ram unloaded and not towing with their tow mirrors out, I want to chase them down and smack them with a fly swatter. Solid video though!
Haha yea I understand that one, I had them down for a really long time but after running them up for a little bit I found that I can see alot better with them up. It used to pass me off to see people who left them up but honestly I get it now.
I run with them up while not towing, and down while not towing. One: the frog mirror is in the wrong spot, and I can barely see to the end of the bed. Two, with them down, I can see where my trailer's wheels are in turns, etc. I don't need to see the top of my trailer, there's nothing up there, and I know how high it is. Just my opinion, but I know some people wig out over mirrors being up.

I have never had a set but have been around them a little bit, I could see them being too bright.

First thing I would do is check for updates on your monitor then go from there, if you update it and it still doesn't work let me know
