I have one and it sucks! Hardly ever connects! When I update it will change my pids and I have to reset them all if I can even get it to connect to my truck. I wish i could send it back. Too late now. I have a 2006 duramax.
Nice video! I just got a new one of these for my 2004 F350 6.0 and it seems to freeze quite often and can you turn it on and the display says loading gauges but it never does. The screen stays frozen. I did a update but it didn’t help. So far I am not impressed and I may demand my money back and go with something else. Have you heard of anyone else having this problem?
So I’m going to say it’s $399 getting what ur paying for . Remember the iPhone 3 and 4s. They are very sluggish and slow compared to today’s devices. My point is it’s in the processor. $399 it does not have a good processor in it they averaged a cost to sell they thought we would buy. They could have made just the plug into the truck and Bluetooth to modern phones and it would handle the data & interface much much faster. In fact I’m waiting for that instead of corded models for my 2021 HD high country. It could link to a iPhone or iPad screen size be up to us be amazing. I’ve seen some off brands doing this but reviews are more smaller gas engines not diesel. But it save them a ton of money in chip cost not selling displays. Unless you want it then purchase it.
What, no oil pressure option? I did notice you changed a PID to Boost. You should swap spots with transmission gear, put the egt and boost together. IMO. Nice vid Denny. I enjoy your stuff. One other thing, is it just the video, or do you have some serious drone?
Thanks man. You can either do WiFi or hook the cable up that came with the edge to the laptop then go to edges site and download the update software and do it that way

You even mentioned it in the video I'm just telling you how mine works. Regardless they're decent units I enjoy mine. If you have more stuff on it than it comes with right from the box than it's obviously going to slow down a bit. Like anything with a set amount of memory.
Edge cts3 is the biggest pile of shit hands down. It’ll freezes every time I switch tunes on my 6.7 Cummins shop said they have 0 answers just shit product

I’ve had the same issue and recently updated, and no changed it still freezes or the screen is completely black.
Do you know if there’s a shop in Texas that I can go to get a 2020 l5p deleted and tuned

What Egt do for follow. I have a 22 and all I can find is a handful of Egt banks but can’t find info on which one is closest to the manifold?
For the EGTs did you have to drill in the probe or will it read factory probe? I’m reading conflicting things.

Plug the edge into your truck go under settings connect to WiFi then go back and click update and you’re good to go
Denny Diesel got it working. My egt is at the manifold I’m assuming it’s from factory how hot does yours get? My egt1 post turbo must be unplugged
Always do manifold egt don’t worry about the rest
I had the 2 and it was terrible. It only lasted a year and was very slow.
I got the same one brand new freezes and while gauge is on it gos back to setting so I have to unplug it ever 5 minutes
You need to update the device and everything will work properly

The edge cts3 is a monitor nothing more updating the edge won’t affect anything else on the truck

Yes, if you want to view the data it has to be plugged in. It's just monitoring real-time.
Does this show oil temp? Is it just plug in and it works? Trying to find something for more info on my 2020 Duramax.
As far as I know it doesn’t read oil temp as of yet they have to come out with an update to take care of that

These trucks have an exhaust brake not a Jake brake. A Jake brake opens exhaust valves they never had this setup in a pickup truck
