I’m 22 and enjoy watching your videos! Learning from someone who definitely knows what their talking about
Great video!!
Thanks Dude, I’m an old guy with really no clue how this stuff works as far as mapping goes. I know for sure it’s dumping more fuel. I really dropped the Edge tuner in my 24 valve Cummins second gen just to give me a little more jam for dragging my fifth wheel. Don’t want to race it or blow it up just haul stuff. It is really cool technology. When I set it on 2 it performs exactly how I had hoped up the hills. Dropped a new Rad from Mishimoto and an Ram Air from Banks. As with all trucks a guy has to stay on top of issues before things break or wear out. Love your ride stay safe out their on God’s green Eath
Thanks for the comment, all true points. When you want to try out custom tuning for the 2024 Cummins, give us a call!
I’m 23 and love your videos!
I have watched over a dozen vidios about this Edge. I knew I wanted/needed it, but you are the only person that really explained what it does. THANK YOU!!!
Another great video!! I keep the EGT in the middle of my CTS monitor as well. Just wished there was an oil temp PID for my Ram 2500.
Nick, please do a video on the fact that if the customer purchases the transmission tune, that they need to flash for the transmission and ECM tunes independently. I wasn’t aware of that and I had my Allison slipping in 4th and getting stuck in 4th.
Could you explain at what temp the trucks backs off power? Can you explain what vain position should be etc?
I'm rebuilding my 1976 d200 and swapping in a cummins 12 valve with a custom dash and trying to figure out what I should all monitor besides the basics especially since these will be a must for diagnosing issues without any computers/minimal electrical
We'd say it's dependent on what you are utilizing the vehicle for. If it's going to tow a lot follow the guidelines in this video.
can the cts3 be ran on top of the AEM AFR OBDII gauge using the AEm passthrough plug?
2022 l5p. What should monitor?
Damn!,you use to work for CSI cause you profiled me.49 yr truck driver. Lol
What is DREG in bottom right corner?? I did a manual regen and DREG is 7 miles now and going up. What does it mean?? Anyone can answer and is it important gauge? Your Video is the BEST explaining the unit and which PIDs are important towing.
Miles since last regeneration seems right. Give EDGE a holler too to verify.
Good stuff. I would argue one point, though. Yes, gauges haven't evolved since 1990, but IMO modern trucks are so sophisticated that the computer will likely detect and take action on any potentially detrimental condition before the driver does. May not apply if you're running garbage tunes. The 'curiosities' factor is def a thing, though.
Detrimental yes, but gauges generally help you avoid those situations before things get detrimental and hey, curiosity is enough for me.
do you have a video for cts3
Thank you for this video! I have a CTS3 in a 2023 Silverado 3500 and can not find the Soot PID. Where did you find it on yours?
@TimDuncklee Check under Advanced/Additional PIDS. If it's not under one of those two I'm not completely sure where it would be.
Explain EGT1 and EGT4 please . Sorry if I missed in the video.
A stock LML has multiple exhaust gas temperature probes. They are called EGT1, EGT2, EGT3, EGT4 and located throughout the exhaust system. ‘1’ is closest to the engine and usually warmest. It’s located in the downpipe. 4 is closest to the tail pipe. 2 and 3 are pre and post DPF. They’re used to manage DPF temp during regen.
I have desired fuel rail pressure on my edge cts2 on my '13 LML.
Nice
Diff. Oil temp?
The Video I requested! Woot woot! Also I’m 26. Tell RUclips to shut up lol
Lml, stock trans, tie rod sleeves. No lift. What boost do you recommend launching with in 4hi
5-10psi should be plenty for you.
@@Duramaxtuner sweet been doing it at 10 psi on street unprepped 200hp tune w/ supporting mods but going to track first time with this truck in a couple weeks. The podcast is what led me to lmls thank you guys
Hey Nick, I'm trying to find the engine oil temp on my cts3 for the lly. I called your shop, and he said it's in the monitor, but i can't find it anywhere.
I’ve also been trying to find that
Can You direct me to a place where someone has upgraded tunes for a CT3 for a 06 Dodge? does Edge allow programmers to modify their product and sell it?
They do not. Maybe give EDGE can help with finding a tuner using CTS3.
What about EZLYNK? Any tips there?
Same theory applies to EZ Lynk
👍😎 l almost bought, went looking for a c.t.s.3 last week, found out quickly that there are many variations, starting at $300.00 up to $1,500.00 , is there a difference? or were there 🤔 sellers trying to profit more than others? I have a L.B.Z. 6-SPEED ALLISON, can you direct me to the right c.t.s.3 model? if in fact there are different models. I will be doing compounds with a built trans, l want a c.t.s. 3 that will expand with my upgrades, Thanks for all your help and work, your vidio's are great Nick! 👍Thank's in advance for answering my question. Awesome work and results 👏, 👌✌🏼💙👋
Unless you’re using it to tune your truck, the basic model is all you need. duramaxtuner.com/edge-insight-cts2.html
Thanks!
I have been looking for a gauge pack for my 2008 ram 2500, been considering this for a sometime
Get the cts3. It's the best monitor I've ever used. You won't regret it.
@@cdsmit27 thank you.
Why not run manifold egts?
If your truck is equipped with s sensor then by all means use it. We’ve done enough logging on LMLs over the years to know how post turbo egts correspond to manifold temps so I don’t feel it necessary to add a probe in the manifold. -Nick
The Gear/TCL Pid is grayed out on my LBZ. 😒
Possibly a TCM issue. Any other symptoms?
@@Duramaxtuner With the trans? Not that I'm familiar enough to say other than an occasional flare on the 3-4 shift.
