Love your videos, my dad grew up on a dairy and helped milk til I was about 8 yrs old. Watching you work brings back really good memories. When I’m 15-17 I want a small job on a dairy farm just like what you have on your farm. Seems fun with the satisfaction of seeing what you work hard to complete actually get done. ✅ Edit: for everyone saying stay in school, thanks I do appreciate it but I’m a city kid and I’ve never seen and area like this in person or experienced something like it so that’s why.

Have you tried a leaf hopper resistant variety of alfalfa? I had lots of leaf hopper issues in NJ on our alfalfa. We were certified organic so spraying wasn't really viable. I had King's agriseed custom mix my pasture and hay seed mixes with leaf hopper resistant alfalfa and whatever else I was putting in there. Seemed to help, just a thought. They're awful when they get out of control.

Where do you get your molasses from Eric? I live in South Louisiana where they farm a lot of sugarcane and there are only a few sugar mills left. Even though cane molasses is a by-product of making granulated white sugar, it's still rather expensive in smaller quantities down here. About 5 bucks for a quart. They opened up a distillery a few years ago in Lacassine Louisiana using cane molasses to make rum. Judging by the amount of molasses you go through in the videos I've seen, your cows should be plenty happy!
