Fully custom coach designed and built by Wolf Dog Buses in Sedro-Woolley, Washington.
Inside this 2007 Thomas Built Bus you will find all the creature comforts of a standard home, and so much more.
True off grid capability with 2550 watt solar array, 9600 wh lithium battery bank, and a Victron/Sterling system. This client had sustainability in mind and that's what we delivered! This bus is insulated and equipped with a Webasto diesel heater for the cold months, and a mini split air conditioner for the hot ones!

@@WolfDogBuses Hello WD, stellar build : ) Are there any leaking/condensation problems with those original windows?
@@CindyBarg great question! Any window will have condensation in a small home with people in it breathing.. trick is to have air flowing when cooking (low setting on the max air fan will do) and if you have guests over, cracking the windows a half inch will prevent excessive moisture build up… but ultimately, if you dont, its not a huge deal, because that water will dry, and condensation wont form behind the walls when properly insulated :)
@@CindyBarg as for leaking- we reseal all windows when the client chooses to keep them, they shouldnt leak anytime soon, but when they do (every hole in the bus including all the ones from exterior rivots will leak eventually) we drill small weep holes in each bay under windows to prevent excessive build up in the future.. some newer buses even come with this feature!

That is great design work. I like that you met a client's needs rather than random ideas put together. Nice detail. The only concern is "green". I would like to see backup energy source; if no propane, or what about using water as energy., During a zombie apocolypse and the sky is over cast. No solar. Forrest fire clouds, etc. What then?

That's an amazing build!!!! It's definitely prepped for any form of an apocalypse. Question, if I may, as this is my first time seeing the camera setup; what camera setup did you install that allows you to see the bus from the top, front and I assume the sides and back?

The camera system is Weivision’s 1080P FHD 360 Degree Bird View. There is a camera on the front, rear and both sides of the bus to allow for 360’ monitoring! It utilizes wide angle lenses to splice together the 360 “top-down” view

Love the bus but i hope you fixed the one issue i saw. If your fire extinguisher is near the door then that means that you would have to go through any fire in order to reach it. There needs to also be an extinguisher near your bed to protect you (unless missed one already in place in the back).

So sometime between September(retirement age) and April(youngest turns 18) I am planning to retire and hopefully buy a skoolie that someone else has already built. How much would the build in this video cost in 2023/24 dollars? This build is just AMAZING!

I've watched a lot of bus conversion videos over the last few months and this is by far one of the best! I especially like how the bathroom is behind the kitchen and the shower head is in the tallest part of the bus so you can take a normal shower without a roof raise. There's also loads of space which is amazing.
I do have one question though: was this previously a school bus, or was it an activity bus? I ask because the lack of windows in that middle section on the drivers side as well as the lack of an emergency door are surprising to me. If I were the customer, I would want the windows (and especially the door) on that side to stay in, so I'm wondering if they weren't there to begin with?

This was a school bus and we removed those windows/doors In accordance with what the owners wanted, they were comfortable with the rear emergency exit and wanted wall space to hang family photos 😊
Did the air compressor fitting at rhe windsheild wiper motors is that off of the sir tank of the busses air brakes? I have made this adapter in thw event towing is necessary to connect a compressor to release and use air brakes but way smart to utilize convenietly to plug a hose in for tires etc. and could totally run air tools!

I really enjoyed the tour of this bus, but what about back up heating source or fans to push the air in the bus?
This bus uses a mini split for heat and AC in the summer, and has a webasto diesel heater for a back up heat source in the winter. The owner is also waiting on an insurance policy to allow a mini wood stove to slip in :) There are a total of 4 ceiling fans in this rig to create nice air flow
Please add atmospheric water generator. So common these days but nobody seems to incorporate them? 2 to 4 gallons a day for the small units run off solar is an absolute no brainer... Imagine fresh clean water trickling into your clean tank every single day via solar. Now that is truly "off grid"
Nice build all except the king size bed and having to crawl across it. A king is nice in a house or with a slide out but not in a bus having to crawl across it.
If I was physically able, this would be perfect. Have you done antsy handicapped accessible rigs, Inc water tanks, etc?

Is the front glass a special type of glass, or is it the same as the glass used in common houses? Is it laminated? Tempered? Greetings.
Glass in a vehicle is all specific to code depending on location :)

So many great ideas from your bus build to go into the idea bank when it's time to build my own bus. is there any chance you could tell me where you got that fold down/stow away red and yellow passenger seat from? have been racking my brains how to do that for my wife who gets car sick if she is not sitting right up front but still have it not take up too much room. that is awesome! thanks

That is a Kupet washer/spinner, works great for small laundry loads, and the spin cycle gets things near dry... few more minutes on a line and youre good to go!

What is the cost for your Bus to be Insured yearly or monthly
It is well done. Not so sure how children, young or babies accommodating it is.
Thank you! There are regulation seats in front, one behind the driver's seat to accommodate a child car seat, but the rest of baby proofing is up to the user... this owner only needs to accommodate occasional grandkids :)
