    You need to re-treat in 3 weeks and possibly again 3 weeks after that to make sure all the worms are killed through the life cycle. It's also strongly recommended to do a thorough gravel vacuum after treating for Camallanus worms to get any expelled worms out of the tank so they aren't eaten which will reinfect the fish.

      Yup, that's the plan.

    My Guppy had the Camallanus worms as well when I first got him from my LFS. I had to get some Dewormer flake as well as Levamisole powder. Worked well as well. I dont know the price of that chicken dewormer liquid. I think the powder was like $20 with shipping and all that. Glad you got them taken care of. 👍

      Thank you for your support Viola! It was shipped out this morning. I truly appreciate your trust and support. Please do not go over the recommended dosages. I would even recommend that you administer a 1/2 dose at 1 drop per 2 gallons of water initially. Which is my recommendation for MAINTENANCE dosage monthly. This is a strong wormer and I'd like to hear all the good reports. Remember to subtract water volume taken up by decorations and substrate. Much aloha BOLO

    Sadly, I know a lot of the feral livebearers in our local streams are afflicted wtih camallanus worms. I'm surprised the fenbedazole didn't work. I'm wondering if you used enough because your ramshorns should've died in the process.

    • @HCAqua
      @HCAqua  3 года назад

      Yeah, I've used fenbendazole to treat for hydra, and it had never affected the snails. Maybe Maybe my dose is too low to harm the snails.

    • @ddtruthfinder81
      @ddtruthfinder81 3 года назад

      Theres a med in pet stores I think called expel, maybe that would work, once I had killed off the snails with fenbendazole and most other times not. Yet It did remove the planaria over a 7 day period. If the fenbendazole is effective, it may not kick in till weeks later if not a month.

    I want to confirm that the Everything Aquatic flake does not work, as said by the author of this video. I had used it to treat my guppies for two weeks, feeding only this stuff and they did not get any better. In the end, all died :(
