This method did not work. Please leave a comment if your fish have been battling Camallanus worms and I will provide updated information.

I keep discus mate and are a delicate fish, sorry for your loss and hope you got it sorted . I use fenbendazole ag the rate of 1ml per litre 👌 mix in the water and straight into tank , follow up by API General Cure for ten days . Will fix your worms as it did with my fish 🐠

I have same problem with 2 of my tank 375l and 150l as I been moving fish between tanks I got a lot fish that have this parasite and 10 fish died in past week. Likely I managed odentify before important fish to me got to a point of giving up. Most of my fish do still eat and not losing weight but 80% of fish have that worms sticking out their anuse. I don't know what filtration system you have, remove carbon from media(if external canister filter) as it will clear all medicines out from water. Also if fish not eating better use other medicine that don't go with food. I use anti- fluke&wormer and its seem working as fish become more active and those who wasn't interested in food now are but not eating fully yet. Few worms did come out the fish, that already progress even tho its week 1 of treatment out of 4. Hope you will manage sort it out and there won't be no more deaths in your tank. its not a big problem if treated on time, with right medication and condition. Don't give up on fish keeping... that part of hobby, everything could go smooth and amazing for while then sadenly all go wrong. In my own example I had to start from beginning 3 times lost very expensive fish in past. Currently had no issues in none of my tank for past year then boom sadenly disaster in one of the tanks which followed with this worm parasit.

Thanks for the comment, but this was a while ago, and did end tragically. This is what I do now to treat: ruclips.net/user/shortshZkyCZxoPXc?si=tOeSw7QvFH_YzvaZ

these worms make me sick took out most of my tank. I’m praying the ones I got left didn’t contract it.

      Dang man, best of luck.
Remove substrate and dose levamisole. If I could do it over, that’s the play.

I lost my Pearl from my own 40B a few weeks ago to a nasty mouth infection, and a few other fish and snails to an apparent water quality issue. I'm currently tearing apart the tank and doing a big cleaning/water change.
If I lose more fish I'll probably start over on this tank or take a break and focus on my coldwater species for a while.

Yeah, gosh, no one said it would be this hard :(
Definitely taking a break on the one tank, hoping the 75 doesn’t crash as well.
Edit: you should post clips, bro. I’d love to see the cold water project

@@MattKeepsFish I'll have to clean my room first :) Right now I just have white cloud minnows in my coldwater tank, but if I went all in on that tank I would add shiners and maybe hillstream loaches. I might also try fathead minnows again... I hear they have a really interesting cave-breeding behavior that I never got to see when I had them before.

@@drewzero1 That sounds awesome! Hill stream loaches aren’t that hard to breed. It could be a fun project!
