    Would you play these irons???

    • @jeffjob6995
      @jeffjob6995 Год назад +2

      I PLAY these irons... It's an easier club to hit. I can hit a four iron in these and a 6 iron in a normal "game improvement" iron is the lowest I can go.

      Hi Jeff! I totally get that! They are so easy to hit that I imagine they make longer irons more accessible for more golfers! Love it! Thanks for watching my video and for your comment! 👍🏼

      I play these and I’ve had them for almost 2 years. I’ve gone from 18 to 9 handicap with these.

    I started with buying only a 4 iron. I liked it so much I now have a full set. I’m 65 years old and 25 handicap. These clubs are extremely forgiving and a delight to hit. Not for everyone but they sure have helped me enjoy golf.

      Hi Thomas! Thank you for watching the video and your comment! I suspect that a lot of people will start that way too! Like I mentioned in the video, I first came across them looking for a long iron to transition from my irons to fairway woods and found it great. Like you say, not for everyone but they offer a great option for so many golfers! Thanks again for watching! All the best, Luke

    I have watched quite a few of these reviews and am blown away with how much emphasis is on looks of the club. 90 percent of my shots go right, long iron play stinks. I'm 65 and my brother let me hit his senior shaft Clevelands, would you know started hitting left or straight.
    Can't wait to get a set. Conclusion, "I could give a hoot less what these sticks look like".

      Hi Carter! I do try to address this in the video and hopefully do a good enough job of it, because I’m with you! If the club helps me play better golf then why wouldn’t I use it? I discuss the looks of the clubs in all my videos but think with these ones in particular they are (or should I say were before several manufacturers recently adopted the concept!) unique in their looks so it is the elephant in the room so to speak. But great to hear your experience with them; I’m not surprised, they are great! All the best and thank you for watching and for a great comment! 👍🏼

    I love them, 2 years into golf and just want to enjoy my rounds and not look foolish in front of clients. I could understand the desire for irons with more control capability down the road, but I imagine ill use these for a few years

      Hi Josh! Thanks for watching the video and for your comment! That’s fantastic to hear and I TOTALLY get it! Makes perfect sense. I keep thinking of buying a cheaper second set to keep where my mum lives and these keep appealing for that same reason. Pick up and play and have fun. Love it! Keep enjoying your golf, Luke!

    I have 4i-SW in these. It was a toss-up between the XL Irons and the XL Halo irons. I had purchased a 3 Hy-Wood earlier in the year. That is my go to 195-205 club. I also have the xl driver 5and 3 woods. I have been back and forth with 3 or 5 as 5 wood dips down near the Hy-wood for distance but gives me a different flight and distance close to 3 wood off the Tee. Easier to hit too. The Halo irons after a full season the looks are something to get used to. However I would be playing a 4 and 5 hybrid most likely anyway and the 4i is really a hybrid and 5i pretty close as well. The thing is I hit this very well and the confidence it gives me let me stick a lot of greens a go for the pin a lot. So from that aspect after starting to play again after 18 years at 53, I have to say 👍

      Hi John! Thank you so much for the detailed insight! I think these irons SHOULD appeal to so many types of golfers and your circumstances sound like one of those! I really like them! I’ve just filmed a review of the XL Irons and I must admit I loved them too - I think these two sets might just be the best value game improvement irons out there! I must admit I love a 5 wood too. The extra loft vs my 3 wood is a real confidence booster! Thanks for watching and commenting! All the best, Luke

    I think you hit the nail on the head at the end - these arent designed to add 20 yards when hit out of the middle....they're designed to add 50 yards hit out of the toe. These are hands down the most forgiving irons money can buy imo, and I think in the next 5-10 years you're going to see a lot of the big brand club manufacturers jumping on this bandwagon.

      Hi Curly Bill! Thanks for watching the video and for your kind comment. I totally agree. The best way I can describe it (having hit a 5i in the model a few years back and the 7i in the new model) is that they feel as easy as hitting a PW in normal irons… so forgiving and easy to hit. I’ve not been swinging it great lately and these I think would still make good fun and certainly feel easier to play! All the best, Luke

      Hi Jonathan! I really liked them and think they would make a great set for a holiday home (if I ever get that lucky) so you can just pick up and play! But since filming the video I’ve been fitted for Mizuno irons and I’m loving them! These are still excellent though and so many people would benefit from using them! Thanks for watching 👍🏼

    I ordered a set of these irons today. I am in my 60's and have lost swing speed. I still drive the ball well, hitting 80% of fairways with the ball going 250ish yds, but hit very few greens in reg. On average 6 in 18 holes. I am looking forward to seeing if these help me. ( Currently play Cobra one length irons that were custom fit.)

    Contemplating the 5 iron of these as I have the other Launcher XL irons. The Halo hybrid I have sits closed at address which I am not a massive fan of. Wondering if the 5 iron sits closed or square at address?

      Hi Aled! Thanks for watching the video and your comment. It’s hard for me to say with certainty because I’ve not seen the 5i in this version, only the model from a couple of years ago which I don’t recall sitting closed. I also didn’t think these irons sat closed either. Might be worth seeing if your local centre has any of them (most likely a 7i) which you can hit on the range just to see if you like the feel and how it sits? I just tested your irons tonight and loved them! Video coming soon!

      I have the the 4-sw. the 4 and 5 do have a touch of offset, closed I would say very little I hit the 4 and 5 with the confidence of a hybrid but the mindset of an iron playing shots. Last round of the year 195 par 3, stuck the 4i to 4ft with minimal roll.

      Hi Gary! I didn’t change anything in how I would swing the club versus any other iron. Obviously as a mid handicap golfer, whilst that makes my content more relatable, it does mean the overarching variable in these tests is me! Hope that helps! All the best! 👍🏼

      @@garyfitzsimons3741 fantastic news Gary! I really think these clubs are a game changer for so many golfers. It’s no surprise that TM (Stealth HD), Wilson (DynaPower) and Titleist (T400) are starting to copy the format to varying degrees. Play well today! 💪🏼

    Only if it comes with a lighter shaft, my swing speed is only 85.😢

    • @weekendtourpros
      @weekendtourpros  11 месяцев назад +2

      Hi Gary! Thanks for watching my video and for your comment! The graphite shafts (Project X Cypher) come with three weight options - the lightest is only 59 grams so a really lightweight iron shaft! I definitely wouldn’t let your swing speed put you off hitting these - in fact I’d go so far as saying you’re exactly the target demographic. I only swing driver in the low 90s so not much faster than you and I really like how easy they are to hit and pop in the air compared to other irons. Best of luck with it! 👍🏼
