Pretty sure this mission was the direct inspiration for the plot of the movie Act of Valor! What an incredible movie with real SEALS playing there own roles as actors. That gunboat scene with the mini gun is epic!!!
wrong act of valor was terrible unless there's multiple movies called act of valor claiming to be based on & about US Navy SEALs. only one i know was junk & released in 2012. From what I remember of Valor it had nothing to do with war criminals in the same sense its more about trying to get pirates/ terrorists like those operating off somalia or like a new wanna be Bin laudin or a ISIL Bagdaddy type group. I don't remember anything about anything doing about war criminals or genocide in Valor. The only really point of it was it was actually starring active members of real SEAL teams at the time none of whom were obviously named or other security type issues. You have a better comparison with this inspiring part of Behind enemy lines with Owen Wilson &/or one of the episodes of the short lived TV series "the Unit" which took place in one of the block countries & has the Unit helping UN french troops trying to arrest war criminals.
@@croccifixiooneill475 man it was a cool movie obviously you had to much coffee the day you read my comment. It’s my opinion that’s all. Yes we are talking about the same Act of Valor. Yes, the U.S. and Brits caught fascist war criminals charged with genocide. I don’t know if I would agree that Bosnia Serbs were “always” criminals though, so not sure what you mean there. The criminals were just the ones killing families by ethnic cleansing using paramilitary organizations who then went on to steal their property for profit. Thank god for the goodness of U.N. and NATO. These Bosnian Serb fascists were just like Nazis and very similar to Putin’s authoritarian Russia today.
What a great dedication for the members of the team who are willing to risk their lives under all cause just to bring the criminals and murderers against humanity into the final destiny and justice. For a war criminal to truly receive justice, international court of justice need to have him executed within 2 years after a guilty verdict, not put him in prison for another 40 years or give him additional day to stay alive after evaded justice for so many years. 😤😤
If only they got 40 years... Most of these "low-level" war criminals get something ridiculous like 12 years and serve only 4 and then get released. It's an insult to all the victims and all those who fought to catch these cocksuckers. So many got released due to the "lack of evidence" and some never even got charged. I don;t see how anyone who gets a "guilty" verdict for committing a war crime could get anything less than a life without parole. I'm usually against the death penalty in regular criminal cases, but in cases like these I'm all for it!
@@robertbauer3419 I read that a few convicted in war crime received long prison term while he is already > 70 years old after lengthy search arrest period, and long court trial, it does 'look good' to the judge the convicted got few decades of sentencing in public and media, notwithstanding it is plain silly to justice. 😏
@@robertbauer3419 Yeah, Im a serb watching this, and I'm trying to stay objective as much as possible, if the things they were saying 100% true (witch they are not) than yeah they do deserve to be there, but UN & NATO did nothing against genocie to serbs(from croats for example withc was X4 worse than this if looked at how they did it and by how much they did so), so are they really objective, I'm trying to learn thru both sides, I have dad who fought in one of those wars, but as someonme who is very open minded I watched this whole thing tru, and I can tell you that they somewhat have a right, but no one ever told "our" side of the sotry that is, the side from serbs, im a little bit dissapointed on how people from both sides can jump to conculusions and just say they are right. When 9/11 happend the USA & NATO declared a war on a innocent country, just because it would profit them more than acutally trying to catch who was responsibilie for what happend there. So when you look at something like that, that they are willing their own people hanging for justice like that, then what do you expect from someone who dosent have to do anything with USA & NATO. "War rules" was the primary reason why UN/NATO did this, but than you have a lot more crimes that are war crimes, and guess what, they just decide to ignore that. As I've said, if all of this was 100% true, than yes, serbs who did all of those horrible war crimes deserve to be executed. I don't care if he was my dad, if he did that than he would deserve that, but you can never trust something like that 100% and just jump onto concludios. I won't even say how USA has slaveary, for example ETC. They are "the good guys", and they are seen as those, but they did more war crimes than anyone else, yet when it's somebody else who's doing that, then its a problem. And the primary reason why I'm writting this comment, isn't to spark a flame and lit a fire, it's simeply just because, there is a hate, for us, serbs(yes I'm a 100% Serb) from the UN/NATO members. It's like being racists, and nationalist in the same time, it feels bad, it feels awful, and I just wanna come out here and say, that for most of us people, we didnt do anything wrong, that ALSO applies to most NATO members countires, the people who run these operations, might be wrong, again i dont know i wasnt there when it happend so i cant really tell, however I can tell you that there were a lot of war crimes against us that came 100% unpunished. Again I don't want to hate to anyone, after all we are just people, so why not just spread the love and not hate? So, yeah bascily I just wanted to say that, most people in the world didn't do much wrong. It's like if one black dude out of 1M black dudes did something, should we all just hate that 1M? Well yeah, yk that is how a lot of us serbs feel, and I know you guys helped us as well, so yeah thanks for that, and hopefully one day we can all live piecufly like one united race!

These are old missions, it was the same with the F-117 nighthawk. One was shot down in Iraq, the US did nothing about it because by that time it was outdated and we already had the B-2 Spirit. I say this because seeing how the SEALS in the 60s did things doesn't always mean it's the same today
So he was apparently the most difficult and well guarded target of the three, despite the fact that he made REGULAR trips with ONLY his driver through US controlled checkpoints? lmao
Because the guards at the checkpoints don’t know about his indictment yet.. there’s no way they could arrest him. And publishing the indictment would only make him hide more.
They still got the target and killed the other scumbag war criminal near the river, if the guards would have known then the mission could be compromised

Around this time there was alot of Bosnia refugee moving into my apartment complex. I was only 11, wasn't sure what was going on. Before then I've never seen a white skin refugee. Most people living there was from Southeast Asia. As I got older I realized, We were all the same. Escaping from a war torn country. God bless U.S soldiers..
Thank you for this. I saw this episode as a teenager and it really stuck with me. I have looked for it over the years and never found it. Thanks again.
I was in Bosnia in 97. Tuzla was a lot more built up at that point. (seahuts and the like) I was with 1-1 Cav 1st Armored Div. I remember running into the special ops guys while doing presence patrols. They wore cleans BDUs with Huge black Backpacks. Not Military issue. We always wondered what they were carrying. Always on the lookout for PIFWC (or phonetically "Piff Wicks"). It was a beautiful country though it was full of unaccounted for landmines and graveyards.
I was there in January 96 at camps Angela and Alicia with 3/4 Cav out of Schweinfurt. That was my first tour in Germany. My 2nd tour I got back in Dec 1997 and was in Hanau. I worked on your TOW systems on your BFV's in Budigen. Used to hang out at The Lorbass a lot.

American and Brits were true heroes in these missions. Well done brothers.
They were criminals as always
This clearly tells us that we have great number of good and caring individuals in uniform and among civilians in the world, they never hesitate by all means - to give the 🤬bad guys🤬 whatever they deserve...! Job well done boys. It is a remarkable work of dedication! Bravo.

Disagree. March them out the back door and drop them where they stand.
