MEN of STEEL. Never forgotten.🇺🇸
My great respect for them.
Those zodiac motors always break down but they're usually pretty quick to fix. We did a training package at Coronado Island on the seal base (I was marine) and the coxswain (sp?) course taught them how to fix them on the fly. We did a training raid over maybe 10-15 miles and I swear out of a couple dozen boats or so, a quarter of them broke down. Most were repaired in minutes. "Air fuel spark!"
Zodiac don't make motors. They make the dingias.
This was a really great documentary, thank you for posting it.
As a diverse I was at the edge of my seat all the time. Bravo to brave men.
An excellent documentary!! It was realistic, fast-paced and exciting.
I have to say that the Navy Seals heroics in this operation was very difficult, but they did they’re jobs by heroism ,and they deserve to get Medal 🏅 of honor ,Malladets bravo 👏. Congratulations 🎊🎉🎈🍾.

In 1973 I went to Brasil from Panama. On the same Pan American plane, he in first class me and two of my soldiers in coach travelled there. Three days later we were leaving Army headquarters in Brasilia. He, only a lieutenant colonel had to take the bus. We were given a carryall as we photographers had to transport our equipment. Noriega was awaiting a bus. We pulled up to the bus stop. He looked frightened. I said in Spanish, Colonel Noriega, we are from Panama la Zona del Canal here to photograph the conference you are attending. May I give you a ride? He got in. I asked if we could pick him up in the morning. He said yes, but Toca la bocina “Hit the horn”. He did not want us to enter his BOQ room. Later, I found out why. He on a diplomatic passport carried a machine pistol to Brasil. He was so frightened that he would be executed. A porter bringing the minutes of the conference opened his door only to find Noriega pointing the pistol at him. When we got back to Panama And the film was printed I called Colonel Noriega to bring the still photos and a rough cut of the film. He wanted to come to my office, but I did not want to explain why he was visiting me so I volunteered to carry the film and photos to him. He was nice to me, but a real snake. My brother has dual US and Panamanian citizenship has told me what high level Panamanians know or knew about Noriega. My brother still has an apartment at Punto Patilla, the nicest part of Panama City.
Way to go boys! Over and out!
Hello. Thank you for your service. Be safe out there people. Love to all
I remember watching this show growing up. Glad to find it again
My uncle served in Panama (operation just cause) in 1989 . He was a marine sergeant . He died in Iraq (operation induring freedom ,)
I always have respect for the man and woman that give their lives for America
This entire invasion was a "slam dunk". The biggest problem planners had was fielding all the requests from various military units: "we want to play too!", and finding missions for them all. In the case of this plane and boat, they could easily have been destroyed in minutes with a helicopter gunship or F-16, but the Seals wanted to play too, so this mission was given to them.
During the leadup to the invasion, troops could actually walk the ground they planned to attack in broad daylight and with no reprecussions .... how often does that happen?
We drove our armored vehicles across the front of the PDF 5th Infantry Barracks every day.. with machine guns pointing at the barracks that were only 50 feet from the road.
The Panamanians knew it was coming before long, and even knew what would happen, and that there was nothing they could do. On the night of the attacks, all the Panamanian Officers were mysteriously absent from the Panamanian bases around Fort Amador in Panama City. They could not even get into the arms room to get out their weapons and ammo, because the offciers had the keys.
The biggest problem was the "Brigade de Dignidad" (Brigade of Dignity) which was a large force of paramilitary forces Noriega created shortly before the invasion. These troops were recruited from impoverished areas that were stout Noriega supporters, and became almost Rabid in their support once Noriega created a special force for them to join. The were trained for about six months prior to the invasion by Captain (later Major) Moses Cortizo-Cohen, who was commander of the Panamanian 5th Infantry on Fort Amador. They wore no uniforms, had no military haircuts, and could blend into the community. They remained a problem for weeks after the invasion was concluded.
Were you part of the troops sent there…?
@@sarpongstephen2896 I was there, more than one year in advance, in a planning and intel role.

Great!!! with sophisticated strategies...
Excellent mission and exploits worthy of praise!! Just wondering why they didn't execute precision strikes to take out both the gunship and the plane??
Rules of engagement. War works till the lawyers get involved.
Man these guys are badass, whenever a seal dies it's like so much training gone instantly
To the brave men and women of panama I salute you for bravely
Good lord talk about murphys law!! God bless are seals!!!
Wonder wow
Wonderful better than movies shows.
The whole Panama invasion was a terrible decision to cover up past mistakes. But that does now take away the amazing bravery and skill of the SEALs. The government might be corrupt but those men still go above and beyond their call of duty and I salute every last one of them
What an amazing feat that was accomplished Thank you for sharing that task with us. God bless all involved.
Another great wonder series. I was hooked on 'shouldn't be alive' .. This is also quite an adrenalin boost...

I love this
During WWII my father a USN UDT/CB (underwater demolition and salvage diver & sea bee) was stationed on Okinawa. I have seen this video before and it irked me then as it does now that for whatever reason the plan was changed to be 15 minutes sooner and... THERE WAS NO COMMUNICATION TO WARN OUR MEN... To think of all those American Servicemen who lost their lives and all the perp Noriega got was 40 years... You can not but have great respect for our troops.
Sorry to hear that. He was a hero. My thoughts and prayers are for you and him. I I don't know what I would do without my father he's my hero and he's getting older and it sucks because any day now he could pass away but like I said my thoughts and prayers for you and your family he was a hero straight up hero. 🇺🇸💪

A classic example of "You messing with a wrong man"
VERY WELL !
So badass
[ servered 1984 to 1988 GM in Little Creek.one of my seal team friends was going some where .this is where he went
Side topic. Does anyone remember the documentary in the late 90s about the mission to create a diversion on the iraq beach where they had to swim and plant explosives and then swim out?
Legit the Cayo Perico heist IRL
A motor breaks down, WTF. The elite of the elite & their motor fails.
Noriega thought he's got the toughest military on the block..🤣🤣🤣
He did
I never understood why they didn’t just drop a couple small bombs on the very few strategic sites like the hanger and dock ! It seem it would have accomplished the same results and not cost that many lives ! I guess that’s why I’m not making those decisions ! A big thank you to all who have served and to those GOLD STAR FAMILIES !! GOD BLESS AMERICA !! UNITED WE STAND !!!
God bless our troops BUT why, when the fighting started, couldn't we just have fired a "Hellfire" missile or some other missile into the gunboat from a safe distance?
@Archer 07: Good Q.
Because to do that you’d have to fly a plane or helicopter close to it, which doesn’t exactly help with the surprise element. Remember this was done in preparation for the invasion.
They were ordered to avoid collateral damage, as the US wanted to turn over Noriega's assets in Panama to the new government after the war ended
This is amazing.. God bless all the Navy Seals and their families in Jesus' name!
GOD BLESS AMERICA
Why did they not simply hit the boat and plane with missiles?
To avoid collateral damage
If we understood why, we would be SEALS. But they always take the best route
@@PattMcCrotch I was supposed to say to avoid Collateral Damage 😅 well that explains the plane, since it was the order from above but the captain ended up firing a missile since it wasn't the light resistance they expected 🤷🏼♀️ For the ship, I son't think they considered Collateral damage since their mission was to completely destroy it. I think the underwater demolition works best since there were already PDF Guarding it, so they can't just appear in there and start firing missile, plus it was no ordinary ship, it's a gunship heavily equipped with weapons. They could've easily been eliminated if they lined up on the ground
Long live America
This goes on forever
Listen to the Tatum Chronicles hear about Bushes war on drugs, fantastic.
Bush's "war on drugs"? More like a war on anyone who dared interfere with the drug dealing operations of the Bush family's closest friends and allies the Clintons, Bill and Hillary.
is this what the just cause series cam from?
I had 2 close friends that were there. One was a major and the other a lt.
now....drones fellas....no way we get our guys killed for a boat or a jet....couple hellfires from 2000 feet , story over- I love Panama, great place now
Just about every operation I see on these shows turns into a clusterf@ck.
I was an elite seal team operator in a dream once.
LOL 😆
Hahahaha.
God bless America .
Special forces are crazy tough
i really dont get this mission, all the stealth, underwater demo team , the four lives lost .. that gun boat was an easy shot with some other weapon as was being pinned down outside the aircraft hanger, not a good result in my opinion ..amazing divers and at night too .
Amazing, very dark, divers with oxygen, with oxygen poisons?
Covid-19 patients dead of oxygen poisons death rates very high!
???
Cont..
It's a gun boat, heavily equipped with weapons. It could've easily eliminated anyone trying to destroy it. Plus there was that Russian Spy ship as well. If they're going to appear there and fire missiles as well, they are easily detected, thus they need more back up, more chances of exchanging fire with the enemies, thus it could result to more casualty like what happened to the Airport team. Worst, it could jeopardize the whole mission, and capturing the dictator would'nt've happened. I think, that is why they had to go through this complicated thing
Above and beyond the Call of Duty
Great mens rzzpect to them
The battlefield arch angels we are forever in debt
I notice that the Zodiac dingy crew didn't blacken their faces!
Good job Panama
More than good ...bad guys are good for nothing..
