@@rickrogan2355 same
Yeah I can tell I’m going to be one of “those people” again. Small pets love to cuddle and fall asleep with us and we love it too. But I will never forget the devastated face of someone whose parrot was every thing and the parrot felt the same way. Amazon, African Grey, Eclectus size.
They’d fallen asleep together and…rolled together too much and the bird suffocated. ***But hey, there’s no guarantee of safety in life if one does absolutely everything the exact right way. So what I really wanted to say was this: If you toss and turn and you know it, then you already are gently picking up your sleepy little friends and putting them in safer places. BUT SOME OF US FALL ASLEEP FASTER THAN FLIPPING A LIGHT SWITCH! Especially when working hard and borderline narcoleptic.🤤 Also, we don’t seem to much once we fall asleep; the moment we move, we wake up and stumble to the bathroom for the first of eight trips.
But do we move? I think there’s ways to film yourself and motion sensor check it out.
My gist: If your pet might get smothered or hurt sleeping with you, but lives to love you and snuggle with you: Maybe there’s a way to be forewarned and think things through so that you all keep waking up happily, together!!! That would be so great.
Maybe schedule a regular wake-up timer if you fall asleep in front of the TV together every night.
You wake up, put your buddy to bed, go to bed yourself.
Fall asleep on the bed watching TV? Find yourself taking unscheduled naps? Waking up with a pet who made their way up to be with you? Maybe a motion sensor could help. Or? Whatever works. Good luck and love.
I had to do the same for my beardie once. He normally wakes up at the crack of dawn, but that day he stayed still until I woke up. Then did his lip smacking and popping sounds to say hi. Definitely miss him. Smart lizard.
Birds and reptiles often like to hid in their owners hair, as a nest or a comfort spot, especially younger ones. I have had a bunch of pet ducks, and they would climb up on my shoulders and get behind me hair. Sometimes they would just clean my ear for some reason.
How interesting.
Also fuzzy
My dog does the same thing.
That’s true. I work at pet supermarket and when I take out the baby conure to just have social time he would climb my shoulder and get under my wig 😭🤣

@@TheOneMusketeer1901 lmao did your wig actually come up? How did you react?
You take care of almost any animal and after awhile (it can range from days to years) they start to trust you and they seem to actually want to be with you. Makes ones heart smile when it does happen!
Beardies love cuddling up, but they see eye closing as a sign of distress/fear. Obvious, or sleeping, but eye closing is a distress signal. It's super cute he was checking on you then followed up with some snuggles ✨🙌🏻

@@lenosflarrethedragonking4300 pretty dumb or not depends on the comparison. For me, a cat is more stupider than this lizard just because they will claw or bite you if they are confused and their definition of confused is asinine, all stemming from their stupid intellect. Also they don't give a crap about you.
@@SahilP2648 Being stupid refers to cognitive ability though, and in that regard, cats are definetely miles above bearded dragons. They're not stupid, they're assholes.
@@lenosflarrethedragonking4300 ever heard of the term "don't bite the hand that feeds you"? Yeah cats are stupid. It's just the owner's generosity that lets cats survive. If my cat were to do this, I would have thrown it out in a heartbeat. I don't tolerate bullshit.
Our dragons look exactly the same. I love pur Arlo so much. ❤🦎
The little wiggles as he snuggles up close to you is so freakin cute lol
I love how it was wondering what happened to you!
It really cares for u
It? He isn't an object.

This is so adorable...most do not think that little animals have feelings...they are so wrong. They feel physical pain..and have their own emotions and means of communication..

Some scientists when I was a kid:
Fish don't feel pain right?
Me as a kid: WTF? Obviously they feel pain!!
Scientists later: So, we did some experiments, and it turns out that fish feel pain!
Surgeons until about the time I was born (mid 1980s):
We don't give babies anaesthetic because they probably don't feel pain.
Or at least won't remember it.
Wow! It's a human and you still don't think it feels pain?!
Some clever people are really stupid!
You said it, they have emotions, not feelings/moods. Emotions and feelings are 2 different things.
@@vincent_hall What the hell are you talking about? No surgeons have ever believed that.
@@Violet-Lily There are a huge number of people who do not even think babies are living humans, why would they think they could feel pain or care if they did?
The lizard “The human, is sleeping… licking to confirm that it’s safe to get closer and join the sleep too !” 😂😂😂
I have a baby right now and I really hope I can be this close with him when he’s older😭🥰 so cute!
Always impressed when a reptile shows affection
I can’t say I’ve ever thought of bearded dragons as having much of a personality. Do they? Does he enjoy cuddling? This was really interesting! Glad you shared it!😊❤️
They are very similar to dogs with personality. Some aren't so into being held and cuddled, some love to cuddle and be with people, some are extremely curious and get themselves in dangerous situations. They honestly are a great pet as long as they are cared for properly.
@@kelseydeney Good to know...
Thanks for replying to their msg...
I've heard a few can be spunky...
Bearded dragons like to cuddle because they are cold blooded and need warmth to stay alive
Likewise, my bro in law had one and never gave it physical affection that it was really dead in personality but then I met one that my coworker had and it was so excitable and interactive and she could hold him and etc
It was amazing
Yes each 1 has a very unique personality some are assholes 😆 some a fun as hell an others just run an eat things 😆😂 but make for WONDERFUL PET'S..
My leo loves cuddles and he does the same little horizontal wiggle to fit nicely into a part of the body. Its the little side steps to really cram themselves into you for optimal cuddles ❤️🥰 so cute
I love the snuggle wiggle they do ❤ My Xena looks a lot like yours! I was watching this with her and she was very interested in your beardie 😅
i miss my beardie a lot he was wonderful and i’m so grateful i got the chance to spend so many years with him! they’re such wonderful animals all of you that has one enjoy your time with them!
Im so sorry for your loss im sure he was the most wonderful and honest friend you've ever had

Your beloved pet is closer than you think, ghost animal's are just as real as human ghosts. Your dragon DOES visit you from time to time even if your not aware of it
well, time for a new animal friend!
This is absolutely adorable. I never knew bearded dragons can be this affectionate. How lovely
They cant. They sense heat and dark spaces and get as close to the source. They are primarily instinctual and dont relate in anyway to humans in terms of emotions. It would be nice to have lizards that can experience emotions like dogs and such but thats not the case.
@@standardreplicantKD6-3.7 you answering from experience?
@@joshhaney9769 yes. Had 2 beardies. One for 2 years and another for 5.

Your dragon is well tamed and needs treats all day for being a sweet pet.
That is so damn cute. I had no idea that bearded dragons had such great personalities. I want one. Lol
