For people wondering about off-balance and exploiter: In all of my testing, I have found that wrathful strikes outperforms exploiter both in parsing as well as in normal content. To proc off-balance with unstable wall of elements, the enemy must first be concussed (this comes from lightning staff attacks) and then a 7 second window into big damage will happen when paired with the exploiter perk. You can absolutely run exploiter and still pull big dps in this fashion, but wrathful strikes is a more reliable boost to damage across the board in my experience, and allows you to focus on spamming heavy attacks instead of having to constantly think about setting an enemy off-balance or wondering when one of your other party members will be casting something to set an enemy off balance. Just my two cents and one more way that I think this sort of build can be made more fun and passive for the non-sweatlords among us while remaining just as viable as the alternative setup!

@@cynical9413 Nice! I don't have any build videos for stamblade, but it would essentially be very similar to the stam dk one that I did make a few months back. Something like all points into stamina, thief mundus, takeaway broth as food, and then 5x relequen/5x pillar of nirn (two daggers as weapons) with oakensoul and a slimecraw piece. For skills, I would probably use twisting path, surprise attack, merciless resolve, killer's blade, and barbed trap with incapacitating strike as an ultimate - and then for CP something like deadly aim/wrathful strikes/master-at-arms/backstabber + fortified/rejuvenation/bloody renewal/boundless vitality. Good to get different takes on this build. I had never tried barbed trap using this build. I'll give that a go later today. Thanks for that. For me, the cool thing is, this build works on just about all classes. I stash the gear in a chest and switch between toons when farming Vet Pledges. Sorc, Warden, DK, Necro, Templar.. all work just great with this exact build. When I get in a PUG with a fake tank.. I've even been known to tank a few bosses with my 30K health / 20K resistances. Great all around build.
This is probably the only video I've seen that actually explains blue champion tree. Can you go over again the best in slot for parsing and best in slot for trials? That would be most appreciated 😀
For parse I would use weapons expert, backstabber, deadly aim, and wrathful strikes and hit the dummy from behind. Sometimes people use master at arms instead of deadly aim, but I think with these skills slotted I do more damage with deadly aim. If you're doing regular content you can get rid of backstabber and use fighting finesse instead since you won't be standing behind monsters very often.
I can reliably hit 95-100k and I’ve tried a bunch of the blue cp. my best result was using exploiter, master at arms, deadly and weapon expert. I’m not at crit cap so on paper i feel like backstabber should be better but for some reason it’s not. Using the 4 i listed every parse is around 96-99 with the best ones barely being over 100. I have no idea why backstabber and finesse aren’t parsing better. Wrathful was only giving me around 94k. At the end of the day it honestly doesn’t feel like the blue cp matters much, the only thing that matters is that you have all 4 slotted at a full 5 points each. Which ones you choose won’t matter much as long as you make sure to use weapon expert
@@xgcdarkninja911 the reply from @mattctaylor23 is probably correct in that it probably isn't going to make a massive difference either way regarding some of the champion abilities, but the setup that i mentioned above is what worked best for me. the usual culprit for lower numbers (assuming all gear and morphs etc are correct) would just be practicing and tightening that rotation!
@@dvmpstr and the start. Cleaning up the beginning got me up to 103.4K using the same CP as you mentioned: Wrath Expert DAim Bkstab. I proc pets, walk up drop trap then dprey and GAtro. If so do you have any suggestion cause I don't really have much understanding of how all that works lol
If you do end up going over the cap (I'm not sure off the top of my head if you would go over) then I would probably try out the lover mundus for some more penetration, though it won't be super helpful in group content when someone else is debuffing enemies for you!
Not sure what skill you're asking about when mentioning "entropic touch". Entropy is not on the skill bar at all in my setups, did you mean critical surge or daedric prey maybe?
That set changed, but I'm still rocking the same setup! Some people have switched over to noble duelist instead of storm master, but it's basically about the same by my estimation! 🙂
Have you noticed bloodthirsty actually working on heavy attacks? On console several friends and I have noticed that the #'s don't really get any higher as the dummy health goes down.
I would definitely check the forums to see if it's something that people are noticing as an issue, but I would imagine there would be an uproar in the community if that was the case since these builds are so popular lately. :) On pc we can use combat metrics addon to see a graph of dps/time to confirm everything is working properly.
Keep in mind that sorcerers have a passive that boosts damage based on how much health the enemy has (+10% Damage @ Full HP) plus all the pre casts we can do at the start of the fight I imagine it would even out a tad as those fall off gradually and bloodthirsty starts to kick in.
This one is a little weird on account of the pets, but you can pre-cast the two pet abilities and hurricane before running up, you can also drop ult immediately to maximize. The reason that I started my parse so awkwardly was just to show that you can still hit 100k without being super sweaty and just messing around. Another commenter mentioned higher dps output from casting barbed trap before daedric prey, so a good general place to start would be something like "pre-cast both pets nd hurricane, ult, barbed trap, daedric prey" with heavies channeled in between each skill while being sure to queue up the next skill while the heavy is channeling. If you find that swapping them around on the bar helps your rotation then keep it up, but GENERALLY speaking I think casting skills from highest to lowest active time tends to work best for my brain, but of course daedric is casted more frequently, so I like to stick it on the lower numbers for finger comfort!
Is one sword and shield fit on nightblade and necromancer? I'm going to go with a weapon for nightblade where nb will only use their own skill abilities no weapon abilities. Also that critical skill don't work for me so it suck
Good luck! I don't usually use 1h and shield unless I'm doing a tank character, but it would probably work fine. If you're going the nightblade route for pve as a dps character and don't want to use any of the skills associated with the weapon skill line, I would suggest trying out something like dark shade, merciless resolve, twisting path, swallow soul, and crippling grasp. Critical Surge is mainly used to get some heals from dealing criticals since we're already getting major brutality from oakensoul. Definitely swap it out if you aren't benefiting from it!
I haven't tried slotting mines for minor since we get major from oakensoul, but it could be worth testing for sure! Kind of hard to consider what to swap out though :P
How? I'm 960CP, have exact same gear (but only staff is gold, other things are purple) and skills, same CP distribution, but when I parse on regular target humanoid skeleton - I pull out only 32k DPS I can agree, that lower CP and purple gear could make it lower than 100k, but in THREE times? Also, from where u got all that buffs and who apply Major and minor breach on the dummy? Aint it cheese?
An iron atronach trial dummy will show higher dps since it has all of the extra debuffs and you will gain buffs as if you're in a trial environment being buffed by a group, so if you're smacking around a normal dummy it will be much lower!
If you're running content rather than parsing, you can swap in exploiter in place of backstabber to benefit from off balance! However in my experience wrathful strikes provides a more reliable buff than having to proc off balance when running content, so I don't include exploiter in the video. Unstable wall of elements is still a useful spell to use for some extra area damage!
@@dvmpstr the lightning wall procs off balance on concussed enemies, which is always the big numbers for 7 seconds. So someone has to bring OB. Exploiter is simply a buff to OB. But OB up time is usually less in content, so I dont use exploiter.
One more thing to add since I didn't really answer the original question lol. Off balance (for a 7 second duration) causes the enemy to take 70% more damage from heavy attacks and restore twice the amount of resource, in this case magicka. I think that the glyph of weapon damage (on a weapon) would work better in a situation that you aren't primarily using single target attacks like we are with heavies. If you were running a bunch of AOE spells it would definitely be useful like a 2h build focused on spamming cleave or something like that!

Keep going! As long as the gear and everything is in place, you'll just have to keep tightening up your rotation. That's where the major increases come from in my experience!
You can just hold the mouse button down the whole time and hit skills close-ish to when the heavy attack ends, just make sure the next heavy attack starts before you hit skills basically… That increased my damage the most with this build once I realised you could just hold it down.
what about this combination what do you think of it? Sergant mail and Noble Duelist's (Waht make stormmaster better? ) maybe worth a test? Or have you tested it before? Best regards
You can use whatever you want! Noble requires you to be in melee range which isn't great for a ranged build but if you play that way it could work, storm master has no such stipulation and is more reliable.
Feels like cheating, but I can't go back. Every dungeon and trial (except CR need to barswap) that I've done is super easy. No death no sigil speedruns in both Maelstrom and Vateshran vet with minimal effort. Always at the top of Hodor unless someone else is using a similar build. Brokensoul.

Infiltrator is best ??
So long!
Sergeant is better than undaunted infiltrator. But you can use whatever sets you want to use.
@@dvmpstr Certainly!
but my doubt was about the dps with the infiltrator set, that is, the difference between the infiltrator and the Sergeant's.
success on the channel!
@@georgiosilva5588 Sergeant's Mail is better than Undaunted Infiltrator in my opinion. I do not have Infiltrator as one of the sets in this video, so I'm not sure where you're getting that from, but if you are asking if Infiltrator is better than Sergeant's Mail, I would say no. But you can certainly use it if you prefer it!
@@dvmpstr okay! 🙂👍🏽
im giving this vid a like purely for the intro joke lol nice one m8 ok now ill watch the vid
edit: solid build almost the same as i have, 1 quick question iv noticed on a few heavy attack builds that nobody seems to be running the berserker glyph anymore and either run the flame or poison glyph instead and i was wondering would the 5s extra weapon/spell damage buff not be more beneficial than a single flame or poison damage hit every 5s? im not a theory crafter whatsoever and playing on console i dont have access to the analytics like on pc
I think that the glyph of weapon damage (on a weapon) would work better in a situation that you aren't primarily using single target attacks like we are with heavies. If you were running a bunch of AOE spells it would definitely be useful like a 2h build focused on spamming cleave or something like that!
Wouldn't be using a straight up poison bring even higher DPS? I remember in the past that was the case that poison outperformed the glyph
@@bora7494 on a single target maybe but thats 1 proc on 1 target every 5s whereas the berserker gives u a 5s buff to w/s dmg that will boost all ur dmg
@@dvmpstr nice thing about the lightning staff heavy atk tho is u deal 100% of the main targets dmg as splash dmg as well if others are close enuff but that wouldnt translate to the poison/flame proc on that one target, unless im reading something wrong, whereas the berserker glyph will increase the damage on all 6 of ur skills as well as the healing from naked bird lady and crit surge, sorry for the late reply as im not getting any notifications on yt for some reason
@@judsdragon Interesting idea. Got to check if that berserk bonus comes already with Oakensoul or not.
Did test alchemy poison on a trial dummy and the fire glyph outperformed it.
How did you make that outfit 😮
This is the oblivion explorers garb and head piece from the oblivion dlc, I believe they are unlocked from the main questline in that zone and can be dyed 😀
@@dvmpstr thanks 👌
hello, what is your armor style?
This is the oblivion explorer's garb!
I have been grinding several days for the lightning staff, but the rng is just showing me a huge middle finger... god damn i am done with wayrest sewers for a good while.
May RNJesus be with you!
Why do you have screen shake enableddd 😭
Immersion. Why do you NOT?!
The set infrator Best? Best sargent?
?
You made me laugh and hopefully I learned something :)
64k. Something must be off for my Breton.
That "pass the boof" got me on the floor 😂 awesome content tysm!
#barbros
what about this combination what do you think of it?
Sergant mail and Noble Duelist's
(Waht make stormmaster better? )
maybe worth a test? Or have you tested it before?
Best regards
You can use whatever you want! Noble requires you to be in melee range which isn't great for a ranged build but if you play that way it could work, storm master has no such stipulation and is more reliable.
what style is that??
Oblivion explorer garb with a dye!
Feels like cheating, but I can't go back. Every dungeon and trial (except CR need to barswap) that I've done is super easy. No death no sigil speedruns in both Maelstrom and Vateshran vet with minimal effort. Always at the top of Hodor unless someone else is using a similar build. Brokensoul.
@vilhelm schmitt I am sure you can play it in vCR too. Just have NO weapon at the backbar, and the overload doesn't hit you
@@Mischalicious Yeah you can do vCR, there's a video by Xynode on this!
I've never understood the reason for having different set up for parse and content,, great can do 100k with parse set up but that's not the set up that's usefull in content, am I wrong?
It's just for fun. And some people may use the parse setup for a trial!
@dvmpstr the usable content set ups tend to do less dps by some way I reckon as they not cheesing dummies and need to add that survivability in.
@@syiccal Yeah for sure, in the case of this build you'd lose some dps by having critical surge slotted to heal you instead of having barbed trap, but parsing is meant to just have fun and show big numbers (for the most part). I actually have a video "the art of the parse" that goes into this in a little more detail. :)
No Exploiter CP? 10% more damage to off balance enemies seems important to the build
No exploiter! Wrathful Strikes outperforms exploiter on the dummy (which has high uptime on off-balance) by about 1k dps, so it's small but worth the swap.
Imagine if sorcs got in class access to empower
Oakensoul grants empower! Trying out the might of the guild passive on another class with a similar setup now as well to see how it fares!
You get it from the mages guild
Yeah 8 sec orb that also reveals enemies it got nerfed from its origin
@@dvmpstr oh yeah but I mean like empower but you get to keep both your bars
@@vossboss220 how would that be relevant then? You aren't using oakensoul so you don't have any of the other buffs that come with it either.
BRETON JAMES 😂
I don't get the joke at the beginning buy good vidoe
Lmfao 🤣
