So 30€ for a tech demo, awesome... I bought Arma3 when it was in alpha for ~15€ and it was more enjoyable than this. I'm also not very impressed by the engine.
I just clicked on this video randomly to watch some Arma Reforger gameplay because i was curious to see some updates on the game. I was pleasantly surprised with great humor, video editing, and a really high quality video i watched from start to finish. I immediately checked your sub count and was surprised you weren't a bigger channel. Keep doing what you're doing dude you have an amazing talent.
I really appreciate you saying so man. Im kinda just getting started, but I’ve got several scripts I’m working on and I’m really excited to share them!
@@midlevelgeoff What about the offline gameplay? I don’t play online, I just like designing realistic missions and I heard they have a supply feature and such. Then I play through the scenario I’ve designed etc. I may set up the entire map with troops and then do random recon missions and such like the old ArmA 2 modes.
I am going to be an eternal optimist when it comes to Arma. I have enjoyed my time playing the game and so long as there is a niche community of people to play with I will continue to enjoy that. If Arma Reforger can be fun for any amount of time and I just have to spend a few extra minutes throwing together some garbage bag, dish cloth, and comically large spoon for a kit, then so be it. I feel like of all the big devs Bohemia does care about the community it has under its wings. If it takes time for the game to get off the ground and be fun, I'll be the first to let people know it is ready. I'd rather there be some hopeful optimism when it comes to games and communities we love.
I have begun playing Reforger again and I am a console player and so far I am loving it. I only join half a dozen servers that have my interests and the community is growing.
building the engine and the game for cross platform is one of the reason it sucks. you can't have your cake and eat it too. it has to be made for next gen pcs not last gen consoles
Conflict mode is the only reason I play it, but the worst thing about the game is the player base. The player base might be worse than cod players, the second you say that their plan to win the game isn't working, they turn into school shooters and tk the shit out of you, after that they scream at you and spam messages.
@@Jsaint07 You have some very strange stereotypes about the behavior of Americans. No idea why you think it would be explained if I were to do the above. My best guess is bad education.
I asked myself the same question “does this game game still suck?” when it came it cyberpunk 2077, and I got to say it was worth wondering cause CDPR really did a 180 with that game. Aside from a couple of minor bugs that weren’t game breaking it was really smooth.
I ended up getting it, honestly I’m new to Arma franchise but I’ve heard of it. I really like the reforger, but I wish there was some kind of single player I’m really big on game stories. I know there’s some mods that offer something like it, I’ll have to check it out but a full fledged story mode would be cool.
@@GBC_Hellboy1917 Arma reforger is not a full game it is acting like a tech demo for arma 4, all arma games have story and arma 4 will be no different, there are lots of things still missing in reforger, and probably will be in arma 4
i regularly gm on public servers, and it is painful as hell trying to keep it running, but for some unknown reason i enjoy it. 4/10, wont stop playing.
For me Reforger is nothing short of amazing and everything I'd hope for for the Arma series going forward. Coming from thousands of hours of previous Arma series, Arma 3 in my opinion was outdated the day it hit Early Access. Having a 16 core CPU and watching the game utilize 1/16th of that is just sad. Mods that are mostly just repackaged Arma 2 and older assets, always maxing the engine out in basic MilSim scenarios to where you're running around with 30fps on a map that's over a decade old with AI that's biggest difficulty comes from the how unnaturally they move and act. Then on Reforger I've seen someone spawn over 100 AI without a noticeable performance drop, that actually move naturally and using over 10 cores of my CPU. Having proper interiors with breakable furniture and interactions with environments, vehicles, even your own kit that feel really nice. Proper vehicle physics that has a much higher skill ceiling when offroading that they didn't just slap 'PhysX' on for a marketing gimmick. Proper shadowing including distant shadows that actually make a difference to camouflage and visibility. Lighting that has a much better range, look, feel and utility, vehicle damage that isn't based off 2 decade old systems and mechanics. Actual blended animation rag-doll effects. Even the sound is leagues ahead of where Arma 3 is now. $27 USD to support the absolute needed engine change I could argue Arma 3 needed for Arma 4 is well worth the price. Not to mention opening the game up to consoles and a much larger player base is always a good thing for the MilSim community which feels always limited to PC. Not to mention the early access for modders to get their hands on the new engine, new scripting language and get their input in early for Arma 4 will make a massive difference. If even half the systems they've said are coming to Reforger come, we're in for something really special with Arma 4 that will cement it as one of the pinnacles of MilSim for a decade to come and potentially more.
To be honest, I can’t really disagree with much of what you had to say….but Reforger is more than just “modded milsim”, which I’m not surprised sucks. For me PVP is what’s it’s about, and Conflict game mode delivers that, especially on the smaller Arland map. I have 3500 hours on Arma 3, but I’ve not been back since Reforger came out, but I only play Conflict mode. It really is a great concept, when it’s good it’s great, but often it is a frustrating experience with TK dickheads / trolls or server problems or having to spend ages running supplies for the team…I would say check it out first before writing off Reforger
I really enjoyed the PvP when it first came out. My buddies and I would steal uniforms and impersonate the other team. There’s a lot of potential there but I just don’t have the patience to deal with this game right now. That’s not to say I won’t be keeping my eye on it though.
I think they need to lower the price of it, it's not worth what they're asking. Especially since I own Arma 3 and that game is complete with way more mods
As an Xbox player, I love realistic games of all kinds, and this being basically the best MilSim game on the Xbox platform, this to me, is an excellent game. I love the feeling of having no player icon on the map, and having to navigate using a map and a compass and looking at your surroundings. Until I get a PC to fuel my MilSim addiction, I am very happy with this game.
@@lyricalbrit there’s hardly even a close second when it comes to hell let loose because of how immersive it is. I highly look forward to the content release coming this summer it’s gonna be big

I played the game when it first used the trial on console (Yes, I'm a console player). I've been watching Arma 3 videos for a few years now, from watching Zeus ops to POVs on the ground, and as a console player, I wanted something like that, the closest thing we have to a large scale battle game is probably Battlefield and well.... you know how those games are fun, but it doesn't always scratch that itch. Insurgency Sandstorm did for a while, but.... I like large-scale stuff, I even tried Hell Let Loose when that did a free weekend or trial (I don't remember), for the most part, I enjoyed it, but I enjoy modern warfare stuff. I haven't been on Reforger since launch and was thinking maybe trying it again as I think I've got another hour or so on the trial. I heard that there were more mods now, but from this video, it seems that barely anyone is playing the game. I've always loved the concept of PC players and console players one day teaming up for an op. Of course, I'm sure PC players will dominate, but I'm sure it would still be fun to just tag along and actually work as a team who wants to work as a team, rather than teaming up with people who hop on for a match or two. I was even close to getting Arma 3 when I finally got a PC. Unfortunately, it's not compatible with the one I got (it's an IMac. I got for my uni work rather than gaming) Still, I hope one day we get an Arma game that is broken and is an actual game. I still enjoyed my time with Reforger, even if it was at launch, as it showed me that experience wasn't too far away now.
Second ranger battalion server has its days where it feels like we’re on a real mission especially the night time one we did last night. Running along side a big ass hill in a 12 man group with nvg’s trying to push into a compound that was getting lit up on the other side by friendly…but the lag gets shitty…It’s still addicting tho
I've been playing this over the past couple of days and got to say, to be honest I'm having a blast. I personally haven't come across any issues of floating vehicles, so I can only assume that's been fixed now, I only come across floating gear when trying to play the DayZ mod which still has a long way to go. This was my first foray into milsim and I've got to say I'm really having a blast with it, however I also have no experience with Arma 3 milsim which I'm sure is a lot more developed with more features. I'm finding it a ton of fun at the moment and some of the people you come across are hilarious, but I guess that's a new guys take on it.
I was about to give this a shot after previously playing Arma 3 a ton and not liking where Squad is going. I guess I'll stick with Squad as Arma 3 is just too dated for me now. Im hopeful about harsh doorstop but it still needs lots of work.
I can't describe how excited I was when I spotted arma reforger on xbox and was really pumped for the possibility of being able to experience something similar to the cool moments of arma 3 only to be quickly disappointed with how poor the quality was.
Just don't give them money for unfinished products. How hard is it to wait until it's released to buy a product? You won't get the extra glowing sword and pink pony from the super edition of a broken game? I prefer having finished games... Like before Internet updates and dlc was a thing, when games were judged on release day and extra content was full extensions, not some crap removed from the original product to be sold later.
I just got the game and I think it’s fun becuz of a server that’s quite active and if u save ur load out u don’t have to go through the time to make your guy look good again. The karmakut mods and the mme mod has made my experience with the game much better
You guys know this is the gameplay test for Arma 4 right? It's not even meant to be a full game. It's meant so they can test features they wanna see in Arma 4 as people play it so they can make the best game in the future. Literally says so right on the steam page.
It is its own game, yes they are testing features for arma 4 but it is still its very own game with its own purpose or else they wouldn’t have made it they would have just made an arma 4 beta or pre release of some sort
I don't think reforger is meant to be a complete game versus a test bed for arma 4. No reason to complain because it says right when you purchase the game that it is early access. Plus anyone who plays Arma, knows this is just a stepping stone to Arma 4. My only complaint is if someone purchases reforger, they should get a discount when Arma 4 finally comes out. This was a fun video to watch.
I would say early access as a practice is a concept I hold in contempt. That’s a larger point of why I started this series. And thank you for watching 🙏
@@midlevelgeoff I Agree. I find earrly access is just a way for these companies to start seeing a return on their investment. And it seems like most "completed" games are also released incomplete and full of bugs. As much as its tempting, I do not purchase early access or new games. The one exception was Star Citizen and the only reason I purchased a ship was because the darn thing is taking so long and I wanted to see what $700 million+ gets you when creating a game. I got tired of having my progress wiped so I have not played in over a year. I would love to try reforger, bur your video shows its a mesd, but I have spent thousands of hours in Arma 3 and 2 and am tempted to purchase reforger. I would probably just create my own single player missions. Whew - sorry about the long respose. Thanks for your response and videos!
I'll hope they repair reforger for the console (Xbox) and pc players, so that we Playstation Player get on board.... Even without mods and that other cool stuff I'm looking forward for a tactical shooter, again. Modern setting cool I'm tired of WW2 & 1....
No real improvements but awful console concessions and an awful workshop replacement. These problems were apparent _before_ launch and they persist. Bohemia has made a conscious decision to shift into another direction and they seem unwilling to change back or even unaware there's a problem at all.
This sounds familiar. I think I was there during that convoy mission. I still hop in from time to time, and I agree with a lot of this. BI has a lot to learn.
I have a faint recollection that BI did this "tech demo" style thing with ArmA too. Or rather, an early access version. Myself having had plenty experience with OFP was excited to try it out. I mean, it look so much better than OFP did and showed so much promise. But MAN was i disappointed, it ran like a turd, the controls were even clunkier, there were plenty of graphics glitches and vehicles exploded before you even finished loading the map. It put me off ArmA for like... Umm, until ArmA 2 i think. And i didn't spend much time in ArmA 2 either, it was just by chance that i tried some ArmA 3 and i was finally able to bear its awfulness because there was also so much awesomeness! So, what i am saying is... This isn't the first time BI has made a whole new start from fresh with new engine change. And it's going to take a long time before it's ready to handle everything as well (can one even say that with a straight face?) as ArmA 3 handles it.
That was pretty ahead of my time with pc gaming lol. But I do appreciate the added context! In those days I was only able to play flashpoint dragon rising on 360 😂
I kept crashing and needed to always equip gear man damn nothing saves, it has potential but we need optimization, console mods omg I’m on console…. Watched arma on RUclips for years . It’s hard to keep playing when you lag out crash out and then the chores of getting your gear everytimeeeee
As a console player, arma reforger is amazing, especially considering our lack of mil-sim-esk games. We really only have Insurgency sandstorm, Hell let loose, and arma reforger.
Sure like most games it has its share of quirks but I'm a massive fan (remember when Dayz was first released?). Despite constant server crashes the cost of this early access game is really quite cheap and I have had way more than my 30 dollars worth of fun, made friends and enjoyed the unique situations that each game brings. In my opinion the graphics are gorgeous and I look forward to future milestone updates and this game reaching it's full potential EDIT: I'm not a fan of mods

Overly harsh criticism - Arma Reforger is not a fully fledged game and has never pretended to be. To include this tech poc demo in your video is really just clickbait. Sadly, I fell for it.

When you actually get into some firefights and a good server. It's a good time. But there not much to do beside capture a unguard base and run into only 2-3 guys every 20mins. One day it will be a good game i can recommend but bohemia will drag ass until this game is irrelevant. Side note bring squad on console so i get my friends in on it.
I found a way to keep Ai from moving… it’s not good for role play but works 100% If you spawn in “tractor tire” and lift/place it below the waistline above the knees ai don’t move but still spot and fire.
^ AI also do not climb over medium sandbags meaning if you block or corner then in using sandbags they stay within the blocked area -This method is very space consuming
Hell let loose and insurgency are fun but playing the current arma reforger isnt bad its definitely still an exercise in patience. Glitches are commen but much less so than launch. In short different strokes for different folks but as far as consil milsims this is it.
@@officialamateurexperts Reforger is a tech demo game thats why its called reforger not arma 4, the purpose is to test engine based on people feedback etc, improve things that will be added to arma 4.

I will say you're right only plenty of points here. In agreeance however, I have some points that I disagree with you. Starting with mods, you are right in saying that mods are the blood of ArmA. Arma as a game is really only a framework that mods may build off of. However, as a wanna-be current modder of Reforger myself, you gotta understand the footwork can't be done yet. Almost every page of adding or changing the game on bohemia's wiki is still in its infancy. Tons of "To-Do's" and missing descriptions. Until these are amended, work will continue to be slow. As with the game itself, I can agree it has not chocked up to what it was seen as. Tons of bugs, tons of missing content, the lot. But you did say it yourself, it is indeed a tech-demo. And the arguments of well why sell it? why tech-demo when no-one stays to give issues to bohemia? These are valid points. However, I think from bohemia's point of view, they really needed some income to keep producing Arma 4. No-one in their right mind buys Arma 3 dlc, when mods fill the gap. And I am sure not too many people these days are grabbing new copies of any games in the bohemia franchise, or at least enough to supplement continued Arma 4 development. And when approaching the other elephant in the room, I can truly confirm that modders are giving feedback to bohemia as we speak. Just the other day I read a discord post regarding interfaces with interactables and how there is a new bug to report about it. Therefore, I believe bug-fixes will continue indefinitely seeing as those who are staying are mostly messing with the back end to create, and will most likely give reliable feedback the developers require. Why was content missing from reforger? you might ask. Well as I said earlier, the only logical answer is honestly that they needed the money. So they released sooner than later. They've gotten a lot of resentment from the community from this, but I honestly support the motive. They are definitely not the most respectable game company, and don't mistake me for not having my doubts, but I truly believe they are working hard to make a game to be enjoyed by all players. In short, we need to understand that bohemia isn't a "non-profit" organization. They needed money to further development, and what better way to do so while also creating hype and bug fixing for their next long-term title? 3 birds with one stone.
Let me add in as well. I am in no way forcing anyone to follow my idea blindly. I am nearly stating these reasons to justify the release of Reforger. Feel free to have your doubts. However, if your motive is to blindly hate or at the very least talk down upon the company for the sake of bitching, take your hate elseward to EA or Activision. Bohemia has had the ArmA series running for longer than some of its players have even been alive, and every game till this point has gotten criticism very akin to what we hear today. If you hate it, refund it. No harm done.
I do appreciate the added context. Obviously I don’t have a whole lot of insider info when it comes to mod development. Some of what you said is encouraging and I agree that they likely needed money. However, and correct me if I’m wrong, the missing descriptions and hindrances to the ground work sounds pretty frustrating. The way I read that is as a lack of support for modders, the folks this game was released for. I also wonder how many will feel need to stick around in the already small community you described without much incentive or support. I do hope thing’s continue to develop, but as a general consumer and someone who is appealing to that general consumer I still think it’s fair to tell people to hold off on this game.
@@midlevelgeoff 100%. I totally believe that if you are looking for a some-what finished product, stay away. And as much as I want to justify, bohemia still lacks proper descriptions and regulations regarding half the content for arma 3 mod creation. Hell, half the scripts they implemented don't even work! The weird part though, is arma modders. They are very stuck in their ways most of the time, and those who stay are the same ones who stayed in 2013 when arma 3 was "released" and was just a buggy pile of s***. I've had the displeasure of meeting these people, and I can say with 100% certainty they are old farts who wanna hardcore roleplay sweaty hot men in "insert middle eastern country here" more than absolutely anyone else; and whether we like it or not, they will make it happen in due time. I'm grateful we could have a nice discussion about this, so thank you :)
Not being able to save anything is 100% a deal breaker for me playing SP, and w no servers and its janky instability, the MP experience is also a no go. Bought it, played it for a week, and every 3-4 months i a always reminded why i don't bother touching it.
I don't think reforger sucks it's just really boring, as a console player it was very disappointing to see reforger be boring I thought it was going to be like arma 3
You know there’s hella mods right? Even on console we can download most of them lol I was flying a black hawk around an afghan map last night on my series s hella lit lol maybe dig deeper past base conflict and you’ll have fun
Come check out TFG 1st SFOD. We never crash, we pump out 15-20 ops a day easy and we emphasize tactical gameplay and realism. Completely different from every other experience that is portrayed from this game I promise
I play on xbox, and I haven't had many issues, just downloading mods taking time, and I had the stuck in place bug once and did the restart and was good
Console pleb here, reforger just dropped a massive bug fix update plus mines. Give it a shot now, also as a console pleb this is honestly the best game for me that has come to Xbox
The basic reason why the game sucks is that it has been nearly a year and the Devs have done jack and shit. Last June they promised bi-weekly updates and planned for the major ground overhaul in September. We are still waiting on that September update 6 months later. It was supposed to include basic stuff like bipods, deployable weapons, mines, etc. Those bi-weekly updates? Since Christmas there has been a single update and 3 hotfixes, even counting hotfixes that doesn't fit the bi-weekly schedule, and that update only added freeform building. The game still lacks basic moderation tools, player controls, steam workshop support(Seriously if you make your own mod integration tool at least make it fucking work), proper vehicle dynamics(The Devs have given a hard "no" on tanks and IFVs in a series famous for combined arms and the original Devs saying they made the original Arma because they wanted tanks and infantry together) etc. This game has barely changed in a year, I understand it's not Arma 4 but I expect more than a vertical slice that would make CDPR's CP2077 demo look complete. Oh but apparently the Devs are working so hard, making a new trailer for how they're adding *checks notes* um bullet cases falling. Yeah cause that's the fucking priority, that will bring players back, that will add a good core game to build off of. Seriously fuck these Devs, I don't call Devs lazy usually but these ones either are or there's only 2 of them, either way fuck whoever is responsible, it's not like Bohemia has other priorities right now so I dunno wtf the Devs would be pulled off for.
Why cant they just center the character to the middle of the screen in 3rd person I hate being forced to aim over the right shoulder all the time on every good video game. I am a left handed shooter support versatility guys come on! 😭
I see reforger for what it's going be. It is going to be the greatest most exciting most hilariously terrifing game us console owners have ever experienced. I envy PC owners.
just bought the game three days ago and i have been having alot of fun on conflict in the more modern servers where its 64 players which i was suprised how much fun i was having on it having a low player limit and such a big map the only reason i liked bf was the big maps and high player count and this is definitely a better version of bf since bf doesnt do hardcore mode anymore
Nope it's better to only have the people who really care about arma test it first otherwise if it would be free there would be unending complains and demands about the stupidest stuff.
As someone who has primarily played Arma 2 (for thousands of hours) and Arma 3 WITHOUT running a plethora of mods, hearing someone say "This game sucks because I can't find mod-filled servers cause no one is playing with mods" is so weird. Mods have nothing to do with the game. Mods are an additive. Judge the mods by the mods. Not the game by its mods. You bought a video game from the company. They didn't sell you mods.
You missed my point entirely. I said first that they released a game with basically nothing (bereft of content), and my hope was that mods would bridge that gap. Translation: the game barely has anything to offer. That is a direct criticism of the game. Additionally, the overarching issue here is unfinished games and their lack of content upon release. Mods in relation to the Arma franchise are unique in that they can mitigate the shortcomings of said company. However there aren’t enough people that want to play the game, and even less who are modding it. So there’s no real catalyst for it to improve. I then criticized the game again by lamenting the loss of the virtual arsenal. Mods only highlight how annoying that is. Also I said I couldn’t find many populated servers, let alone ones with mods. Translation: no one is playing this game. You are latching onto a statement that you disagree with and ignoring the wider criticisms.
On Xbox servers are packed everyday. But I have still had the mods not wanting to finish downloading and or it saying I'm out of space, even though I have more than 1tb free lol I'm surprised there's so many on Xbox. I quit playing basically when it came out, no key n mouse support at first, floating vehicles, bullets not doing damage, no mods, would get kicked every 1 to 5 minutes. It was unplayable. It seems to be quite a bit better now but I'll have to fix these mod issues.
Game clearly says in early access and they have their reasons. I think bohemia made the right move cuz imo they have to make sure their engine works well this time. Really dont want another arma 3 where all well known bugs basically cant be fixed
One of the stated objectives of the game is to offer engine familiarity to modders. Mods are a huge part of Arma as a franchise and it’s longevity. Without them, Arma 3 would have died years ago. You being happy to play the base game doesn’t mean much to either my criticisms or one of the game’s primary objectives/reasons for existing.
@@midlevelgeoff did I say anything about your criticism? No I didn't. All criticism is welcome. Just keep in mind that it's both an EA game and that the people working on it also work on other stuff as well. And if anything based on what I said it should be acknowledged that a good base game is a good foundation for the modders. Your comment seems to be talking down on what i said for no reason whatsoever. Bohemia should in fact focus on the engine for both the modders sake and the future of the franchises sake.
What about outside of the internet? I don’t ever play online anyway. I just want to play a milsim that plays realistically and that I can design scenarios myself.
IMO the game never did suck. It's great fun if you jump in gamechat and have a laugh with the people. I think they made a mistake in calling it arma. A lot of people were expecting a good milsim fighting game which is not really how it plays out. It's usually a squad of 5 guys bashing around the map in a truck doing friendly fire.
A month later and I’d encourage you to play again. Servers are popping all the time right now due to some good lads renting three 64 slot servers and they are insane. Dark Gru is the name. If you need convincing please check out my video. Playing Reforger for a week straight this past week and I have like 150 hours already from this one server. I had never made a youtube video before but So many crazy moments were clipped, I couldn’t get the prospect of a video out of my head lol. This game is SUCH a sleeper I promise. And whilst the bugs are still there, they are getting thoroughly squashed with every major update. Give this game a try.
Do we think that once the loadout issues are fixed that we will see arma 3 communities jump to Reforger? What would be the minimum viable product be for most milsims?
IMO the Minimum viable product for Reforger is alot different from the Minimum viable product for milsims as a whole. Reforger has the Arma name attached and that name carries a lot of expectations, if Reforger was just a random early access Milsim game it would be much better received. For Reforger i imagine it would need at least all the planned content to even be on the road to viable, since it would need a solid foundation for communities to build from.
@Justcake I think one of the bigger things that was stopping milsim (pre-made mission Milsims like my group) were faction and loadput presets. When it originally came out, everything had to be done in the arsenal and there was no loadouts. Plus the lack of vehicles, both air and land, made it too barebones. I think I heard that Loadouts came shortly after this video but I haven't taken the moment to confirm that.
Im not sure about Reforger still, the fact I saw no diving/submersible/aquatic based combat was very concerning. The inventory system felt like a step forward from Arma 3 but a step back from Arma 2 & DayZ Standalone. It's so weird and confusing, to release an inventory system like that was awful. Game-master system aswell, HOLY. IT'S SO BAD It's worse than Arma 2's creator tool. Zeus was good, especially when combined with mods like MCC. Optimisation aswell is awful on this, and I have a fairly expensive setup, and it STRUGGLES to run this but will run anything new perfectly fine. Anything released in 2022-2023 runs fine on high for me, for example hogwarts legacy is fine, but this game just cries instantly and wants to kill my pc
I think everyone seems to be forgetting that Reforger wasn’t intended or marketed as a full game. This is just a demo for the new technology involved in Arma4. They literally said this is just 3.5
I addressed this in the video. I did not forget.

So 30€ for a tech demo, awesome... I bought Arma3 when it was in alpha for ~15€ and it was more enjoyable than this. I'm also not very impressed by the engine.
@dr_deadpool play it without mods. Its a smoother experience. But still needs LOTS of work.

@@GBC_Hellboy1917 Arma reforger is not a full game it is acting like a tech demo for arma 4, all arma games have story and arma 4 will be no different, there are lots of things still missing in reforger, and probably will be in arma 4

As an Xbox player, I love realistic games of all kinds, and this being basically the best MilSim game on the Xbox platform, this to me, is an excellent game. I love the feeling of having no player icon on the map, and having to navigate using a map and a compass and looking at your surroundings.
I got for my uni work rather than gaming)
Still, I hope one day we get an Arma game that is broken and is an actual game. I still enjoyed my time with Reforger, even if it was at launch, as it showed me that experience wasn't too far away now.
Played the trial on series x last night. Couldn't even make it through the tutorial. Back to hell let loose
It’s gotten a bit better imo, it’s still lacking a lot on console but the community has been great which makes for some entertaining matches
Yea it's definitely miles ahead of where it was but still a pre beta
Just don't give them money for unfinished products. How hard is it to wait until it's released to buy a product? You won't get the extra glowing sword and pink pony from the super edition of a broken game? I prefer having finished games... Like before Internet updates and dlc was a thing, when games were judged on release day and extra content was full extensions, not some crap removed from the original product to be sold later.

Fucking S tier intro monologue holy shit LOL

I found a way to keep Ai from moving… it’s not good for role play but works 100%
If you spawn in “tractor tire” and lift/place it below the waistline above the knees ai don’t move but still spot and fire.
^ AI also do not climb over medium sandbags meaning if you block or corner then in using sandbags they stay within the blocked area

There is a fine line between neck beard milsim dudes smelling like dorito sweat and chimps with guns where you will have the most fun in arma

LMAO YOU GO FROM 3RD PERSON TO FIRST PERSON CAMERA, SOOOOOOOOOOO REALISTIC FUCK THIS SHIT.
This should be a $15 or free game. If the idea was to test things out then having more people playing should be a priority.
Also if your on console I recommend you just go to insurgency sandstorm, it's a team deathmatch style game mixed with a milsim, it's fun.
game sucked at the beginning most definitely, but I think its pretty decent now. loved the video tho, mad funny
If the server issues are fixed and more mods come into the game then we could have something like Arma life
If lol
I enjoy it, even that I still make blue on blue ahahaha
They never put the game on sale. $30 for a tech demo has no players is not worth it.
Agreed
Reforger is dope I can’t lie
Game clearly says in early access and they have their reasons. I think bohemia made the right move cuz imo they have to make sure their engine works well this time. Really dont want another arma 3 where all well known bugs basically cant be fixed
To add to this. I've been playing vanilla for almost 300 hours now and I'm still having lots of fun with it
Video clearly acknowledges its early access state, and clearly asserts my position on early access.
@@112523 right because your original comment was in no way patronizing lol.
It’s a lot of fun
What happens when you make a arma game for consoles
What about outside of the internet? I don’t ever play online anyway. I just want to play a milsim that plays realistically and that I can design scenarios myself.
Idk if they even have that. That’s more Arma 3
Would you like to make a top of your favorite games?
That would be appreciated. Yep.
Bro how Tf you did you get that gear on the game I got it on console but I ain’t know how to get the multi camo 😂
Go to public servers the ranger battalion ones then you console will download the mods for that particular sever
7:16 had me laughing LMAO
❤
I just got it and I like
The arma button layout mechanics are the reason i cant play it. They are so bad.
IMO the game never did suck.
It's great fun if you jump in gamechat and have a laugh with the people.
I think they made a mistake in calling it arma.
A lot of people were expecting a good milsim fighting game which is not really how it plays out.
It's usually a squad of 5 guys bashing around the map in a truck doing friendly fire.
sounds like arma 3 to me lol
What game is that at 8:00
Ghost recon future soldier
A month later and I’d encourage you to play again. Servers are popping all the time right now due to some good lads renting three 64 slot servers and they are insane. Dark Gru is the name. If you need convincing please check out my video. Playing Reforger for a week straight this past week and I have like 150 hours already from this one server. I had never made a youtube video before but So many crazy moments were clipped, I couldn’t get the prospect of a video out of my head lol. This game is SUCH a sleeper I promise. And whilst the bugs are still there, they are getting thoroughly squashed with every major update. Give this game a try.
Intro *I'm looking at you Cyberpunk* Hard to believe even AAA games are unfinished. The next GTA better not be another Alpha peice of BS.
Wise words about the pathetic status of game releases.
IT'S SO BAD
It's worse than Arma 2's creator tool. Zeus was good, especially when combined with mods like MCC.
Optimisation aswell is awful on this, and I have a fairly expensive setup, and it STRUGGLES to run this but will run anything new perfectly fine. Anything released in 2022-2023 runs fine on high for me, for example hogwarts legacy is fine, but this game just cries instantly and wants to kill my pc
i have watched HOURS of PvP gameplay and seen maybe one true gunfight. this game looks boring as fuck
On another note I think you need to re-look now, I play regular and its great fun
yeah, lets go play arma3
I’ve put in over 300hrs in this game and the sad thing is I have arma 3 too
