  • Naval hegemon by 1550, 1k trade income by 1600. Yep, that's EU4 Netherlands. In Winds of Change DLC the Dutch can inherit England along with all of its colonial subjects with 1 click and it makes 'United Crowns' the new richest playing tall formable in Europa Universalis 4.

    Hey! If you have good relations, high dip rep and trust with a nation, you can charter company for a couple 1000 ducats less, which I think is worth it if you have the relation slot open :)

    Your income increase comes from full control of the English channel node.
    England leeched as your PU vassal 17% of your trade income in the trade node.
    You annexed them, this trade income now goes into your pockets.

      yeah thanks for pointing out! this and the good producer united crowns modifier made the huge income leap, just had to cut out a lot of shit i said due to the video length and trying not to repeat myself too many times

    The tulip mania was a historical event in mostly Holland and Utrecht. It is regarded as the first economic bubble in history. Investers speculated on the prize of tulips so they became massively overpriced, and then the bubble collapsed.

      The states general pretty much killed the practise after that by issuing a law. There was also a lot of discussion in the upper class about the people that were speculating. A lot of pamphlets were spread around that were making jokes about them or ridiculing them, there were very much not liked, also because of religious reasons

      i watched a short documentary about this, interesting piece of history and now it makes sense why it's represented with that annoying disaster/inflation rise
