Hope you guys enjoy this one!! 🔀I shared the save file with Provence claims agenda selected here: www.patreon.com/GolemEnt Let me know in the comments in which year you were able to unify Italy as Papal state.⬇
Just watched the start of the video, got couple of thoughts. Ur main asset in the start is admin mana and AE. 1) U wasted too much of AE on provence, while u need only 1 coastal province from them, better with COT. Then u can core it, conquer and core corsica, and when time comes(99 perc of the time, or u can finish that business giving their other provinces to france later), release provence from 2 provinces, give them corsica and VOILA. If u dont wanna wait for provence to vanish, u can release barois from their north lands, and vassalize the rest 2) When u reconquest CB Naples, u can take one province to urself and release naples OPM for reconquest CB vs aragon. Its a ton of AE on sicily u miss out Will comment more when i finish video tomorrow
@@GolemEnt In general as a pope u dont care about any strong alliances of ur enemies. Coz u can ally almost anyone and call to another war. Thats why i would just get aix and release TPM provence later on. This way u save a lot of AE early on, and u can spend it on getting those COTs in florence and lucca PS: the trick i always do in italy, and i never see it in utube guides is allying OPMs, currying favors, feeding them a big nation like milan/florence etc, and get all provinces back by favors. Especially when u want to vassalize enemy, like florence, who have tier2 great project in capital
Papal state is so fun. It has a dusty, dusty mission tree with mostly only temporary bonuses. It also really should have the Deus Vult CB after forming the Kingdom of God.
When I saw that you seize land on Provence, I think you could wipe Naples with Provencal reconquest then release Naples as an OPM and take Sicily against Aragon with the napoli reconquest. This would cripple Aragon further and even land you in Iberia releasing 2 additional vassals or take some land yourself to grow stronger. Alternatively you can take one province from Naples in the reconquest peace deal and release them once they're dead.
@@benabaxter So as part of the Catholic Cardinal mechanics, they'd only be appointed randomly on the same continent the Pope was on, meaning that you'd end up with next to no cardinals up there. They've changed the mechanics a lot since though, but it's also just fun to be a Crusader Battle Pope and Africa is full of easy conquests
To help with the adm problem I think full annex Naples with provonce cores the release Naples from calabria to get cores on all of Sicily would be way more cost effective
You stay as Kingdom if join HRE as Papal States? 😮 That changes things as i really like my diplomat that come from Kingdom title, enough that make joining HRE manually give me pause.
Great work! I would say that from an RP perspective, the Kingdom of God should really be focusing on heathens. (It's good on the AE front, too) Is there going to be a sequel? Sure hope so...

@ruslantyshtykbayev9719 i like the way you think, mostly i'm sad that i didn't think of vassalizing naples for sicily

To check one-way truces, right click on your own nation, rather than the nation you have that truce with.
Thanks that got me confused af 🤦♂️

Appointing a Cardinal creates a One-way Truce (you have a truce with them, they don't have a truce with you).
your the man was thinking about starting a papal state campaign and then you release this video thanks for the inspiration man
thanks for watching! gl in your campaign 🫡

yep 1st government reform is fixed to kingdom rank so you can't be demoted and kingdom of god is then fixed to empire

i will!
Love the video broski. Gotta love that papal ae reduction. Too good. Kingdom of God is a amazing nation to do a world Conquest with. Love you broski!
You're right. Love u too g!
Wow! You got Savoy and Milan to ally?
Could you leave Naples as a one-province vassal and then use their cores to take Sicily for less AE?
I was thinking when he seized a province from Provence that was what he was going to do
Definitely. If i played this again, that's what i'd do!
Hype hype hype.
