I love this plane. Best Carenado offering so far. Two flight so far and I already feel like I've gotten my money's worth.
I really love this plane! They really impressed me, considering I was expecting it to be nearly identical to the Seminole. Also, I quite like the sounds. I didn't realize people were taking issue with it.
To those wondering about that small screen on the windshield right in front of the pilot, its meant to be an anti-ice, not de-ice. Its more of a pre-measure vs being for after the icing has started. Nice review as always.
Thanks for that :-)
This product is very good and I don't have a problem with the sound.
You can feather and un feather the props in flight and it feels right with a failed engine landing.
Things are getting a lot better in the sim world. PS don't open the DV window in flight.
I was hoping for the Seneca II. It was many years ago but I had the pleasure of flying in a Seneca II with a friend for at least a couple of hours. I remember it being very responsive and smooth, and it felt solid in the air. It was very comfortable and an absolute pleasure to fly. I've had the Carenado Seneca II in FS9 and FSX and I was really pleased with them. I'm sure I'm going to be buying this. Nice review!
This light twin is alot of fun! Very happy with it. I used to fly one years ago for real! Takes me back.
I love this aircraft. The weather radar was recently updated with the update to the sim, and is now functional too.
Enjoyed this excellent and entertaining review, will be adding to my hangar and subscribed! Keep em coming please!
Awesome, thank you!
Thankyou for this review. I've been waiting for a decent 'old-school' twin for MSFS and the Seminole just didn't seem to cut the mustard. The Seneca is much closer to my favourite twins of all time, the RealAir Simulations Duke B60 and Turbine Duke. Can't wait for the compatibility with the PS50 GTN 750 that Carenado have promised. This is going in my hangar right now.
Bout the same for me, the Seminole is a great stand in for an Aztec.
7:30 Wow those are NOT the sounds a twin engine piston makes. But, like you said, everything else is superb. Great video as always.
I have the Seminole and I love it. I'm flying around the world and use it most times. Really would like to pick this up looks great, I dig the older "all gauges" set up in planes from the 70's-90's.
Couldn't agree more!
Absolutely their best offering by far. Have to agree, they really got a lot right with this one. Hopefully they might upgrade the sound. Wonderful review.
I think like many developers they're learning as they go... this new sim is quite different dev side... the funny part is a lot of things LOOK like the old way... but aren't... and them changing stuff all the time makes it hard to keep up unlike p3d and fsx... stable platforms.
Nice cockpit. I love flying in and out of KORS~ Steve Miller use to live just around here somewhere...east of Friday Harbour. RUclips shows his estate he sold, gorgeous
Ok gonna pick this one up on your recommendation...beside I love hearing your voice!
You are my favorite aircraft reviewer, informative and entertaining at the same time.
Thank you :D
I really can't tell you how much I enjoy your reviews!! Although I have a funny story about this one, I was playing it in the background while I was doing something else and when I clicked back I'm watching it and getting more and more unhappy as an owner of the PA-44 Seminole.....thinking basically they had copied and pasted the cockpit over.........Until I figured out I was watching the PA-44 review!!!
XD Nice work lol. And thank you!
I enjoyed the this review very much. I checked all your other reviews and did not find one for the Eurofighter. Will you be doing one for that Aircraft? Keep up the great work , love your channel.
Not sure, it’s one I didn’t really get to at the time of release and I’m not a huge jet person
Dammit, now I'm thinking about crumpets. Great review as usual though (wish the engine sound was better).
If you have the Alpha yoke the starter is probably still on start which is why you’re getting those warnings. You need to move the switch to both
Edit: I posted this comment before the point where you figured it out in the video lol
Yup lol, I forget it sometimes
Doesn’t spring to both like a real one that won’t sit on start
@@AvAngel yeah that’s something I’d change on the alpha if I could. It should spring back to both.
for flying across Canada it has to be the twin Otter.....
Big fan of Carenado work and owner of the PA44 , M20R and P28R. I really think about getting that one too :P
I also have the PA20, and the PR44, I truly enjoy both of these aircraft, and looks as though Coronado has done it again with this one as well.
I’ll most likely purchase this in the future, I have a couple others in mind first, and want the Orca airport added to my collection also, hard to make these decisions with so many offerings out there..LOL!
Cheers Mate!
Everyone knows its pixie dust that makes the spark-plugs spark, not the magnetos. XD
Love the review. Keep up the good work!
Nice review "Doodah" got me laughing. I love Carenado but I may pass on this one only for the fact those big engine cowlings make it very unfriendly for VFR. Love the accent, can't decide if you're Brit, Aussie or Kiwi. Anyway, greetings from Canada.
I’m British 😀 and thanks
I am rather interested in purchasing it but always to remember to watch Your videos first before deciding wheather to purchase a new aeoroplane or not Thank You
Hope you enjoy it!
Angel, I’m going to buy this based on your review and the fact that Carenado always seems to nail it. Best offering so for them? Do you know if they have fixed the sound on this since it’s released? Once again you tickle my humor and my appreciation of the details that you offer blows away
Your competition !!! I don’t fly the heavies and you strike the cord of what I’m looking for. Thank you
Don’t think they updated the sound on this, they sadly don’t update a ton , it’s good but the skymaster has been my go to since it came out .
Thanks, wonderful review! Really nice looking airport too. Is that an addon?
Yes it is, Orbx’s Orcas Island
Already have the PA44. Sadly all carenado aircraft look similar in cockpits which suck.
The pipers do yes, general brand similarity
Just to add to AvAngel's review: The sounds are "fixed" and the PA34 sounds great now (I don't know whatever they are close to the real thing though)
yeah it is, still not a fan of the cockpit view out, but its certianly better sounding now.
A little late to the comment party 1 year later. Great job with this review and a lot of your videos in general, AvAngel. I love flying this aircraft, but when I shoot RNAV approches, I can capture the glide path once I arm the approach mode on default aircraft. I can't do it with this aircraft. Does anyone know if this is an issue with Carenado or with Asobo? Thanks!
So you're the one that's been parking in MY HANGAR at Orcas when I'm not there! :-) Ugh, I'm torn now. I've been holding out for the Twin Otter, but I still have no idea when it's coming. Now this comes along and I don't know which one to buy.
I've got it too, it's gorgeous to fly !
Out for Xbox today! 4-28-22
Darn it, y'all are making it more difficult to not hit that Buy Now button. Hehehe.
:D
Hi thanks for doing the review.. i had this a/c for P3D and i found it was really hard on the frame rate and was wondering if this works any better? i am running MSFS and I do have a high end system and everything for the most part runs very smooth just dont want to waste my money on this if it isnt a good performer.
What is that square item in the windshield (on top of the dash)?
only part of the windshield that has anti icing
Greetings, I am having an issue with my rudder pedals drifting back to center not sure if it is an issue with Caranado Seneca, seems to have started when I installed the aircraft. Anyone else have issues? I have calibrated them and checked many times with other aircraft, same thing happens. Ty.
Is there any simbrief airframe for the Carenado PA-34?
Great video thanks
Have you tried single engine operation with low speed, like 90-100, during climb? How's the sound like in your view? I have this plane on xplane and the sound doesn't look good when cruising and then setting to idle during flight it pretty much doesn't change.
Even though I already bought, I would like to see what you think about the 103 solo just released by Asobo
I'll get it, but honestly i have the existing power solo... which baffles me as to why they'd do something >> that's already out >
Hello, I have the free version of the GTN750 in my 414 but do not know how to put it in my Seneca or if I can. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Ty
Seneca, its in the tablet.
I got a problem with one engine inoperative flying. Is there anybody who can assist?
What we want now is the baby brother single Engine PA 32 - Saratoga to complete the MSFS Carenado GA retractable's
I don’t mind the fixed Cherokee six either!
@@AvAngel I very much agree since I used to own one - following the Arrow - then the early Saratoga - then the early Seneca - so you see the reason for my comment.
Carenado have the P3D Saratoga - but it has glass - and Carenado went back to steam "G's" in this model of Seneca 5
Nice video; thanks. Do you like this one better than the EMB-110 Bandeirante?
Different class of aircraft tbh, one is a commuter and this a ga twin, turboprop and piston... I like both but this is nice
@@AvAngel Thanks for
getting back to me. Yes, I get it,; it's like comparing a bus to a minivan. I just wanted to know if you preferred one over the other.
I love both for different reasons though there’s more for your money with the 110
Nice presentation and what is the squared frame in the pilots view?
Anti ice heated region
@@AvAngel Thanks
Love your videos. But please please don't put background music on....you don't need it and it may be annoying to some
Wait.... I remember your voice, FireKitten?
Indeed... a different life/channel from that stuff.
@@AvAngel That's awesome! Been waiting for a good MSFS Channel and it's even someone who I use to watch often. I'll be watching you for most of my go-to stuff now! Love the video's keep it up:)
Appreciate it! Do my best to create stuff I wanted back in my fsx days looking for addons and info… stuff that still rarely exists
Nice Video!
Looks fab. Maybe the second plane I shell out for (after the Embraer). Maybe not the best aircraft for sightseeing although if you want an A to B kind of sensible twin this may be the one. One thing though, I've heard some people complaining about the autopilot. What are your experiences of the IFR side of the Seneca?
None yet, this is my first time flying it :)
Hello, I bought Seneca yesterday, was wondering how to access the iPad for doors etc? Ty
iPad is in the side pocket now iirc and doors by clicking them 😀
@@AvAngel thank you, happy flying!
Hello, I'm not sure what iirc is. Can't find iPad.
@@matthewulmer4945 iirc = if I recall correctly. Go to your co.pilot door, the lower end front and you’ll find the iPad.
Where were you flying from?
Orcas Island, KORS.
how did you enable jit (just-in -time)?
To the author have you ever heard the senica 5?
Yes
Well done AVAngel, good vid as always but the sound is not right, will stay with the Just Flight PA-28
I adore you very much. I0
Thank you 🙏
Is it worth me getting this if I've already got the Bandeirante?
Different class of aircraft, piston vs turboprop, GA vs commuter... if you like that this is a ton of fun for smaller flights.
What about the FPS? compared to the default TBM?
About the same honestly.
@@AvAngel Do you recommend it? Does the IFR works?
Yes and it does
Unlearned from make videos???
I don't understand sorry.
Can you maybe make your future reviews less negitive, complaining about sound whilst admiting you dont know what they sound like is like me reviewing fishing rods whilst nver fishing, The senica V is a well respected platform in GA plus its Continental as opposed to lycoming engines give a quiet and balanced experience. Remember opinion without knowlage is just arrogance.
I prefer to be critical but balanced. Saying that I don’t like them is my right... and they don’t sound like continentals. Yes it’s a respected platform irl but this is a sim version. Carenado notoriously derp sounds, I’m giving my impression, nothing more.
@@AvAngel okay...
Imagine claiming someone is being overly negative, then going through the extra effort to leave a completely unnecessary negative comment on a RUclips video when it would've been so much easier to not say anything at all. Arrogance indeed.
@@Maverick_1b dito.... the irony is strong with this one.
