AvAngel. Thank you for a terrific demonstration of the Mooney. I am new to flight simming (started with the purchase of MSFS 2020), so having started learning in the sim on a 152 with manual gauges, the Mooney was a nice addition and I am loving it.
I loved it till I flew it back from Texas to Abbotsford, BC, Canada. Wow, long flight! For some reason I lost control of my landing gear and had to belly land it about 6 times! ? No idea what I did lol. I love the panel layout.
The flight model sounds pretty spot on. I'm convinced nothing flies quite as nicely as a Mooney. Really an airplane that wants to fly and go wherever you look.
A great review of a great addon. Been using the C152 for 90%+ of my flights due to the glass cockpit performance. Looking forward to getting this once my bravo throttle arrives. I like your relaxed and informative style. You have a new subscriber.
Thanks! I’ve got it and love it! It took a while for me to get used to this powerful beast. The speed breaks are handy. I recently got caught in ice in bad weather but the good old Mooney blasted through it and I flew purely on instruments for a while until I could descend.
Beautiful landing there Rachael, butter. Not familiar with that aircraft but looks like she flies great and you seem impressed. Excited to see the kit fox you mentioned when it’s done as I’m a huge fan of home builds. Loving the new channel
What do you have? I have an older one I paid $125 for it from my friend. I3, 16 ram, I think the gpu card is a Radeon 500. I have this plane, lovin it more then a BigMac
Thanks! Just map a yoke button for ATC. Yeah, I really miss the ability to edit the aircraft.cfg file in FS9 to add (e.g., radio altimeter) or replace (e.g. DG to HSI) instruments. BtW, Vref for an M20R is about 77 kias, so use those fancy speed brakes--that's what they're there for!
I can't seem to get them to work in my damn sim... the button doesn't ever work, i need to get round to fixing it, but I fly mostly aircraft that never have them.
A Spot on Review as usual and...Seneca Twin and Cessna 337 for me was rubbish for various reasons soo is this worth it and what of SU9 and will wait till SU10 before purchasing anything
Definitely on my list to buy, but I feel too guilty to jump on it quite yet when I haven't even had much time to fly the last plane I got (Piper Seneca) yet. But definitely on my list.
I purchased this AC and there seem to be a few quirks that don't seem quiet real. For starters the rudder seems to become ineffective at take off so much so that you cannot steer this plane using the second effect of the rudder (which you made need to do if undertaking a Nav exercise). When I opened the Perspex window at cruise it caused a major structural failure (at least I think it did might have been coincidence don't think so though).
If this Sims crash detection is anything like fsx, disable it... It doesn't recognize most third party actions well... And from the file digging I've done, the aerodynamic engine seems like p3d/fax.... Hence why I disable those factors, if I crash or seriously overstress, I'm a grown up and recognise why... I'd rather have cool features than derpy ", realism"
Great review, nice looking plane! I'm looking for a fast, long range GA plane and this really fits the bill (though it is now 10 months old) and I'll probably pick this Mooney up. Are there any other planes that come close to this that I should look at? Thanks!
I just bought this aircraft from Marketplace but it doesn't seem to have been installed. As this is my first "payware" aircraft, am I doing something wrong or should it have automatically installed. It shows up as "owned" but not as "installed". Tips welcome.
Hey AvAngelica, this is one of my popular go to GA choices. That and the Piper Archer. Cross c0untry is the Cessna Mustang. Faster and shorter trips. Whats your "GO TO" regualar choices when relaxing in mfs2020?

Its a great little addon honestly, I have rarely been disapointed by Carenado's offerings... They're pretty solid usually.

I'm very excited because this just came out for xbox today!

I appreciate that thanks!
Ah the mooney, what a classic, great work from Carenado as always.
Spectacular short flight in a Mooney, what a great little plan. Nice job pilot!
Hi Rach I’m here as well now. 🙃 great vid love flight sim.

Yeah... If historic trends move from that Devs xplane builds... Don't hold your breath
AvAngel that’s a real shame as it would’ve been great to see more homebuilds in the sim
Awesomeness flying I wish I had the computer capable of playing this amazing simulator but I still enjoy watching this content

@@ellonysman I know it's a low end PC so probably an 15 ram. And I'm not sure about the Gpu.

Great review, thank you!
Hi Rachel! Nice to hear you and your voice again. Subbed!
Hey Egil! been a while :) Hope you're doing well :)
I am oafishle the 877 subscriber love the stream that you did on your over channel love your vids keep up the good work :-)
Thank you 🙂
😱 I've driven that road, there are eagles in those fields!
Great video, great job by Carenado with this aircraft. What's the departure airport name? It's a beautiful location. Thanks a lot. 👋
Great video new sub. Surprised you didn’t use the spoilers / air brake. To slow her down in flight

I'm missing my Mooney. I wish MS would post Carenado's update to the Marketplace. I've been flying the Cirrus but I want some steam gauges.
We are hoping to get it with the Marketplace update on Thursday this week.
@@WhiteHawk77 Yep, all updated.
Great video!!! Don't forget about the speedbrakes.
Mooney's and most ga planes don't have speed brakes.
@@AvAngel Mooney's do have speedbrakes. Look it up. They are modeled.
It needs them as well. This plane is so slippery in real life it’s a challenge to get it to fly slow.
Love the flight sim stuff

I expect some quirks like the radio stack bug and rudder will be patched, they updated the 182 pretty fast
Thank you👍

At the moment there’s this, the Seneca and Seminole really for faster ga planes

Try going to the content manager and check, you should be able to install it there.
HOLD UP I JUST REALISED YOUR FIREKITTEN LMAO
I mean.... Am I? Or is she me? Who is she really? Who knows....
Wait, is she? huh.
Where on the panel is the air brakes
I've been told the Mooney's have speed brakes, but not something I expected as a ga pilot. Most don't have them.
They have 2 small steel brakes that pop out the top of the wing. Been using it if fsx steam for a while.
Where did you Get this aircraft?
Official marketplace
@@AvAngel THX, will take a look, love the videos

For general ga cruising the Comanche or carenado v35 . Longer, turbine duke or pc12
@@AvAngel Yes, I feel like a showoff in the V tail. Agreed! lol Love it.
