Chad, glad to see you doing good man. You were always my favorite FPV character. Just bought my 5th reverb frame. Thought I’d search RUclips to see what chad has been up to.
Carlos really entertaining guy that made you feel "cool" flying FPV, you guys just made RR feel like an extended friend group. It's great to see you guys doing well after your FPV journey and I must say Carlos is creating some very cool animated characters. He's still great to follow even out of the FPV scene. It would be cool to see Chad just do a few videos as he is such a charismatic guy.
"just some nerds in a park.". Heard kind of the same line at an fpv race yesterday. "Just nerds playing with toys.". Loved the series. Chad is one of my idols too.
Good to see Chad doing well and enjoying life again. Have always been a fan and his flying inspired me alot over the years and he was always one of the guys I wanted to sit down and have a beer with if he ever came down the coast.
Love Chad's perspective on things He's one of my heroes too. Charpu,Chad,Tommy and Steal the "Fantastic 4" of FPV . ....ok I like Stingy ,skitzo, and Bardwell too But that sounds more like "Superfriends"
"Nerds in a park" is definitely something I bring up often. People forget that this hobby is tiny, also that its basically just an extension of kids playing video games. Whether you strap a camera to it and flippy flop around a park, or peg the throttle on a race track, its all fun and games. Even the most successful, whether you consider that making money or just popularity, is pretty mediocre in the grand scheme of things.
@@draynor77 💯 definitely an inspiration of mine in the day. @juz70 What a legend! .... seeing when he flew thru the car for the first time my brain exploded! "dude, you have to see this!" "what the hell is this voodoo??!" Haha. I built a Lumenier QAV250 and a Blackout Mini-H shortly thereafter, both identically specced with Naze32 boards and Sunnysky motors and Spektrum DX7 radio. Geezus, what a learning curve that was. It was a nightmare researching that stuff at the time.
If you want a real challenge, try to track down & interview 'timecop', the father of the naze32 & baseflight, from where all modern flight controllers came from. FPV wouldn't be where it is today without him, yet he basically disappeared and gets zero credit & hardly any mention at all. He was a very controversial dude.

Juz70 is who Chad is referring to when he can't remember. An early OG FPV legend.
