In my world Civ class we use CNN 10 it's like a student version. They covered fpv last week showed some mountain shots saying that fpv is taking us places we couldn't go before.
Damn Bob, super proud to see your growth on the subject (foreign trade)! One long wild ride watching the hobby blossom into an industry. Better understanding capitalism along the way. Your too humble though brotha, you guided the scene in all the right ways all from those lil brushed 65mm propped joyrides. Notice how the micro scenes regressed into your earlier revisions of finding the grail micro. Thanks Bob and Mike for taking us back.
I didnt like Fat Shark because they had 100% market and later because they did nothing to satisfy customers instead they had a "TAKE IT OR LEAVE IT" attitude and I wholly agree with Bob on that point
As many feel of Frsky. I still gave in and got hdo2s when I could cause aomway and eachine left alot to be desired in the old days. Exciting times though, alot of different industry big names having fires lit under their arses.
Where would we be if Bob owned Fatshark? Could we all pitch in and buy Bob Fatshark? Great show, love the steampunk orange lights on black, 2 thumbs up.
Saturday’s dirt bike race on NBCSN had a couple of drones broadcasting live footage of the race. One pilot was tracking so close he went under the banner at a jump while chasing the top two riders. Very cool footage. I’m guessing it was dji?
Still a disparity in audio levels. No resolution yet? . Did you all catch the 4 min video on the opening of Ep 3 of HBO's Hard Knocks with a cinewhoop last week? It got s lot of attention.
All three episodes were all one session, recorded at one time, with all of the audio on one track. Not much I could do as I’m not that practiced with audio editing. Swapping to different tracks would help a lot.
@@MichaelRollins Ah ok. I didn't consider it was all one show cut into shorter ones. It all makes sense now. . I'm curious if Shark Byte is going to be the only response to the DJI Digital solution? They only time I've seen it used is one a few RR videos. Just based on videos, most have adopted the DJI design. Fat Shark is probably kicking themselves for being so slow.
Chris and I share most of the same ideas. I've done the real world testing to confirm what he presents. Pancake motors aren't useful for getting the immense power we want but they do improve the heat dissipation and cooling properties of the motor. You want a mix of both. As wide as you can go for the height you need to get the given power you want. I've worked really hard to find the limit of how to put a motor together and tune it to get all the performance that can reliably be had out of the given motor design we're unfortunately stuck with for now. It's been a really interesting journey that is extravagantly complex. Nothing is very straightforward
Bob is a class act. I like that he's humble about his influence.
Great interview! I love the history, and it's always interesting to hear Bob's take on things. Good memories too!
Yes its very true. Bob is a terrible salesman. 😆 he always talks me out of buying stuff from his store. Too honest and too nice. Gotta love Bob!

What about Ardupilot I know its not so much quad but still in constant development. And cool as all hell.
Of course. But ardupilot isn't really useful for FPV specific flying.

@@amen_ra6926 Look on Ryan Quellet's channel
the HDzero camera is really good
What does he think about Chris Rosser explaining that shorter, wider, flat pancakey motors are not better?
What like 2307 motors aren't better ? For what 5 inch ?

Horse power and torque need to work together based on the prop.
Id pay for betaflight
