Saw VRFlyer in 08...started flying a Dynam Hawksky plane in 09 and fit one with 900mhz fpv gear by late 09. Was using a set of gaming glasses with AV ports to plug my 900mhz rx into. The days when I dreamed of hovering in FPV.
Chad such a cool guy and got me into flying. Does break my lil heart to hear he doesn't fly FPV at all anymore. I've been seeing people getting burned out on it lately and selling their stuff n giving up.
I recently got into fpv. It’s fascinating to catch up on its legacy members. Now I wish I’d heard of this great hobby earlier. Thanks for these episodes!
I love quad history too. I started on MultiWii and have done a lot of research on the beginnings of MultiWii because lets face it, that is where it all started period. No MultiWii and no BetaFlight or anything
Good stuff. thank you for a pleasant am discussion... My kids screaming during the whole thing is why I'm shutting the door now and going to do it all again... I can relate... haha. it's all good. iPads have been deployed. 9:30 am and daddy is DONE
The escs...and the exploding props were the worst. 2016 flite fest I was still flying some nylon or glass fiber props from banggood that I had cut down when I caught Chad just after some flying and his props were all bent at 90 degrees. I joked aww just bend them back.. And he did. 😲😲. Mind blown and I bought new props.
Always great to hear what chad has to say, he was great for the hobby. But for the history thing, you need to get juz70 on (that's a challenge). juz70 then chad got me into the hobby
I miss the Forum based knowledge exchanges, think there is something to putting your thoughts in text... verse just kinda saying it... reading vs listening while doing other things. Feel like I forgot about Forums for 5 years while having kids and now the world has changed...
Michael, I see yourself trying to buff up your lighting. beware that if you put warm lamps in the background, but still use cold light as your main light to light your head, it is easy to get your face too cold, with lots of magenta tones making you look a lot less healthy than you probably are. TLDR: your whitebalance is too cold for nice healthy skin colors. Sorry, it's my profession, bad whitebalance jumps into my face screaming, nothing I can do about it XD
In no way, shape or form would I ever fault you for this critique. Thank you so very much! I think it might be the case that I was filming the intro during the mid-morning, but the interview at a different time (late afternoon). I'll take a look and see what I can find. Do you have any good YT videos you would recommend on it? Always happy to up my game!
@@MichaelRollins hmm no sorry, but filmmaking and whitebalance as search term should get you set. Essentially what you wanna do is manually set whitebalance, auto wb can easily set you off. If your main-light is a window recording on a different time of day will throw you off, but i'd place my bet on auto-whitebalance in this case ...
Always love hearing from Chad so the technical quality of the sound is very much secondary to the value of the content. Great stuff Mike.
Definitely. Not everyone has a studio or proper place to conduct an interview.
Miss his videos more than any other. What a dude.
Chad Nowak has done more for FPV than anyone would ever know. He's one of my favourite people let alone pilot.
It’s good to see and hear Chad again. Well done Michael.
Really nice!!! Glad you got Chad out... I must say, he was my favourite tester back in a day ;)))) Was so much fun ;)))
Great vid...good to hear Chad talk our old school days. Don't forget us Wing guy's....we go back even farther in FPV.
Omg the legend returns???
Chad is my favourite pilot, love him, Champ forever!
Oh I miss this dude. Thank you Michael! ❤️
So glad to see Chad doing well, I was just wondering about him the other day! Thanks for putting this together Michael.
Chad's a Legend!🤛
My favorite pilot starting out was chad. dude is fucking hilarious too!
True founding father. So much respect and gratitude for fuelling my interests all those years ago. Thanks for another great interview mate.

Nowak is still alive ?
Nice. It was Nowak and steele that got me into this hobby to being with.

You always have the best stuff!
👌. keep going until you run into the inception of FPV before going back to the future 😉

Wow why didnt people use rc csr escs ? I raced back in the 90s and they had re gen braking hi frequency switching etc etc
Man I miss chad nowak. He really had a huge role in me starting Fpv. Btw you misspelled his name in the thumbnail "novak"
The good ole day's 😉
Still waiting for OG mister.C

So your saying this man is the originator of fPV?
Nah lol 😂

turns out the problem is only pronounced in the intro, seems fine during the interview ...
